How Can Christian Meditation and Positive Biblical Affirmations Adjust My Attitude?

How Can Christian Meditation and Positive Biblical Affirmations Adjust My Attitude?

Get a Spirit Lift for a Brighter Outlook on Life!

Biblical Meditation AffirmationChristian Meditation and

Biblical Affirmations

allow the Spirit of God to stir us up

and make us happy.

There is power in God’s Word to

renew our mind and replace negative

thoughts with positive life filled thoughts.

If we find ourselves dwelling on the same discouraging,

depressing, stressful, worrisome thoughts, then we need to put a stop to it.

How? By replacing negative thoughts with truths from the Word of God.

Replace Negative Thoughts with Positive Truths

You see, meditation on scripture gives us understanding of how God sees us and our future. In His scriptures we find words of hope, joy, peace, and encouragement.

“My meditation of Him shall be sweet and I will be glad in the Lord.”
— Psalm 104:34

We can help make the truths of God’s Word become a part of our mental dialogue by listening to Christian Meditation CDs or Biblical Affirmation CDs during our morning routine, at the office, in the car, while doing chores, and when falling asleep. Then when negative thoughts try to surface, our mind will be prepared and ready to affirm God’s Word instead.

The great thing about affirmations is that it is like planting positive seeds of change. Our minds are able to focus on the new positive thoughts, which will eventually grow to replace the old negative ones.

Biblical affirmations are scriptures that are stated in a positive, first person, present tense form. It is important to make them positive, because the things we hear repeatedly get deposited into our subconscious. And our subconscious takes in everything as if it is real.

Biblical Affirmation Example

Let’s look at an example of a positive biblical affirmation…

Have you ever had a time of struggling with fear? Well, we know that God says, He has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) The truth of God’s Word is that fear is not of Him. What is of God is power, love and a sound mind.

In this example we would not want to affirm ‘I am not afraid’, or ‘I do not fear’. Why? Because our subconscious is going to hear us confessing fear.

So what should the affirmation be? Make the affirmation: ‘God has given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.’

Begin now to fill your mind with this affirmation and your fears will begin to fade. The instant you become fearful, start confessing this affirmation and put a stop to the fearful thoughts instantly.

The success in using affirmations is repetition and speaking them out loud. You must listen to or read affirmations over and over until they begin to take root and grow.

So there you have it: Make Christian meditation and biblical affirmations a daily habit. Maintain a positive attitude and a bright outlook on life with the life transforming power of God’s Word. It is His desire that all believers tap into it as they grow nearer to Him.

Why not begin meditating and affirming the powerful Word of God in your life today?

God bless you always,
Brenda

Christian Meditation For Mind Control – Who Is In Charge Of Your Thoughts Anyway?

Christian Meditation For Mind Control – Who Is In Charge Of Your Thoughts Anyway?

Why Not Take Control of Your Thought Life?

Christian Meditation For Mind ControlMeditation for mind control is

about taking charge of our thought life.

Think about it?

Thousands of thoughts pop into

our minds daily.

Many of these thoughts are NOT our own and

come from the constant bombardment of

media ads, newspapers, the internet, other people, etcetera.

I’m sure you would agree that most of these thoughts are not healthy and desperately need managed.

The fact that our minds are constantly bombarded with unwanted garbage should be a major concern for us. Why? Because our thoughts direct our lives.

Christian Meditation for Mind Control

The Bible has much to say about the impact our minds and thoughts have on our lives. The importance of meditating on what is true, pure, and right is encouraged over and over. This is to help us stay empowered with proper mind control and right thinking. Thinking right leads to right acting.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
— Proverbs 4:23

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
— Matthew 12:34

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

If our thoughts determine our lives, then we can change our circumstances by first changing our thoughts. How do we go about doing that? Well it does take work, but the good news is that it is quite simple.

Thought Life Check-up

The first step is to give our thought life a check-up. We need to take time to actually focus on what we are thinking.

Take note and evaluate the thoughts you have over the next few days.
Consider:

  • Thoughts about yourself (abilities, appearance, health, etc.)
  • Thoughts about others (God, relationships, etc.)
  • Thoughts about work
  • Thoughts about any and all other areas of your life

As you do this check-up and evaluate your thoughts, consider which ones are healthy, positive, productive, and beneficial to your life. Ask yourself if they are going to help you move forward in a positive direction? Then decide if you will allow them to stay or give them the boot.

For example: You may have thoughts of being a financial failure and constantly failing at everything you do. Your mind may replay past events of failure and come up with many reasons why you are sure to fail in the future and always live in poverty.

What does this type of negative thinking do? It takes away all hope of being financially successful and pursuing prosperity, and on top of that it lets you think you should settle for poverty.

By acknowledging that that kind of negative thinking is only destructive, you can then choose to put a stop to it by replacing it with thoughts that will be profitable and beneficial to your life.

Mind Control for Right Thinking and Right Living

The next step, after you’ve given your thought life a check-up and determined which thoughts no longer have permission to reside in your mind, is to take charge and do some mind control clean-up.

In order to remove negative, damaging, unwanted thoughts, they need to be replaced with positive, encouraging, or productive thoughts. We can’t just tell an unwanted thought to stop and go away. We have to also replace it with a favorable thought.

For example: You tell those thoughts of financial failure to stop and you take control of your mind by replacing those destructive thoughts with prosperous thoughts. This might be something such as: My God desires above all things that I prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. (3 John 2)

God’s Word is full of promises of success. He wants us to be blessed to be a blessing to others. We are encouraged to meditate on thoughts that will lead us into right living and success. However, God won’t just step in our minds and clean up our thinking for us. It is something we must do; with His help.

Take Charge of Your Thoughts

Keep in mind: Your thoughts are just that, they are your thoughts and they belong to you. So why not be in charge and take control of them?

Refuse to allow your mind to focus on thoughts of negative past experiences, or current difficult challenges, or any other discouraging thoughts that fill your mind with failure. Refuse to keep your life directed toward continual disappointment.

Bottom line: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Decide which thoughts you want to keep, and then replace the destructive thoughts with positive ones that will lead you to success. Meditate on success scriptures from the Word of God and take charge of your thought life with Christian meditation for the ultimate mind control.

May you change your life one thought at a time and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you –

Cheers,
Brenda

Growing Prosperity: 5 Things You Need to Abundantly Receive the Abundance of God!

Growing Prosperity: 5 Things You Need to Abundantly Receive the Abundance of God!

Is Your Measure of Prosperity Limited by Your Ability to Receive?

Abundantly Receive the Abundance of GodGrowing prosperity is limited

by many human factors,

including our ability to receive.

If we were to enjoy the abundance of God

according to His willingness and ability to give,

there would be no poverty among us; for surely there is no lack in God!

The Giver and The Receiver

If you were given the choice to prosper according to your ability to ask and receive, or according to God’s willingness to give, what would you choose?

Who would even hesitate to choose the generous giving of God? We cannot even want a blessing that God has made available as eagerly as He wants to give it to us!

Our asking is limited by human factors. And our boldest request is sure to be small compared to God’s unlimited willingness to give and His boundless ability to perform what He wills.

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
— Ephesians 3:20

God is infinite, but it is not enough that we acknowledge the infinite abundance of God. We must also believe that He is infinitely generous to give and bless us out of His abundance.

So let me ask you: Why are Christians so poverty stricken? Their God is the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth, and rich beyond the powers of man to comprehend. Well of course, the problem is not with God the giver. The problem is on our receiving end, so let’s take a look at that.

5 Things You Need to Abundantly Receive the Abundance of God:

1. FAITH

Only a little faith is required to believe that God is infinitely abundant. However, to believe that God is a generous giver as well as the possessor of infinite abundance requires an advanced faith.

We need to be convinced that God is generous, goodhearted, kind and ready to pour out His blessings upon us. To gain a personal revelation of this and increase our faith, meditating on the Word and immersing ourselves in the Scriptures is a must. This will help validate our expectations.

Faith needs to be exercised to be effective and help us grow in our ability and capacity to receive abundantly. So believe God for financial abundance, spiritual abundance, and also abundance of love, joy, and peace. Have faith in God to prosper in every area of your life.

2. RECEPTIVE MINDSET

A receptive mindset to prosper is needed to receive in a greater capacity. This requires changing our focus from a scarcity mentality, to a more than enough mentality. The world would have us focus on lack, shortages, and loss to destroy our abundant mindset.

But, God is the God of more than enough and we should not put limits on Him. Our focus should be on the abundant promises in His Word.

Whatever you lack, believe God for it and expect to receive. Believe that God will supply all your needs; believe that He meets your needs and provides for those who seek Him.

3. RESPONSIBILITY

A serious responsibility goes along with the abundance that is manifested in our lives. Selfish stewardship over the gifts, talents, and blessings we receive can destroy their usefulness and our ability to receive more.

The gifts we have been blessed with are meant to be used to benefit others; not only ourselves. We are blessed to be a blessing.

4. GENEROSITY

Generosity opens the door to receiving. Giving and receiving go hand-in-hand. The more we give the more we receive. A generous heart is the heart of God and those with a generous spirit are blessed.

“Give, and it shall be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over… For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
— Luke 6:38

5. THANKFULNESS

It is impossible to be too thankful to God, but it might be good to try. It is God’s will that we give thanks in everything. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Those who maintain an attitude of gratitude also keep their ability to receive wide open.

Now what? Are you ready to receive in a measure more in keeping with God’s liberality? If so, then it is time for you to make these five things part of your life and abundantly start receiving the abundance of God.

May your ability to receive continue to increase and move you into an abundant life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Is Christian Meditation a Biblical Practice – Does God Want You to Meditate?

Is Christian Meditation a Biblical Practice – Does God Want You to Meditate?

Proof Biblical Meditation Empowers Christians!

Biblical Meditation Empowers ChristiansChristian meditation seems to be a lost art

for many believers these days.

Christians are often misled into thinking

meditation is unbiblical and that

they shouldn’t meditate.

However, this cannot be further from the truth!

Christian meditation is rooted in the Bible. God commands us in the Bible to meditate on His Word day and night so we will obey it.

“You shall meditate day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written.”
— Joshua 1:8

Biblical Meditation References

Take a look at Psalm chapter 119. In this chapter alone, we see that meditation on the Word of God is talked about over and over:

  • I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways. (Psalm 119:15)
  • Your servant did meditate in your statutes and didn’t bother what others said. (Psalm 119:23)
  • I will delight myself in your commandments and meditate in your statutes. (Psalm 119:47-48)
  • I will meditate in thy precepts. (Psalm 119:78)
  • Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. (Psalm 119:97)
  • I have more understanding than all my teachers: for your testimonies are my meditation. (Psalm 119:99)

We don’t count on man’s knowledge. Instead we count on the Word of God and our God given ability to have the eyes of our understanding enlightened when we meditate on the biblical truths of His Word.

Biblical Examples of Meditation

The Bible gives us examples of great men of God that meditated:

  • Isaac went out to meditate in the field. (Genesis 24:63)
  • Paul instructs Timothy to meditate on these things so his profiting may appear to all. (1 Timothy 4:15)
  • The psalmist prayed that the meditation of his heart be sweet and acceptable to God (Psalm 104:34, 19:14)
  • Joshua encourages meditation day and night in order to do it and become prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)

These references and examples are only just a sampling; to prove that yes, Christian mediation is biblical.

Do not be fooled: A reason so many Christians live empty, unsatisfying lives is due to the lack of obeying God’s command to meditate on His Word. Their deep spiritual need to be filled with the life transforming power of God is not being met.

Now that you are armed with this information, why not let God’s divine light shine in your life through meditation? There are many rewards of meditating on the Word of God and it is a major key to living a life of victory as a Christian.

Why not purpose to make Christian meditation a daily habit and get started today?

God bless you always,

Christian Meditation – Meditate to Release Bad Habits and Face a Bright Hopeful Future Fully Alive!

Discover Christian Meditation to Help You…
Put Your Dependency on God and Live Fully Alive

Christian Meditation for a Hopeful Future Living Fully AliveChristian meditation can help replace those

negative memories and heavy weights of our past by

turning our faces toward a bright and hopeful future.

No matter how our wrong choices, bad habits,

or the storms of life blowing through have negatively

affected our health, employment, relationships, finances, etc.,

we can face a hopeful future and begin to build up what has been torn down.

Replace a Negative Dependence with a Higher Power

Negative, unhealthy thinking leads to a dependency on negative habits. Soon the bad effects of those negative habits weigh a person down more and more. Whether the dependency is on overeating, smoking, drinking, gambling, lying, gossiping, stealing, hating, or any other unhealthy addiction, it is time to find a new outlook on life.

Do not allow yourself to harbor disturbing thoughts that cause you to depend on bad habits. It is time to learn how to change from a low level of negative thinking to a higher level of positive thinking. It is time to break the dependency on bad habits that tear down.

Now is the time to depend on GOD instead!

Get Honest, Release the Weights, and Live Fully Alive

What an awful load people carry around with them when they live dependant on negative habits. It causes them to live only half alive due to the constant negative effects and fear of being found out.

Get honest with yourself and with other people. Release those heavy weights you have been carrying around on your shoulders and leave them in the past. Allow yourself the right to break the dependency on any bad habits.

Commit to Depend on the Almighty Power of GOD and Live Fully Alive!

“They should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28

A Daily Christian Meditation to be a Channel for God’s Spirit:

I keep my life calm and composed. My task today is to find peace and acquire serenity. I think of constructive things until calmness comes. I seek the Lord and in Him I live, and move, and have my being. When I am calm I act as a channel for God’s Spirit. The things of the Spirit come in to take their place. God’s love and peace and calm come in and fill me up and I live fully alive.

Closing thoughts: In the spiritual world, just as in the material world, there is no empty space. No matter what fears, worries, and resentments you may have, replace them with thoughts of constructive things. Sweep your life clean, allow good to come in, build yourself up, and be constructive by practicing Christian Meditation daily.

May God’s love and peace make you fully alive and fill your life with growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
