Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.”  Psalm 33:18-22

Prosperity – Only If You Think So!

Prosperity – Only If You Think So!

Are Your Thoughts Holding a Vision for Growing Prosperity?

Living a prosperous life and attracting those things that make it abundant and fulfilling require directing your thoughts. General concepts, vague desires, fuzzy or wishful thinking do not have the power to create a specific result because they are not specific thoughts.

The following three keys will help you prosper by directing your thoughts correctly:

#1 Have a Clear Mental Picture

You must form a clear vision of what you want to do, have, or become. It is key to know specifically what you want, before you can ask for it. It is not enough to have a general thought of desire for wealth, health, or a loving relationship. Most people wish for these things.  A clear, specific, mental picture of what you want must be formed in your thoughts in order to put the creative power of your mind into action.

#2 Keep a Clear Mental Picture in Your Mind Continually

A clear vision of what you want must continually be in your thoughts. If your mental picture is clear and specific with details, the more you’ll think on it and the more you’ll desire it. Your desire must be strong enough to keep your thoughts directed toward that thing continually. The stronger the desire becomes the easier it will be to keep your focus on what you want. This in turn acts like a magnet drawing that desired thing to you.

#3 Unwavering Faith is Required to Take Possession of the Thought

A clear and concise, constant mental image also requires an unwavering faith to materialize and take possession of the vision. Live in the mental realm with full enjoyment of what you desire until it takes form around you physically. Take possession of it in your mind with the full power of faith that it is actually yours. Do not waver in your faith for even one instant that it is real.

Jesus told us in Mark 11:24 “Whatsoever things you ask for when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” Also note that in verse 22 He said “Have faith in God.” Then in verse 23 He also said “Do not doubt in your heart.”

Grow prosperity in your life by formulating your thoughts into specific, clear, mental images of what you desire. Take mental ownership of the desire in your vision and keep it continually in your thoughts. Keep the vision with unwavering faith until you obtain it and prosper.

May you experience growing prosperity in your life as you direct your thoughts daily in faith!

Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing.

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”  Psalm 100

Keeping Secrets Keeps You From Prospering

Keeping Secrets Keeps You From Prospering

Are Your Secrets Preventing You From Prospering?

Our potential to prosper in life is hindered by our hidden feelings, attitudes, and ideas.  Our secrets burden us.  Keeping secrets equals keeping stuck.  Anything hidden has power over us because we fear it may be found out.

The choice to keep our inner selves shielded and a secret to others is ours to make.  Risking vulnerability from sharing who we are takes strength, and a great deal of courage.  With the exception of God, we can never be certain that those we open up to won’t betray us.  However, we can be certain that the things we keep hidden will haunt us.  Our secrets kept in the dark prevent our personal growth and prosperity.

You can be free from the power of darkness.  First John 1:5 says God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.  The reward of total honesty and bringing secret things into light, is greater intimacy with God, ourselves, and others.  Truth and honesty makes possible a level of friendship that vanishes self-doubts and turns all situations into opportunities for greater happiness.

You may be tempted today to keep some secrets.  I encourage you to let the light of God shine on your hidden motives and dark places. (He knows them already anyway.)  Sharing and being honest with those we are close to will relieve us of burdens that only weigh us down and keep us from prospering in life.

First John 1:6 says that if we say we have fellowship with God, but walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice truth.  It then goes on to say in verse seven, that if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

So whether you look at this spiritually or naturally, when we deceive ourselves and keep things secret, we hinder our spiritual relationship with God and our natural relationships with people from prospering.  Allowing others to really know us creates greater opportunities for growth and happiness.  Only when we open up and tell the truth do people trust us.  Honesty is a quality that will assure growing prosperity in our relationships and in our lives.

Enjoy growing prosperity as you walk in the light and live a life of truth!

Be blessed,
Brenda

How Can a Life of Excellence Produce Prosperity?

How Can a Life of Excellence Produce Prosperity?

Excellence Produces Prosperity and Who Doesn’t Want Prosperity?

Why just settle for a life of getting by and simply existing when you can live a life of excellence that brings growing prosperity into your life?  You have a God given potential for excellence.  Discover it and use it to live a prosperous life!

Excellence is defined as “superiority, great value or worth.”  Obviously the areas of your life that are superior and of great value are going to produce prosperity.  (While at the same time those areas of little value produce little return.)

So how do we achieve excellence?  Understanding God’s Word enables us to achieve excellence in every area of life.  Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s greatest presidents, said, “I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to men.  All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated through this book.”

You can have excellent health, excellent relationships, an excellent business, and an excellent spirit.  Proverbs 17:27 says:

“He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.”

Living with determination to do things with excellence in life will bring the reward of growing prosperity. How can it not?

  • If you purpose to excel on your job and be the best employee you can, increase in the form of promotion and raises come your way.
  • If you decide to be the best spouse you can be and live with that purpose, the result is a satisfying and full-filling marriage.
  • If you are a parent living with the daily purpose of excellence, those planted seeds produce prosperity in your children’s lives.
  • If you are a business owner that keeps the spirit of excellence as a foundational principle, you also keep your business in a position of growing prosperity.

Having a spirit of excellence can bring attacks from others.  However, don’t be concerned with others that want to attack your standard.  It is normal for those who cut corners or have lower standards to get offended and criticize excellence.  You don’t need to look far to see that a lower standard does NOT produce prosperity.  Yes, I know, it may appear at times that it does.  But, take a closer look, and in the long run you’ll see that cutting corners only cuts away at a foundation.  A life of excellence builds a strong foundation so that prosperity can grow in your life.

Give God your best and always do your best for His glory.  When Mary anointed Jesus’ head and feet with expensive ointment, Judas was angered.  Mary did not get offended at this attack; because she was determined to do what God was directing her to do with excellence.  She poured out her best that day wholeheartedly.  Jesus told the people to leave her alone and because she gave with excellence for His glory it would be remembered and told as a memorial of her (Matt 26:12-13).

A wholehearted approach to everything you do in life will produce prosperity because of your spirit of excellence.  We all desire to see prosperity growing in our lives.  Living a life of excellence produces prosperity and also honors God.  So we should all have a goal of working to maintain the highest quality of reputation of excellence.  Start today to develop a reputation of excellence in all that you do.

Enjoy the growing prosperity that living a life of excellence will bring your way!
