Tithe Rap Video – A Fun Look at the Important Principle of Tithing!

Tithe Rap Video

Here is a fun video that takes a look at the important principle of tithing.

As Christians we are often way to serious, and we have to remind ourselves to lighten up and have a good laugh once in awhile!

“God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse…and prove me now, saith the Lord, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
— Malachi 3:10

Enjoy this video and Have a Blessed Day!

New Year, Fresh Start – 7 Exit Tips to Move You into the New Year with a Clean Slate!

New Year, Fresh Start – 7 Exit Tips to Move You into the New Year with a Clean Slate!

Out With the Old and In With the New

New Year Fresh StartA new year means a new start.

But first we need to look at the ‘out with the old’

before we look at the ‘in with the new.’

Why not start the New Year with a clean slate?

We all have skeletons in our closets;

those unpleasant things we are ashamed of

and hope nobody discovers about us.

But God can clean up our closets and wipe the slate clean.

He can give us a fresh new start and a clean slate in life so that we no longer care if others find out about our past, because God has cleaned it up and made all things new.

“Old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

7 Exit Tips for the Year:

1. Take an Account of the Past Year

Make note of the people that have done you wrong and FORGIVE everyone of them. Release them, loose them, let them go, and let it drop.

Don’t let your anger cause you to sin, or let the sun go down on your wrath. (Eph 4:26) Remember, forgiveness does not condone behavior, but a lack of forgiveness hurts you. And if you don’t forgive others you hold yourself in unforgiveness. (Matt 6:14-15)

2. Forgive Yourself

Confess your sin and God will forgive you. (1 John 1:9) We are not to sin, but if we do, we have an advocate with the Father; because Jesus is righteous we are righteous in Him.

If God will forgive us, but we won’t, that is extreme arrogance and pride.

3. Examine Yourself

Ask yourself, “Where am I at in my faith?”

“Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves.”
— 2 Corinthians 13:5

4. Repent

Repent means to turn from our ways and change for the better. Repentance is a basic principle of the doctrine of Christ. Repent and face the New Year renewed.

5. Commit to Forget the Past

“Forget those things which are behind and reach for those things which are ahead.”
— Philippians 3:13

Let God wash away your sins and any heavy burden of guilt that you have been carrying with it. Leave them in the past and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil 3:14)

6. Commit to Not Live on Past Successes

Don’t live on yesterday’s successes. Today is a new day and a new year is upon us; keep pressing forward. God does not want us to live on yesterday’s manna.

Don’t take record of the past. (Phil 3:8) Be busy about your Father’s business today. Commit to hunger after God’s Word daily.

7. Bury Past Events that Need to be Buried

Sometimes we need to bury past events.

“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
— Hebrews 12:1-2

Before we start the race we have to first drop the weights holding us down. Strife, gossip, worry, fear, pride, arrogance, racism are just some of the many weights.

Now what? Take some time to let God help you exit the year with a clean slate. Let Him fill your New Year with love, joy, hope, peace, power, prosperity, and victory.

May you have a blessed and Happy New Year filled with growing prosperity!

Brenda

You Are More by Tenth Avenue North – Christian Music Video

“You Are More” by Tenth Avenue North – Christian Music Video

“You Are More” by Tenth Avenue North

from the album The Light Meets the Dark

Tenth Avenue North plays “You Are More” Live on Spirit 105.3 Radio.

“You Are More” Song Lyrics:

There’s a girl in the corner

With tear stains on her eyes
From the places she’s wandered
And the shame she can’t hide

She says, “How did I get here?
I’m not who I once was
And I’m crippled by the fear
That I’ve fallen too far to love”

But don’t you know who you are?
What’s been done for you?

Yeah don’t you know who you are

You are more than the choices that you’ve made
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes
You are more than the problems you create
You’ve been remade

Well she tries to believe it
That she’s been given new life
But she can’t shake the feeling
That it’s not true tonight

She knows all the answers
And she’s rehearsed all the lines

And so she’ll try to do better
But then she’s too weak to try

But don’t you know who you are?

You are more than the choices that you’ve made
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes
You are more than the problems you create
You’ve been remade

You are more than the choices that you’ve made
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes
You are more than the problems you create
You’ve been remade

‘Cause this is not about what you’ve done
But what’s been done for you

This is not about where you’ve been
But where your brokenness brings you to
This is not about what you feel
But what He felt to forgive you
And what He felt to make you loved

You are more than the choices that you’ve made
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes
You are more than the problems you create
You’ve been remade

You’ve been remade

“Therfore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus washes our slate clean and in Him we are new creatures.

Enjoy this song and God bless you!

Spiritual Power – How Can Operating in the Spiritual Realm Bring Prosperity on Earth?

Spiritual Power – How Can Operating in the Spiritual Realm Bring Prosperity on Earth?

Find Out How You Can Increase Your Spiritual Powers

Spiritual PowerSpiritual power is available for those…

willing to learn how to use it and improve it.

Just like we can increase the power…

of our minds and bodies to improve our life,

we can increase our spiritual powers –

to manifest abundant prosperity in all areas of life.

Spirit, Soul, and Body

We are three-part beings; spirit, soul (mind), and body. It is normal for people to go to school, study, and take classes throughout life to improve their minds and intellect. It is also a common practice for people to learn how to strengthen and condition their bodies for improved physical strength. These are all good things that improve our overall quality of life and ability to have growing prosperity.

But what about the spirit part of our being? How easy is it to ignore that part of us that we cannot see, touch, or feel?

The thing is; even though the spiritual realm is invisible it still affects our physical world. The condition of our spirit can be strengthen and improved, just like our mind and body, and it also directly affects the quality of our life.

So if you have been neglecting this part of yourself, today is a good day to reconsider the power of the human spirit.

Spiritual Power

What part of you doesn’t grow old? Your inward man, your spirit; it is renewed day by day and never ages.

“Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
— 2 Corinthians 4:16

It is vital that you realize the Kingdom of God is inside you and operates through your spirit. As a child of God it was your spirit that was born again of the Spirit of God. You now have the life of God in you, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Eph. 3:20)

When the Greater One is working inside our spirit it is capable of providing everything we need in this life, whether it be spiritual, physical, or financial. It can produce it, lead us to it, or cause it to come. However, we need to learn how to tap into this power and allow our spirit to operate effectively.

Operating in the Spiritual Realm

Our own spirit knows more than our intellect. It is our spirit, inside us, that is the real us that is in contact with God and knows all about our needs, failures, and strengths.

“For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:11

If we learn to tap into the power of our spirit by seeking first the Kingdom of God and studying His Word, we can tap into the wisdom of God and have all things added to us and we will prosper.

God’s system will produce abundance when we are diligent to work the system. It requires getting His Word into our heart and spirit and not just our intellect. Why? Because it is a spiritual operation. We can plant it in our spirit and start it growing by confessing something such as the following daily:

I give and it is given unto me. I sow bountifully and reap bountifully. My God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.’

When we begin to operate in the spiritual realm, we empower ourselves with a positive force that wards off negative attacks. This positive, spiritual, faith force works on a higher realm than the physical realm and causes the abundance of God to manifest in our lives even if others are in lack.

Truth is: Knowing how to operate on a higher spiritual realm is worth discovering. When we operate in the realm of the spirit with God, we will find His wisdom and empowerment to bring us growing prosperity on earth.

May you operate on a higher spiritual realm and live a life of growing prosperity!

Leadership – How Can the Power of Loyalty in a Leader Result in the Blessings of Success?

Leadership – How Can the Power of Loyalty in a Leader Result in the Blessings of Success?

Loyalty is Required to Reap the Full Reward

Leadership is a powerful directing force for any nation, group, or family.

The quality of a leader greatly impacts the followers and where they end up.

And the power of loyalty is a core element that results in leading the people into success.

Loyalty is a Key Qualification for Leaders

It is often thought, when someone is looking to step into a position, that in order to qualify they need to be the most talented or gifted person for the position. However, it is the loyal and faithful who are the most qualified to be leaders.

It is also thought that the friendly, flashy, outgoing person might be the best one for the job. But do not make the mistake in thinking that. A core requirement for leadership is loyalty and faithfulness and not anything else. A loyal person can be taught the skills needed for the job.

“It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
— 1 Corinthians 4:2

Loyalty is Required to Reap the Full Reward

Success comes to the loyal and faithful ones. One day we all hope to hear those famous words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

In the good times everyone seems loyal. Those who remain supportive through the difficult times are different from those who come in when everything is working well. No doubt, loyalty is most appreciated in hard times.

Loyalty Needed for a Successful Team of People

One person can only do so much. Growing success requires building a loyal team of people. In fact, no team will be strong and effective if they are not loyal.

It would actually be better to work alone than with a team of disloyal, disgruntled, and disunited people. One disloyal person breeds strife, hatred, and murmuring like smoke that quickly fills the whole house. Whenever there is distrust and disloyalty, the people are on guard and stray away.

Effective leaders exhibit loyalty and faithfulness. People are attracted by genuine love and commitment and repelled by disunity and discord. Loyal leaders influence their followers to be an effective and loyal team of people, who in turn create loyal successors.

Bottom line: Those who benefit from the blessings of success are the faithful and loyal ones. Without loyalty every organization constantly undergoes disintegration. Loyal leaders build loyal teams that remain committed in the good times and bad so that all can benefit from the blessings of success.

May you be a loyal and faithful leader and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

The Power of Prayer in Your Hour of Need!

Powerful help is available when we cry out to God in our days of trouble.

Over and over, throughout history and in the Bible, we see God’s active involvement triggered by the cry of His people.

Moments of immediate, fearful need, hours of crisis, and days of trouble come to us all eventually. And they too often seem to show up unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

The Power of Crying Out to God in Your Storms of Life

Have you ever found yourself in similar storms of life, or do you find yourself in a trial today? Then stop what you are doing right now and cry aloud to the Almighty God in your trouble.

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
— Psalm 50:15

God is expecting us to call upon Him. So we should be ready to cry out loud to the Lord for His saving help; as soon as a need arises. God says He will deliver us, so we should boldly expect His deliverance. And the great thing is; we then have one more reason to glorify Him.

Humility Required to Cry Aloud to God in Your Distress

God makes it clear and simple that He wants us to cry out to Him, that He will deliver us, and third that we are to glorify Him for it.

Are you one that prefers to be an independent, self-sufficient type? Would you rather suffer through the storm without asking for help, and then with pride say ‘Look what I did?’

Crying out to God allows us to recognize our weakness and at the same time experience His strength.

“For when I am weak, then am I strong.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:10

Keep in mind it takes a lot of humility to cry out loud to God in our desperate moments. But that is what He tells us to do, regardless of our thoughts about the situation. God wants us to clearly see in the end that He is our deliverer and that He deserves the thanks. We should glorify Him by saying ‘Look what God did!’

A Desperate Cry to Calm the Storm in Your Life

Consider Jesus’ disciples during the storm on the Sea of Galilee. They were feeling overwhelmed by trouble during this terrible storm and the boat was filling up with water. The disciples were in a panic and overwhelmed; worried they were going to drown. And even though Jesus was in the boat with them, He somehow remained sound asleep.

As the disciples reached total desperation, they cried out loud to Jesus saying ‘Lord, save us!’ It wasn’t until they cried out to Jesus in desperation that He took action and calmed the storm in their lives.

The simple fact of the matter is this: God is totally serious about hearing from those who cry out to Him in their day of trouble. Know this and believe it. God delights in showing Himself strong on behalf of anyone who is facing a desperate situation and will cry out for His deliverance.

May you use the power of crying out to the Lord in your day of trouble and be delivered into a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda

Why in the World Would God Allow a Sincere Believer to Undergo Attacks of Evil?

Why in the World Would God Allow a Sincere Believer to Undergo Attacks of Evil?

Spiritual Warfare – If God is For Us, How Can He Allow Such Difficult Seasons of Trials and Attacks to Come In Our Life?

Spiritual warfare is a part of life that many people prefer to ignore and overlook.

However, on a daily basis, we experience all kinds of attacks and temptations from the unseen world; some more intense than others.

Under typical conditions, most godly people will walk steadfast throughout life. Not perfect, but in victory.

God develops strength in us through tests and trials. But why would God allow us to go through intense evil attacks? Well, since God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours, we can’t completely understand; but there are some answers available to us.

Tests and Temptations of Life

God may test us, but He never tempts us to sin. And He always provides a way of escape for us.

“There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:13

We see temptation come through a couple of obvious sources. One is the devil and the other our own lusts. (1 Thessalonians 3:5, James 1:14)

The Example of Job

Before the devil can wage an all out war on a believer, he first has to get God’s permission. Look at Job, for example, and how God allowed him to be tested so harshly. Why? Because God had faith in Job. And Job, having no idea what was going on in the unseen world during his attacks, proved to be faithful to God.

Sometimes in life, the heat is turned up and it is battle on, and things can seem unbearable. But that is when we need to stand firm and trust God. Remember, God is for us and we can come through victorious just like Job!

“Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take to you the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.”

— Ephesians 6:10-13

No matter how bad we get knocked down we need to call on the power of God and get back up!

The Example of Peter

Another example is Simon Peter. Satan wanted permission to attack Peter and attempt to cause him to lose his faith. But God had a different purpose for allowing the shaking. When Simon Peter’s self-confidence was shaken he was brought closer to a true foundation of trust in the Lord, and better equipped to strengthen his brothers.

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail.
And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

— Luke 22: 31-32

Jesus did not pray that Simon Peter would escape the sifting, but that his faith would not fail in the process.

Why Does God Allow the Attacks?

We see in these examples that the devil can seek permission to come at us with intense attacks. God also allows him permission sometimes. And even though it is not a happy thought, in each of these examples they were tested by God through Satan.

All of us will be tested so we can be refined like gold. None of us will escape some degree of it.

“When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”
— Job 23:10

“Greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Peter 1:6-7

God knows what He is doing. And what Satan intends for evil, our faithful God intends for good.

“The very God of peace sanctify you wholly;
and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body
be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful is He that calls you, who also will do it.”

– 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Make no mistake about it: God is faithful and He will do whatever it takes to sanctify us to fulfill our calling. Yes, there are things going on out there that we just don’t understand. But if the enemy has been allowed to attack, and we go through a season of severe sifting, we still have to trust God.

May you faithfully trust God in all seasons and live a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda
