May 5th is the day designated as the National Day of Prayer in the USA. 2011 is the 60th Annual Observance.
Prayer has always been used in this country for guidance, protection, and strength. Our founding fathers acknowledged our freedoms as a direct gift from God and the only way to insure protection was through prayer.
This year’s theme for the National Day of Prayer is:
