How Can Christian Meditation and Positive Biblical Affirmations Adjust My Attitude?

Get a Spirit Lift for a Brighter Outlook on Life!

Biblical Meditation AffirmationChristian Meditation and

Biblical Affirmations

allow the Spirit of God to stir us up

and make us happy.

There is power in God’s Word to

renew our mind and replace negative

thoughts with positive life filled thoughts.

If we find ourselves dwelling on the same discouraging,

depressing, stressful, worrisome thoughts, then we need to put a stop to it.

How? By replacing negative thoughts with truths from the Word of God.

Replace Negative Thoughts with Positive Truths

You see, meditation on scripture gives us understanding of how God sees us and our future. In His scriptures we find words of hope, joy, peace, and encouragement.

“My meditation of Him shall be sweet and I will be glad in the Lord.”
— Psalm 104:34

We can help make the truths of God’s Word become a part of our mental dialogue by listening to Christian Meditation CDs or Biblical Affirmation CDs during our morning routine, at the office, in the car, while doing chores, and when falling asleep. Then when negative thoughts try to surface, our mind will be prepared and ready to affirm God’s Word instead.

The great thing about affirmations is that it is like planting positive seeds of change. Our minds are able to focus on the new positive thoughts, which will eventually grow to replace the old negative ones.

Biblical affirmations are scriptures that are stated in a positive, first person, present tense form. It is important to make them positive, because the things we hear repeatedly get deposited into our subconscious. And our subconscious takes in everything as if it is real.

Biblical Affirmation Example

Let’s look at an example of a positive biblical affirmation…

Have you ever had a time of struggling with fear? Well, we know that God says, He has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) The truth of God’s Word is that fear is not of Him. What is of God is power, love and a sound mind.

In this example we would not want to affirm ‘I am not afraid’, or ‘I do not fear’. Why? Because our subconscious is going to hear us confessing fear.

So what should the affirmation be? Make the affirmation: ‘God has given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.’

Begin now to fill your mind with this affirmation and your fears will begin to fade. The instant you become fearful, start confessing this affirmation and put a stop to the fearful thoughts instantly.

The success in using affirmations is repetition and speaking them out loud. You must listen to or read affirmations over and over until they begin to take root and grow.

So there you have it: Make Christian meditation and biblical affirmations a daily habit. Maintain a positive attitude and a bright outlook on life with the life transforming power of God’s Word. It is His desire that all believers tap into it as they grow nearer to Him.

Why not begin meditating and affirming the powerful Word of God in your life today?

God bless you always,
Brenda

Time Management – Overcome the Pressure of Time and Invest It Wisely!

Time Management – Overcome the Pressure of Time and Invest It Wisely!

You Can Overcome the Pressure of Time

Time Management Overcome the Pressure of TimeTime management is an important life skill.

Time is precious; we never seem to have enough of it.

More than that, we tend to be overcome with

the pressure of time, as we continually find

our “to do” list filled with too many tasks and

not enough time to finish them.

Sound familiar?

Well, why not choose to overcome the pressure of time,

rather than let it overwhelm you?

You can manage your time and take control of your life.

“Make the most of every opportunity.”
— Colossians 4:5 NIV

Time is a Gift – Do You Use It Wisely?

Time is one of the valuable gifts God has given us. And even though we may be aware that each day is a gift, none of us know how much of it we have left to use on this earth.

We are encouraged to use our time wisely in Psalm 90 verse 12: “So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”

The question is: What are you doing with your days?

Time Wasted or Time Invested?

When analyzing how we manage our time, we will most likely find that much of it is spent on “time wasters.” “Time wasters” are those things that soak up our time and distract us from accomplishing our goals.

Games, TV, Facebook, email, phone calls, and surfing the web are all common “time wasters” these days. And if you are procrastinating tackling your “to do” list, these distractions can easily take up way too much of the day.

The next thing we’ll probably notice is that a lot of our time is spent on the daily maintenance tasks of life. Not the most exciting activities to do, but yet necessary.

Keep in mind: without a vision of the future, we can easily get caught up in doing things today that lack lasting investment.

One of the most important principles, in our walk with God here on earth, is that time and activities spent for His kingdom have eternal value. Investing the time God has given us in kingdom work is not only satisfying, but will see everlasting rewards.

Time Management Tips

Managing your time gives you power. Disciplining yourself to improve this skill will reap life-long benefits.

The following time management tips will help you get started:

  • Make a “to do” list of the things you need to accomplish.
  • Prioritize the list and put a “P” in front of the main three to four priority items that need to be accomplished for the day.
  • Focus the first part of your day accomplishing the priority items.
  • Refuse to be distracted by “time wasters.” Remove distractions as much as possible in order to complete the priority items.
  • Motivate yourself to complete the priority items first by considering how great you’ll feel once you have accomplished them.
  • Schedule time for leisure activities and remind yourself they will be a reward to look forward to once you have completed your priority tasks.
  • Ask God to help you throughout the day.

Word of warning: don’t let the seemingly endless “to do” list cloud your vision and make everything seem like a chore, especially when it comes to relationships. Time spent in relationships is a valuable investment. This is no less true when it comes to spending time with the Lord.

The truth is, we don’t have to perform for God when we spend time with Him. It should not be a chore. He wants us to be still and to know that He is God. Spending time in His presence will result in joy. Regardless of how busy our lives become, we must guard our time with Him.

Are you starting to see the light? Time is a precious gift to be valued. How we invest our lives demonstrates where our heart is and reveals what is most important to us. Overcome the pressure of time by learning to manage it and invest it wisely.

May you invest your time wisely and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Achievement: Why Live with Regrets When You Can Live to Succeed?

Achievement: Why Live with Regrets When You Can Live to Succeed?

Achieve Success With No Regrets!

Achieve Success With No Regrets!Achievement is connected to our

personal growth and that is a lifelong

learning process of ups and downs.

Do you let setbacks, failed ventures, or

wrong choices weigh you down with regrets?

Refuse to let your life fill up with regrets.

Why? Because living in a state of regret will hinder your personal growth and ability to achieve success.

The Pain Of Regret

Regret is a feeling or sense of sorrow or remorse over a past choice. Regret is like a first cousin to condemnation. They both leave us feeling guilty, defective, and unhappy.

In the short term, this can actually be a positive thing…

  • It is like a wake-up call to show us how our life got off course.
  • It makes us take a look at the choices we have been making in life.
  • It makes us realize we can’t live this life on our own and it is important to cry out to the Lord for help.

“The godly cry out and the Lord hears; He saves them from all their troubles.”
— Psalm 34:17

We can, and should, learn from our mistakes and successes on our journey of life. And no doubt, living with regret and condemnation is a negative, low confidence, unhealthy state to be in. It keeps us stuck and unable to move forward.

“The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.”
— Psalm 34:22

Remember: we have been blessed with the gift of life and a purpose for our time here on this earth. Why live in a way that causes constant regrets, and even worse, regrets we may have once we are in heaven and look back on how we lived our lives?

Success Is Full Of Challenges

The road to success is full of challenges and struggles. Achievement in any degree requires work, and often an outright battle. The storms of life can blow through and make it a fight just to survive at times, let alone stay on track pursuing our goals and desires.

“A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.”
— Psalm 34:19

If you look back in history, the greatest, most successful individuals had to invest a lot of effort in order to successfully achieve their goals. They had to push through their challenges with much determination. So we shouldn’t be surprised at the labor involved in achieving our goals.

Live With Purpose to Succeed

Live with no regrets by choosing to fight through the battles that come your way. Don’t quit. Run the race to finish – run the race to win.

“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…looking unto Jesus.”
— Hebrews 12:1-2

Take a moment to feel the pain of past regrets. No doubt you prefer to avoid those feelings of remorse, caused from not having done something you should have, or for making poor choices.

Today is the day to say no more regrets. Do not be afraid to step out and give the thing you know you should be doing a try. Do everything in your power to achieve it. Don’t give up at the first hurdle in your way. Learn to move beyond your mistakes. We all make them.

And remember always: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 1:8)

Purpose to make positive choices in life and avoid future regrets. Leave the past in the past and move forward with no regrets.

Put this to the test right away: Maintain the mindset that you will always do your best to achieve whatever task is at hand. Strive to be the best person you can possibly be. Live life with no regrets – live to succeed.

May you choose to always do your best, live an amazing, successful life with no regrets, full of growing prosperity!

Soar higher in Him –

Cheers,

Abundant Attitude – Think Like a Prosperous Winner and Stop Whining!

Abundant Attitude – Think Like a Prosperous Winner and Stop Whining!

Think Abundance – Attract Abundance

Abundant Attitude and Prosperous ThoughtsAbundance is all around us in many ways.

The abundance of God is a never ending supply and flow.

In order to see and tap into this supply requires

an abundant attitude.

God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all

that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20)

A Prosperous Winner or a Poor Whiner?

There is so much whining and complaining going on these days. I’m sure today alone you’ve heard someone complain about school, family, friends, work, the boss, lack of money, traffic, waiting in line, and more.

What happened to a little gratitude and appreciation? Where is the thankfulness for all the abundant blessing in our lives?

For those whining about their boss and job, there are many who would be more than thankful to have a job with even the worst boss. For all those complainers, there are many people in worse situations that would gladly trade places with them.

Choose not to worry, whine, and complain about life’s challenging circumstances. They only thing whining will accomplish is to attract more of the negative things you are whining about.

Put on an Abundant Attitude and Think Prosperous

The Word of God has the power to cause us to prosper, but we have to put it to work in our lives by meditating on it, speaking it, and doing it.

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

Keep your life in perspective and have an abundant attitude by giving God thanks for all that is going well and all you are blessed with. Think and focus on the positive and attract a greater flow of the abundance of God in your life.

When God’s Word and His principles are first place in our lives, our attitudes and thoughts will begin to line up with His, and we’ll act accordingly.

“Then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
— Joshua 1:8

Speak and confess success and the abundance of God flowing in your life. The power of His Word at work in our hearts will cause us to have thankful, grateful hearts; able to see the blessings all around us.

Is the abundance of God flowing in your life? God has created a system that will produce abundance in our lives. Blessings will come to those who operate in it; even when others experience lack. Choose to think prosperous and put on an abundant attitude!

May you have an abundant attitude and a life flowing with growing prosperity!

Be Blessed to Be a Blessing –

Spirituality – Should You Be Doing Some Clean Up In Your Spiritual Life?

Spirituality – Should You Be Doing Some Clean Up In Your Spiritual Life?

The Power of Making Your Spiritual Life Sparkle

Powerful Spiritual LifeSpiritual areas of life are often the

ones that get tended to last.

We get up every morning and look in

the mirror and begin our routine of showering,

brushing, and getting all prettied up.

Our homes, yards, cars, etcetera all get our attention

and cleaned up as needed; but, what about our spiritual home?

Too Busy To Clean?

Life gets busy. That’s no surprise. Soon our housecleaning gets moved to the bottom of the “to do” list until one day we can’t see through the dust on the TV screen. As we look around everything is dull and dirty and no longer beautiful to look at.

Amazingly, after a little time and effort scrubbing, things are sparkling clean and enjoyable once again.

How Did My Spiritual Life Get So Dirty?

Have you noticed how easily the dust and cobwebs seem to have a way of building up without really seeing it happen? Well in fact, our spiritual life gets dirty much the same way.

There are times we commit an obvious sin and it is like falling in a mud puddle; we are clearly dirty and need of some major clean-up. However, the sin in our daily lives is more often like the dust and cobwebs that slowly dirty our spiritual home, almost unnoticed.

In our busy lives we too easily get used to irritable thoughts, selfishness, jealousy, disrespect, lazy attitudes, lack of commitments, and more. Failure to spend daily time in God’s Word and fellowship with Him leads to doing things that displease Him, and at the same time we do not even realize the dirty film they are leaving on us.

Have you gotten too busy with other things in life that you’ve neglected to clean the dust and cobwebs from your spiritual home.

Time to Clean Up The Mess and Make Your Spiritual Life Sparkle!

The solution for the dust, dirt, and grime that comes into our lives, is to clean it up quickly and regularly. The longer we allow it to remain the greater the mess and the more difficult to remove. If neglected too long it results in unsightly stains.

Once the cleaning process has begun, it usually leads to a closer examination, which then tends to require more cleaning. So it is with a close examination of our spiritual life.

The sinful dirt that we have allowed to slowly accumulate in our lives, and have become accustomed to, is not okay with God. He is not accustomed to dirty sinful behaviors. God desires that our lives be pure and clean so that He can see the beautiful reflection of His Son in us.

“Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart…”
— Psalm 24:3-4

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
— Psalm 51:10

How can I improve my spiritual life? Be willing to ask yourself this question daily as you do a self-examination of your spiritual home. Ask God to help you see areas that need cleaned up. He not only wants to open your eyes, He wants to help you clean in order to see your natural and spiritual life shine and sparkle!

May your spiritual life be clean, pure and overflowing with growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda

Inspiration – How to Almost Guarantee Yourself a Great Day Every Day!

Inspiration – How to Almost Guarantee Yourself a Great Day Every Day!

Dramatically Improve Your Chances to Have a Great Day

How to Have a Great Day Every Day!Inspiration to make your day great;

you can just about guarantee yourself

a great day every day.

Sound impossible?

Well, it’s not.

The way in which we begin a day largely determines how the day is going to go.

5 Techniques to Inspire You and Dramatically Improve Your Chances for a Great Day:

1. Remind Yourself You Are NOT Alone

Discover for yourself, what a wonderful way it is to wake up each morning with the reminder you are not alone. When you return to a semi-conscious state after a night of sleep, and while still in bed, repeat Psalm 139:18.

“When I awake, I am still with you.”
— Psalm 139:18

What does it mean? All night long while sleeping, we have been under the watchful care of our Heavenly Father. But now the day has come with all its potential problems, responsibilities, disappointments, and struggles. So it helps to be reminded that when we are awake God remains with us.

The eight comforting words in the above verse emphasize one of the greatest truths known to man – that we are not alone. Take time to memorize this verse. Then jumpstart your day and fill your waking moments with this reminder.

2. Pray for Others and Yourself

Next, pray for your loved ones, friends, and other people you have promised to pray for. Also pray for God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection over yourself as you go about your day.

3. Acknowledge Today as a Gift

Then, before leaving your bedside, repeat this inspiring Bible passage.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
— Psalm 118:24

God made this precious, opportunity-filled day; He gives it to you as a gift. And, as time passes, each day becomes more precious (or at least it should).

Keep in mind: You and I are very responsive to the moods of nature. Consider how you feel if you open your eyes and it is raining, or snowing, or the sky is overcast and the wind is blowing? This can be enough to start our day off on the wrong foot.

However, we can overcome any mood of nature, or any negative mood of human nature, by filling our minds with the realization that there is this precious thing called a day.

4. Visualize and Anticipate a Great Day

As you arise, mentally picture the good day you want and expect, visualize it clearly, and strongly affirm that mental picture. Practicing such awakening techniques can change your whole approach to life and help you see the good in every day.

For many, the moment their eyes open on a new day their thoughts begin to focus on all the awful things that might happen; and that is usually what they get. Why? Because what we project in our mind as a probability, is likely to result in fact.

To change apprehension, gloomy thoughts, and depressive attitudes to anticipation, repeat Genesis 1:1 and Psalm 118:24 three times in the morning, and then say them to yourself during the day.

Let your confession and affirmation be something such as: ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and earth and today is the day that the Lord has made. No other day just like it was ever made. This is it! I will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you, Lord, for being with me this day. It’s going to be a great day!’

5. Let Go of the Past

Did it ever occur to you that yesterday ended last night? Every morning, you face a new beginning, so put the past behind you. Take the good memories you want to remember from the past along with you; as well as the lessons you’ve learned from your mistakes. But all the other things – leave them at the door of the new day.

One reason people have nervous breakdowns and are mentally sick is because they don’t shake themselves free of the past. Let it go!

Did you make mistakes last week? I did. What are we going to do about those mistakes? Start each day adventuring with God, and let the past be past. Do the best we can today with God’s help. Anticipate a great day, and it will be.

Do yourself a favor: Start putting these five techniques into practice. Habits and negative attitudes don’t change overnight. But if you can shift from apprehension to letting the thought of anticipation surge through your mind, your life will change and you’ll almost guarantee yourself a great day every day!

May your days be great and your life full of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Spiritual Prosperity – Walking Out God’s Good Plan For Your Life!

Spiritual Prosperity – Walking Out God’s Good Plan For Your Life!

Are You Following God One Step at a Time?

Walking Out God's Plan One Step at a TimeSpiritual prosperity is the result of

walking out God’s plan for your life.

In order to do this you need to allow the Lord

to direct your path one step at a time.

If I had known many years ago

what I was going to be doing today,

I would have said, “No way, God. That is impossible.”

But keep in mind, the Lord does not show us the whole picture of our life all at once, because we would quit before we got started. Instead, God leads us one step at a time.

“In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:6

Following God One Step at a Time

Have you wondered why you are not further along in the plan for your life?

Let me ask you a question: Are you following God one step at a time?

Consider how excited parents are when their children take their first steps. They start out by taking one step and falling down. The parents then pick them up and put them back on their feet; encouraging them to take another step.

Inspired by the words of encouragement, the children try again and take two or three steps this time, before falling down. The parents continue to repeatedly pick them up, encourage, and help them try again until they finally conquer the task of walking.

The fact is: An infant would never learn to walk if he did not start by taking that first step. And just as infants learn to walk by taking one step at a time, so it is with the plan of our life. God leads us one step at a time.

Maybe you have taken the first step in your plan and fallen down. You may still be lying on the ground, having decided to never take another step. However, keep in mind that just as a parent encourages their children to get up and try again, so the Heavenly Father is encouraging you to get up and take another step!

The Steps of a Good Man Are Ordered by the Lord

If you will delight in the Lord, He will order your steps; and they will be steps of success and not failure.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in his way.”
— Psalm 37:23

Keep in mind, when opportunity knocks, you must answer! And you must walk through that door with confidence, knowing you can do it with the help of the Lord.

Of course there will be various disappointments and difficult circumstances along the way. We all face them and that is to be expected. Just remember there is help and you are not facing anything alone.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
— Philippians 4:13

Allow this verse to help you have confidence in your ability, knowing you are not doing anything alone, but that it is Christ who strengthens you.

I think you get the point: You can make it through every circumstance of your life – regardless of what it is – if you will simply place your hand in God’s hand. He will direct your path and lead you to victory and spiritual prosperity; one step at a time.

May you walk out God’s good plan one step at a time and experience His growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,

Christian Meditation For Mind Control – Who Is In Charge Of Your Thoughts Anyway?

Christian Meditation For Mind Control – Who Is In Charge Of Your Thoughts Anyway?

Why Not Take Control of Your Thought Life?

Christian Meditation For Mind ControlMeditation for mind control is

about taking charge of our thought life.

Think about it?

Thousands of thoughts pop into

our minds daily.

Many of these thoughts are NOT our own and

come from the constant bombardment of

media ads, newspapers, the internet, other people, etcetera.

I’m sure you would agree that most of these thoughts are not healthy and desperately need managed.

The fact that our minds are constantly bombarded with unwanted garbage should be a major concern for us. Why? Because our thoughts direct our lives.

Christian Meditation for Mind Control

The Bible has much to say about the impact our minds and thoughts have on our lives. The importance of meditating on what is true, pure, and right is encouraged over and over. This is to help us stay empowered with proper mind control and right thinking. Thinking right leads to right acting.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
— Proverbs 4:23

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
— Matthew 12:34

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

If our thoughts determine our lives, then we can change our circumstances by first changing our thoughts. How do we go about doing that? Well it does take work, but the good news is that it is quite simple.

Thought Life Check-up

The first step is to give our thought life a check-up. We need to take time to actually focus on what we are thinking.

Take note and evaluate the thoughts you have over the next few days.
Consider:

  • Thoughts about yourself (abilities, appearance, health, etc.)
  • Thoughts about others (God, relationships, etc.)
  • Thoughts about work
  • Thoughts about any and all other areas of your life

As you do this check-up and evaluate your thoughts, consider which ones are healthy, positive, productive, and beneficial to your life. Ask yourself if they are going to help you move forward in a positive direction? Then decide if you will allow them to stay or give them the boot.

For example: You may have thoughts of being a financial failure and constantly failing at everything you do. Your mind may replay past events of failure and come up with many reasons why you are sure to fail in the future and always live in poverty.

What does this type of negative thinking do? It takes away all hope of being financially successful and pursuing prosperity, and on top of that it lets you think you should settle for poverty.

By acknowledging that that kind of negative thinking is only destructive, you can then choose to put a stop to it by replacing it with thoughts that will be profitable and beneficial to your life.

Mind Control for Right Thinking and Right Living

The next step, after you’ve given your thought life a check-up and determined which thoughts no longer have permission to reside in your mind, is to take charge and do some mind control clean-up.

In order to remove negative, damaging, unwanted thoughts, they need to be replaced with positive, encouraging, or productive thoughts. We can’t just tell an unwanted thought to stop and go away. We have to also replace it with a favorable thought.

For example: You tell those thoughts of financial failure to stop and you take control of your mind by replacing those destructive thoughts with prosperous thoughts. This might be something such as: My God desires above all things that I prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. (3 John 2)

God’s Word is full of promises of success. He wants us to be blessed to be a blessing to others. We are encouraged to meditate on thoughts that will lead us into right living and success. However, God won’t just step in our minds and clean up our thinking for us. It is something we must do; with His help.

Take Charge of Your Thoughts

Keep in mind: Your thoughts are just that, they are your thoughts and they belong to you. So why not be in charge and take control of them?

Refuse to allow your mind to focus on thoughts of negative past experiences, or current difficult challenges, or any other discouraging thoughts that fill your mind with failure. Refuse to keep your life directed toward continual disappointment.

Bottom line: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Decide which thoughts you want to keep, and then replace the destructive thoughts with positive ones that will lead you to success. Meditate on success scriptures from the Word of God and take charge of your thought life with Christian meditation for the ultimate mind control.

May you change your life one thought at a time and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you –

Cheers,
Brenda
