How Can Christian Meditation Guide You Into the Secret Place of the Most High God?

How Can Christian Meditation Guide You Into the Secret Place of the Most High God?

Abundant Power is Available when You Meditate on the Living Word of God!

Christian Meditation on the Most High GodChristian meditation is based on a desire…

to commune with,

to have relationship with, and

to be united in love with God.

Have you ever wondered how some believers manage to dwell in the presence of, in that secret place of, the most High God?

Meditation on God’s Word turns our minds away from the everyday affairs of life and toward Him. Blessed are those who discover and tap into the abundant divine power available in the living Word of God!

Our Place By The Father

There is a place by the Father God for every believer. We need to find our place and live in it. The Word of God tells us who we are, where our place is, and how to live in it. In the presence of God we can be shaped and transformed into His image.

“He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1

Through meditation in God’s Word we are able to dwell in the secret place of the most High God.

Christian meditation is at the heart of the Gospel and should also be for every believer. We were created for relationship and love, not only with each other but supremely with God.  As believers we are one with the Lord, just as Jesus said “I and the Father are one.” (John 17:21-23)

“That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in Me, and I in You,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe
that You have sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me
I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one;
and that the world may know that You have sent Me,
and have loved them, as You have loved Me.”
— John 17: 21-23

A Spiritual Connection to God

Christian meditation is way of experiencing God beyond what the mind can grasp. Meditation allows the nourishing richness and revelation of God’s love to flow into the deep places of our heart.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10

Meditation provides a way to connect into the heart of God’s love and acceptance. It is our spiritual connection to the One who is our heart’s true home. When we meditate on the Word of God, we are able to step into the blessings He has provided for us and experience spiritual refreshment and intimacy with Him.

In meditation, our relationship with God deepens.  And as we rest in our relationship, He works His love in our heart, drawing us deeper and closer to Him. As His light shines on us, we become more and more the person we were created to be.

It is no secret: Christian meditation on the Word of God strengthens our relationship with Him and has the power to transform our lives. Begin meditating on God’s Word today, and start strengthening your relationship with Him.

Are you ready to move yourself into the secret place of the most High God through Christian Meditation?

God bless you always,
Brenda

Christian Meditations – What Does Prayer Have to Do With Christian Meditation?

Christian Meditations – What Does Prayer Have to Do With Christian Meditation?

How do Prayer and Meditation Relate to Each Other?

Christian Prayer and MeditationChristian meditation is time devoted to being in the presence of God and consuming God’s Word.

There are many forms of meditation and prayer is one of them.

In general, meditation on God’s Word primarily involves hearing from God and prayer is primarily about speaking to God.

Prayer is often defined as spiritual communion with God.

“Prayer is the most important tool for your mission in the world. People may refuse our love and message, but they are defenseless against our prayers.”
— Dr. Rick Warren

God’s desire is to have close fellowship with us, His children. And like all relationships that involves a commitment of time and two-way communication.

In His Presence Through Christian Prayer and Meditation

From the earliest of days, prayer has been an essential part of meditation for Christians. Those who practice a deep, contemplative form of prayer often speak of it as a sense of “being one with the Lord” or being consumed in God’s love. But they don’t necessarily think of it in terms of meditation.

We see in the scripture that the psalmist used meditation as an approach to God and prayed that the meditation of his heart be sweet (104:34) and acceptable to God (19:14). His meditation also led him to a deeper and greater understanding of God’s Word (Psalm 49:3).

Christians sometimes think of meditation as quiet prayer, a prayer without petition, since the Lord already knows our needs. (Matthew 6:8) This might involve prayer that includes biblical confession of God’s Word. Praying God’s Word is praying His will.

Spiritual Discipline of Christian Prayer and Meditation Taps Into the Supernatural of God

The practice of praying God’s Word is at the same time meditating His Word. The spiritual and physical discipline needed for regular prayer and meditation will soon become almost effortless with daily practice.

Eventually we notice a life of living deliberately in the presence of God always; throughout the waking day.

“What blessed excitements those have who are much alone with Christ!… Such a man never has a cold heart or a slack hand who is much in meditation with his Lord Jesus.”
— Charles H. Spurgeon

As we tap into the realm of the supernatural God provides, through prayer and meditation, we live a victorious life because we are connected to the life force and power of God.

Do yourself a favor: Be the success God created you to be. How? By daily staying consumed and tapped into His presence, power, and love through prayer and meditation in the Word of God!

God bless you always,

The Greatness of Our God – Hillsong Live Christian Music Video

“The Greatness of Our God” Live by Hillsong

“Give me eyes to see more of who You are,
Make what I behold still my anxious heart,
Take what I have known and break it all apart,
For You my God, are Greater Still!

…I spent my life to know, and I’m far from close –
to knowing all You are, the Greatness of Our God!

Give me grace to see beyond this moment here,
to believe that there is nothing left to fear,
and that You alone are high above it all,
for You my God are Greater still!

…there is nothing that could ever separate us…
no words can say, no song convey –
the Greatness of Our God!”

“I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name for ever and ever.
Every day will I bless You; and I will praise Your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare
Your mighty acts.
I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wonderous works… And I will declare Your greatness.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness,
and shall sing of Your righteousness.
The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy…
The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.
The Lord is near unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth…
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.”
— Psalm 145: 1-8,17-18,21

God bless you,

Casting Crowns – East To West (Live) Christian Music Video

“East To West” (Live) by Casting Crowns

“… I know You’ve cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
and I stand before You now as though I’ve never sinned –

But today I feel like I’m just one mistake away
from You leaving me this way –

Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west?
‘Cause I can’t bear to see the man I’ve been
rising up in me again –

In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
You know just how far the east is from the west
from one scarred hand to the other…

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
— Psalm 103:12

Enjoy this music video and praise God for His mercy!

God bless you always,

Happy July 4th! Celebrating Freedom

Happy July 4th! Celebrating Freedom

Celebrating the 4th of July!

Independence Day in America is a time of celebration of freedom, both spiritual and physical.

May you all have a safe and happy day!

And special thanks and prayers go out to all those who have served and are serving in the military on our behalf; that we may continue to enjoy freedom.

Thank God for all His blessings!

John Adams
2nd U.S. President and Signer of the Declaration of Independence

“Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God … What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be.”
–Diary and Autobiography of John Adams, Vol. III, p. 9.

“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”
–Adams wrote this on June 28, 1813, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson.

“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out Your precepts.”
— Psalm 119:45

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
— John 8:36

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
— Galatians 5:1

“In Him [Christ] and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
— Ephesians 3:12

1861 (July 4), Senate Prayer:

“Almighty and everlasting God, be not angry with us for our sins, which we only confess and deplore; but pardon our offenses and extend to us Thy favor. We thank Thee for Thy goodness on this anniversary of the nation a day tenfold more precious by reason of our present troubles, and sacred to the heart for the ever memorable Declaration of our fathers, in which Thou didst begin more openly to give us a name among the nations of the earth. We thank Thee for all Thy manifold and abundant mercies hitherto to make our nation exceedingly great and glorious; but now disasters have befallen us and darkness broods in the land. And now we ask Thy mercy as the Senate is convening at a most momentous crisis of our history. Give to Thy servants all needed help. Add to their deliberations wisdom and unanimity, and profit and speed to their conclusion. Bless Thy servant, the President of the United States, our veteran Commander-in- Chief, and all that have functions in the civil and military power. May the angel of Thy presence walk in the Cabinet and in the Congress and in the camp, to go before, to purify, and to direct the now greatly and universally-awakened love of country. And we beseech Thee to guide us, to overrule and order all things, and so to cause that nothing shall fail, that the disorders of the land may be speedily healed, that peace and concord may prevail, that truth and righteousness may be established, and that Thy Church and Kingdom may flourish in a larger peace and prosperity, for Thy Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.”
— Rev. Byron Sunderland, D.D.

Happy 4th of July!

God bless you always –

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

The Power of Prayer in Your Hour of Need!

Powerful help is available when we cry out to God in our days of trouble.

Over and over, throughout history and in the Bible, we see God’s active involvement triggered by the cry of His people.

Moments of immediate, fearful need, hours of crisis, and days of trouble come to us all eventually. And they too often seem to show up unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

The Power of Crying Out to God in Your Storms of Life

Have you ever found yourself in similar storms of life, or do you find yourself in a trial today? Then stop what you are doing right now and cry aloud to the Almighty God in your trouble.

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
— Psalm 50:15

God is expecting us to call upon Him. So we should be ready to cry out loud to the Lord for His saving help; as soon as a need arises. God says He will deliver us, so we should boldly expect His deliverance. And the great thing is; we then have one more reason to glorify Him.

Humility Required to Cry Aloud to God in Your Distress

God makes it clear and simple that He wants us to cry out to Him, that He will deliver us, and third that we are to glorify Him for it.

Are you one that prefers to be an independent, self-sufficient type? Would you rather suffer through the storm without asking for help, and then with pride say ‘Look what I did?’

Crying out to God allows us to recognize our weakness and at the same time experience His strength.

“For when I am weak, then am I strong.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:10

Keep in mind it takes a lot of humility to cry out loud to God in our desperate moments. But that is what He tells us to do, regardless of our thoughts about the situation. God wants us to clearly see in the end that He is our deliverer and that He deserves the thanks. We should glorify Him by saying ‘Look what God did!’

A Desperate Cry to Calm the Storm in Your Life

Consider Jesus’ disciples during the storm on the Sea of Galilee. They were feeling overwhelmed by trouble during this terrible storm and the boat was filling up with water. The disciples were in a panic and overwhelmed; worried they were going to drown. And even though Jesus was in the boat with them, He somehow remained sound asleep.

As the disciples reached total desperation, they cried out loud to Jesus saying ‘Lord, save us!’ It wasn’t until they cried out to Jesus in desperation that He took action and calmed the storm in their lives.

The simple fact of the matter is this: God is totally serious about hearing from those who cry out to Him in their day of trouble. Know this and believe it. God delights in showing Himself strong on behalf of anyone who is facing a desperate situation and will cry out for His deliverance.

May you use the power of crying out to the Lord in your day of trouble and be delivered into a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda

Growing Prosperity – 5 Prayers to Help Manifest the Abundance of God in Your Life!

Growing Prosperity – 5 Prayers to Help Manifest the Abundance of God in Your Life!

Praying the Word of God Over Your Situation

Growing prosperity comes from God the Great Giver.

He loves to bless His children…

From the earliest of days, God has been searching for individuals who have their hearts toward Him; on whom He can pour out His blessings.

Unfortunately, whenever He has poured out prosperity, the people have quickly forgotten who made them prosper. The tendency is for them to begin seeking the gift and not the Giver.

These scriptural prayers for prosperity are based on the spirit of seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and then enjoying the manifestation of His generous abundance.

Each of our desires, pertaining to wealth and prosperity, cannot be to consume the abundance of God on ourselves, but to understand, just like Abraham did, that all of us are blessed so that we can be a blessing.

5 Scriptural Prayers for Prosperity

1) Angels on Assignment

Thank You, Father, that as I speak Your Word over my finances today, Your angelic warriors are hearkening to the sound of my voice to perform that which I speak. (Psalm 103:20)

2) Prosperity Now

I thank You, Heavenly Father, for this day You have made and I rejoice in it. You are sending me prosperity now and giving me success. (Psalm 118:24-25)

3) Taught to Profit

Thank You, Lord God, that You are teaching me to profit. You are leading me by the way that I should go. Therefore, I declare that because I hearken to Your commandments, my peace and prosperity are like a flowing river. (Isaiah 48:17-18)

4) Reap Bountifully

Father, I confess that because I have sown bountifully in order to bless others, I also reap bountifully with blessings. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

5) Prospering In All I Do

Father God, I declare that because I keep Your charge, walk in Your ways, and obey Your voice, I am prospering in all that I do and wherever I turn. (I Kings 2:3)

So, go ahead; begin praying these prosperity prayers daily. They are meant to help you get started learning how to pray the Word in the area of provision, and help you plant the Word of God into your heart.

Keep in mind: The more the Word of God is planted within us, the more spontaneous our prayers will become. Once you begin regularly praying the Word, you will find that as you are reading the Word, many other scriptures will begin to “come alive” for the purpose of prayer. Get ready now to have the abundance of God manifest in your life.

May you seek first the kingdom of God and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Growing Prosperity – How Can the Power of Patience Help You Prosper?

Growing Prosperity – How Can the Power of Patience Help You Prosper?

The Power of Patience in an “I Want It Now” World!

Growing prosperity and a look at the power of patience…

for a society that wants to pick-up their prosperity –

like a drive thru meal.

Can anybody argue with the fact that:

we are now living in a microwave culture?

We now have all sorts of things from…

fast food, spray on tans, instant text messaging around the world…

to drive-thru marriage ceremonies.

The “I Want It Now” Prosperity

Most people are in a hurry to receive whatever it is they desire to have, and almost everyone wants it right now!

Unfortunately, the microwave attitude continues to play a part in much more significant issues in our life. We often approach God and ask him to get involved in a situation only because we want to do everything within our ability to get the answer we want, and that we want right now!

We expect to have God answer each of our prayers by the speed of a microwave dinner, otherwise we start taking matters into our own hands.

The thing is, those that have genuine faith will not be hindered by circumstances or even the passing of time. They will be steadfast, immoveable, unshakeable, habitual, and in addition, just won’t give up until they receive the manifestation of their God breathed prayer.

“Wait patiently for the Lord, be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
— Psalm 27:14

Patience to Prosper is Not the Norm

Patiently waiting is a principle to live by. Society will attempt to persuade people that to become a mover and a shaker these days they must win at any cost and also neglect others in their effort to be successful. On the contrary God does not intend we do any harm to others on our individual journey down the path towards prosperity.

God desires our heart to be dedicated to His way, His will, His instruction, His right timing. Many times that may require patiently waiting.

Of course, the things we do when we are patiently waiting are going to make a huge difference. The truth is: a lot of believers regard patiently waiting as wasted time. These people may truly want to see the Lord’s will be accomplished in their life; however they already have been trained to believe that God needs them to physically assist Him out, all of the time.

Patience that Places You in Position to Prosper

Bear in mind, people who wait patiently on the Lord place themselves in position to prosper. Take a look at these verses, and then be aware, the word ‘wait’ means to be available, to be ready, to expect, look, or wait patiently for:

  • “Those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” (Psalm 37:9)
  • “Blessed are those who wait for His help.” (Isaiah 30:18)
  • “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him.” (Lamentations 3:25)

You will discover seasons in your life when God desires that you seek His presence and not seek Him just for his provision. In this fast paced world it is easy to get our priorities out of order.

Start patiently waiting on the Lord. Seek Him in prayer. Expect to see His promises fulfilled. Wait patiently for Him to set you up for future blessings. Worship Him. Many Christians will say this is time just wasted sitting around. But no!

Truth is: Patiently waiting on God requires faith, prayer, courage, and bravery. It takes a completely surrendered heart that trusts God, and believes His perfect timing is better than ours and will put us in the position to prosper.

May your patience increase as you wait on the Lord and position yourself for growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda
