10 New Year Resolutions to Renew Your Spirit!

10 New Year Resolutions to Renew Your Spirit!

Simple Resolutions to Enrich & Revitalize Your Life

Spiritual New Year ResolutionsThe New Year is just beginning.

Why not make this year’s resolutions ones that

will enrich and revitalize your life?

If you find there are a million things you intend to do,

but somehow you forget, procrastinate, or

just plain run out of time, I know how you feel.

Sometimes the simplest things are…

the hardest to accomplish.

When you evaluate your to-do list and priorities

this new year, move the things that enrich your life to the top of the list.

Clear out what you can when it comes to those things that drain you, and make simple resolutions that will renew your spirit. Even though they may be difficult to commit to at times, the results will definitely be worth the effort.

10 Simple New Year Resolutions to Revitalize Your Life
(You’ve probably already heard them a thousand times, but they still work.)

1. Read the Bible cover-to-cover this year. Keep a helpful Bible study resource handy to get you through those difficult reading points that may cause you to lose heart.

2. Volunteer your time and talents. Reach out to others through service in community and church based organizations. Be a blessing to your neighbors by serving them in some way.

3. Heal broken relationships. Forgive those whom you need to forgive. Don’t allow unforgiveness to hold you back any longer. Forgive and allow peace to rule.

4. Read a classic book. Enrich your life through some of the classics that you may have yet to experience such as C.S. Lewis, A.W. Tozer, Jane Austen, Shakespeare, etc… And don’t let reading be your excuse now that so many books are available on audio.

5. Make a monthly date night with your spouse. For those of you who are married, dedicate at least one day a month for a special date time with your spouse. Take a day to give your spouse the intimate attentions he or she deserves and enrich your marriage.

6. Pray daily. Bring your thoughts, praises, concerns, and requests to God every morning (at least). Stop trying to live life all by yourself. Talk to God and He will listen attentively and respond specifically.

7. Take a vacation. To many people never take vacations, but a time of refreshing is very important. Even God rested on the seventh day!

8. Renew relationships. Contact a friend or relative you haven’t heard from in a long time. Relationships are important to God and they should be important to us.

9. Visit a museum. Why not? There is a museum for just about everything. Revitalize your life by sparking a long-forgotten interest.

10. Share the Gospel. It is what we are here on earth to do. Make it a priority this year to share the Good News and show your concern for the spiritual welfare of those you come in contact with.

The New Year is a gift from God and a fresh start.

May you start strong, revitalize your life and experience growing prosperity!

Aim higher –

Cheers,

Vision – Why Let a Lack of it Prevent You from Living the Abundant Life of Your Dreams?

Vision – Why Let a Lack of it Prevent You from Living the Abundant Life of Your Dreams?

How to Catch the Vision and Run with it into Your Dream Life!

Vision Your Abundant Dream LifeVision looks forward into the future.

It takes vision if you want to move from…

your present standard of living to –

living your abundant dream life.

A continual focus on…

past problems and defeats,

will only result in fearful paralysis;

and that takes you nowhere.

Where’s Your Focus?

As of today, choose to stop looking at all the things that can go wrong, and instead turn your eyes toward your strengths and assets. Put your focus on what must go right to reach your goals and dreams. Wake up in the morning and go to bed at night, thinking only of ways to do the things you want to do. Do not allow yourself to waste time thinking of all the reasons why you cannot do something.

Kick-start your vision and think repeatedly of the many achievements you are going to accomplish in the future; which will be greater than anything you have ever done in the past. Once you get your focus in the right direction, you’ll find yourself forced to draw upon resources that you previously didn’t even realize you had.

Will You Take the Risk?

Clearly, change is going to involve some risk-taking on your part. But believe me, once you dare to act on your vision and reach toward your dreams, it won’t be long before you start winning in a big way.

Doing things you’ve never done before may prove to be frightening at first. Just keep in mind: Anyone who achieves anything of greatness in their life first takes some kind of risk. Others may not be able to catch the same vision that you have and you’ll find it takes a measure of risk to follow your vision through to your dreams.

Vision of a Dream Life

What is your dream? What vision or picture of a great thing or accomplishment floats to the surface of your consciousness from time to time?

Begin to make your dream a reality by writing it down with as much detail as possible. Write it in the present tense and see yourself as already living it.

“Write the vision, and make it plain, that he may run that reads it.”
— Habakkuk 2:2

Remember, it makes no difference whether your dream is to start a new business, buy a house, get married, graduate with honors, get a new position at work, or any other goal be it big or small. Whatever it may be, you must step out and boldly go after it.

Sure, there will be times along the way that you miss the mark, but that does not make you a failure. Sometimes plans don’t work out as anticipated, but you still have the capacity to bounce back and try again.

What’s stopping you from walking out your vision into your dream life? Continually remind yourself that you have tremendous reservoirs of potential within you and with God’s help you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to do. All you have to do is decide to do it and know you can. Do not doubt whether or not you can. Simply get it settled that you can and make up your mind this very moment to run with your vision into your dream life.

May you dare to run with your vision and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you always –

Soar higher,

New Year New Focus – The Crowd or The Cross?

New Year New Focus – The Crowd or The Cross?

Renewed Focus on The CROSS!

(The Crowd or the Cross Video by IgniterMedia)

As the new year is almost here, I encourage you to get a fresh focus on the Cross!

This a great time to remind ourselves of what God has done for us. The vision He gave us – our calling – and our purpose. This is big in God’s eyes and so we need to keep it the focus of our eyes and not get distracted…

REFUSE To Be CONFUSED

The enemy came to confuse and distract. He is doing everything in his power to throw us off course. He wants to get our focus off the Word and off our faith in God. He wants to get our eyes on the crowd and off the cross.

Distractions will try to steal our energy, joy, and faith – DO NOT let them.

Determine this year there is nothing the enemy can do to throw you off course. Determine to renew your focus on the Cross.

If you are saying, “but I’m not even sure what my purpose and calling is?”  Then just another reason to get into the Word.

This year should be about about living the life God means for us to live. And we discover that in His Word… and the more often we approach His throne and get in His presence the clearer the specific purpose and vision for our lives becomes.

STAY FOCUSED On The CROSS

We need to stay focused on the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) It is in His Word and His presence that we find strength, blessing, peace, and direction to stay on course. Wisdom, inspiration, and the right answers for every situation come from Him.

Let’s not let the distractions of the crowd become an attraction. People are people. God is God. Eliminate confusion by staying focused on the promises of God.

You know, God is always willing to do His part. It is our faith in Him that allows us to live in His fullness and have abundant prosperous lives. Our part requires focusing on and confessing the Word and realizing the Word works!

POWER To FINISH

Remember, the very same Jesus who God anointed and raised from the dead, lives in every believer. That means we have power! Jesus sacrifice on the cross gives every believer the right to boldy approach the throne of God for help in time of need.

Don’t bend to the pressures of the crowd and the pressures of time. What God said will come to pass – will come to pass. Get to the point of believing the unbelievable and receiving what seems impossible.

What’s stopping you from experiencing God’s goodness this year… and being a light that shines bright and glorifies Him!

May we stay focused on the Cross and have the mind of Christ!

God bless you…

And Have a Safe, Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!

Cheers,
Brenda

P.S. So what steps are you planning to take to get your focus on this year?

God Given Empowerment – Use it to Get Your Focus on Once and for All!

God Given Empowerment – Use it to Get Your Focus on Once and for All!

Discover How to Get Your Life’s Vision in Focus with God’s Help

God Empowerment for FocusEmpowerment starts with you,

but comes from God …

What is your level of empowerment?

Is your life’s vision currently in focus?

Or do you run around day to day feeling very busy, …

yet lost and going nowhere?

Get empowered starting today. Wait on the Lord. Then write the vision down and make it plain so that you can run with it. (Habakkuk 2)

Focus on the Vision of Your Desired Life

What are you passionate about? Where do you see yourself in the future? Seek God for guidance on this. We are told to acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will direct our paths. (Proverbs 3:6) God knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper, so call on Him and seek His help.

Make a Plan of Action

If your goals and visions do not clash or go counter to the Word of God, then make a plan. Come up with steps you can take to make your vision a reality and write them down. Read them and speak them aloud daily and begin at least taking baby steps.

Next week is going to come whether you do something different or don’t do something different. Real deep thought, huh?  NOT, but it needs to be said and you need to hear it.

Wake Up – Life is Happening

It is up to you to change your direction. If you want something different, if you have a vision or even a partial vision, take time to zoom in on it and get it in focus.

This is your life and you only have ONE SHOT – don’t waste it!  Do something meaningful with it. If not for you, then for others, but ultimately for God. God did not create you and put you here in this age for nothing. You have a purpose and a part to play just like we all do.

Everyone is valuable and it is vital to society that you function the best you can in your God given abilities. My pastor often references the body of Christ to our human body. It does not matter if you are an ear drum, an eye, a big toe, or a heart. Every part is important and vital to the whole body in its purpose for all things to function at its best.

Life is a Journey and a Growing Process

Don’t be afraid to mess up. Remember all things work together for good to those who love the Lord. (Romans 8:28) Continue to pray and seek God daily for guidance to adjust and direct your steps on the way. Taking baby steps will empower you greatly and soon you’ll be an off and running success.

The simple fact of the matter is this: Tomorrow, next month, and next year is going to come even if you don’t change a thing. But I wonder? What if you purpose to change a few things and get God working with you? What might your next week, next month, or next year look like?

Why not get busy and find out?  What are you still doing here?!  Go now, and start making things happen in life by tapping into your God given empowerment.

May you continue to experience a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you,
Brenda

A Prosperous Future Is In Your Vision – Not In Your Past

A Prosperous Future Is In Your Vision – Not In Your Past

A Prosperous Future Requires Looking Ahead

But here’s the problem you and I face. Our focus on the past chokes off the dream within us.

We must look at where we’re going with a dream of unlimited possibilities. Don’t vision the future by the past. The past should just be a learning curve. You can’t move forward very fast if you spend most of your time looking back.

At graduation time, when many young people have a bright future in front of them, they can at the same time be frightened of an unknown future. When facing your future and any difficult tasks, act as if it is impossible to fail. Be bold and courageous. The future only frightens those who want to live in the past.

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat.”
— Theodore Roosevelt

Your future contains more abundance of happiness, love, success, and opportunities than any past you can remember. As a Christian, God doesn’t look at your past to decide your future. We are told in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”  So don’t let any past failures hold you back.

Here is a great analogy my pastor shared of driving a car. In a car the front window is lLook Ahead for a Prosperous Futurearge, so that we can clearly see where we are going, and reach our destination safely. However, the car also includes a rear view mirror. This mirror is small to allow an occasional glance back of what is behind to help us as we move forward. Obviously if we spend too much time looking back while driving, we aren’t going to have the greatest success in reaching our destination. Can you say crash, boom, bang?

That’s the primary reason why you have to look to the future believing and expecting great things in order to have a prosperous life. No one backs into prosperity. Remember, nothing is impossible with God. Don’t be afraid to take a chance and attempt great things.

The bottom line is that you have a prosperous future ahead of you, so look ahead. Learn to believe in yourself and have God on your side. Acknowledge God and He will direct your paths. His beautiful plan made just for you will unfold before your very eyes. Know when God is in your plans, they will prosper

May your future be a never ending journey of growing prosperity!

God bless you – cheers,
Brenda
