Graduation: Your Story
Writing the Next Chapter in Your Life
Graduation: Your Story (Video by Skit Guys)
“As you graduate you are closing a chapter and beginning a brand new one…
as you write the rest of your story…
Remember to work hard – Remember to listen more than you talk -
Make relationships that will last a lifetime -
Find the right person to marry, and remember you have to be the right person too -
Make sure you take risks – Travel as much as you can -
Always remember to laugh – And most important…
Don’t forget to call your mom, she still worries about you!
Christ said I have come to give you life, and life to the fullest…
This is what you have the chance to achieve -
LIFE – So Go On Living!
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
– Jesus (John 10:10)
This time of year brings many graduations and graduation parties. These are exciting times for young people as they wrap up one chapter in life and move into the next…
It is also a great time to remind us all, regardless of age, that life is constantly moving from one season of life to the next, and it is important to continue to celebrate life!
God bless you always -
Cheers,
Brenda
The Cards You Have Been Dealt In Life – Skit Guys Video
A look at life: The Good and the Bad
My pastor reminds us regularly that “Life is Life for Everyone!”
None of us want to deal with the difficult seasons in life, but that is a part of the package of life. And everyone who walks this earth is going to face them.
Consider Jesus, the son of God. Having already dealt with trials and temptations and then facing crucifixion He prayed, “Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.”
Then immediately there appeared an angel to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony He prayed more earnestly. (Luke 22:42-44)
May we strive to always be more like Jesus and trust God. To pray that God’s will be done, regardless of the suffering we may have to go through.
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:18
We don’t have to give thanks FOR the difficult times, but we do have to continue to give thanks to God IN the midst of them.
God bless you,
Brenda

A Majestic God – Psalm 8 Christian Meditation Video
A great video reminder by bluefishtv of how majestic our Lord is!
“O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!
who have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings have you ordained strength
because of your enemies, that you might still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
What is man, that you are mindful of him?
and the son of man that you visit him?
For you have made him a little lower than the angels,
and have crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him to have domininion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yes, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever
passes through the paths of the seas.
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!”
– Psalm 8

How Smart Are We Really? April Fool’s Day or Life?
A Little Smart Humor Video
In light of it being April Fool’s Day, I thought I’d share some smart humor…
This is a short video with a humorous look at how man seems to think
he has all the answers!
Since the beginning of time, man has thought he was smart enough to know
everything about this world. Whether is was the shape of the earth or how
computers would affect our lives, man always develops a theory….
We just seem to be consistently wrong.
“See a man wise in his own eyes?
there is more hope for a fool than of him.”
– Proverbs 26:12
So it is one thing to get caught up in an April Fool’s Day joke -
But if we don’t want to live the life of a fool, then we need to
keep our focus grounded in the Word of God…
“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting;
and His truth endures to all generations.”
– Psalm 100:5
I trust in Your Word and keep the Word of Truth in my mouth. (Psalm 119:42-43)
“Your Word is Truth.”
– John 17:17
Here is a quote from Winston Churchill:
“Let men of science and learning expound their knowledge and prize and probe with their researches every detail of the records which have been preserved to us from those dim ages. All they will do is fortify the grand simplicity and essential accuracy of the recorded truths which have lighted so far the pilgrimage of men.”
“Through Your precepts I get understanding…
Your Word is a light unto my path.”
– Psalm 119:104-105

What Is God’s Will? Skit Guys Video
A Look at Knowing God’s Will for Your Life
Enjoy some humor with this video by the Skit Guys. Be sure to hear what he says in the beginning of the video: God’s plan and will for our lives will NOT contradict God’s Word (which is His will).
So yes, there are lots of obvious things in God’s Word that are His will for everyone. God also gives us unique gifts, talents, and desires. We all have a purpose in His kingdom. When we put into motion, in life, those things we are passionate about and follow our heart – this helps move us into the center of God’s will.
For some Christians, God’s will for their life is very clear from an early age. For others, it is a constant step-by-step process that seems to be revealed with each step and act of obedience to God’s truths.
Again though, our heart and our passions will help guide us into the center of God’s will, but they need to be in line with God’s Word and not contradict it.
“I pray for you and desire that you might be filled with the
knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing,
being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power,
to all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Giving thanks to the Father, which has made us
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
Who has delivered us from the power of darkness,
and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through His blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of every creature:
For by Him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by Him, and for Him:
and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.”
– Colossians 1:9-17
God bless you -
Cheers,
Brenda
