Affirmation Power – How to Overcome Fear and Strengthen Your Courage with Affirmations

Affirmation Power – How to Overcome Fear and Strengthen Your Courage with Affirmations

Why Not Put the Power of Affirmations to Work for Your Benefit?

Affirmations are a powerful force in helping direct our lives.

If you are lacking in any quality…

you can strengthen it with regular affirmations.

They will make your brain clearer…

and your thoughts more effective.

“An affirmation is a statement of Truth consciously used so as to become the directing power of Life’s expression.”
— Orison Swett Marden

Fearful Thoughts Versus Courageous Thinking

Would you like to overcome fear in your life? If you are a coward anywhere in your nature, which most people are, you can put the power of affirmations to work for your benefit.

Strengthen your courage by regularly affirming that you are absolutely fearless, that you are courageous, and that nothing can harm you. Consider that fear is simply the sense of danger. But when you have perfect confidence in the great Creator and His purpose for your life, when you trust in Him completely, there will be no cause for fear.

God has a plan for your life and He says it is not to harm you, but to prosper you and give you a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) Once you convince yourself that there is a good plan for your life, and that the opposing thoughts must be a delusion, you will gradually lose the sense of fear and gain the courage you desire.

“Nerve us with incessant affirmation. Don’t bark against the bad, but chant the beauties of the good.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Affirmations Create Power

Determine today not to harbor anything in your mind which you do not wish to become real in your life. Every time you feel a sense of fear coming over you, replace it by saying something such as the following affirmation:

‘I am absolutely fearless; I am strong and courageous because the Lord is my God and my helper; I am more than a conqueror and always triumph in Christ.’

Do not entertain a weak or fearful thought. Instead replace them with confident, hopeful, optimistic thoughts. If you form the habit of affirming to yourself bold and courageous thoughts, as soon as a sense of fear arises, you will be surprised to see how quickly you can change the whole course of your thoughts. And when this is changed, the feeling will change also.

You will begin to increase your courage and confidence, and this is half the battle. You will soon find that your environment will begin to change. Hope will increase and you will have a healthier outlook on life. Your thoughts, instead of depressing your mind, will be a perpetual encouragement of courage and confidence that drives out fear.

Now what? Discover the wonderful advantage available to you by starting out every morning with the mindset of affirming the confident and courageous person God created you to be. Let affirmations create a powerful force that make it difficult for any discouraging and fearful thoughts to take over. Overcome fear and strengthen your courage with powerful affirmations.

May your mind be filled with courageous, confident affirmations and your life full of growing prosperity!

God bless you –

Growing Prosperity – Why Limit Prosperity to Only One Area of Your Life?

Growing Prosperity – Why Limit Prosperity to Only One Area of Your Life?

Would You Like to Successfully Prosper in More Areas of Your Life?

Growing prosperity is possible in all areas of your life.

Do you limit it to only one?

Many people find they limit prosperity to only one or two areas because they are diligent in only those areas.

For example, some are successful in the area of healing and walking in divine health, but fail when it comes to financial prosperity.

Why does this happen? The answer given to this question is often that it must not be God’s will that a person be prosperous or healed.

Knowledge of God’s Willingness to Prosper

It is key that we have the knowledge of God’s willingness to prosper us.

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.” — 2 Peter 1:2

We are often like the leper in the first chapter of Mark that knows God is able, but questions whether or not He is willing. But Jesus answered the man’s question saying, “I will” and then healing power flowed into the leper’s life.

Does God want us poor? We need to answer the poverty question if we want to see prosperity come.

We need to know God will and not doubt about His willingness. God’s willingness and prosperity is multiplied to us through the knowledge of God. As we gain the knowledge of God, we gain faith in that knowledge, and in turn see grace multiplied to us.

Get a Healthy Attitude Toward Prosperity In Every Area

If we spend our time with a focus on healing, we will enjoy prosperous health. But then we might struggle to prosper financially. It is important to find a balance.

Our thinking and believing needs to line up with the Word of God, rather than letting preconceived ideas rule that may be contrary to God’s will. If a person believes that it is a sin to have money or live in a nice house, they will have contrary thoughts and attitudes that prevent growing prosperity.

If our mind is not prosperous in a certain area, then usually we will not prosper in that area. If it is the area of finances, then we may not give much because we don’t believe God wants us to have anything. Then because we never believe for a return, even if it comes, we miss it. To reap a financial harvest, it takes a prosperous attitude.

We can prosper in even the little things in life. When we meditate on the Word of God daily, renew our minds, and purpose to live in line with His will, God says, “Whatever you do shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:3)

Make no mistake about it: God is willing to use His power and ability to prosper us. His peace is multiplied to us through the knowledge of God. Peace is prosperity because it joins us together as one with Jesus, and that is prosperity any way you look at it.

May you gain the knowledge of God’s willingness to fill your life with growing prosperity!

Christian Parenting – Stop Using Negative Verbal Attacks and Start Parenting with Words that Prosper!

Christian Parenting – Stop Using Negative Verbal Attacks and Start Parenting with Words that Prosper!

Parenting With the Power to Help Our Children Prosper

Parenting with a healthy pattern of communication is possible.

Do you want to help your children prosper?

Just as the world around us has harmful elements, so do our homes; even our Christian homes.

As unfortunate as it is, we often hurt each other, especially our children, with our words.

Did you grow up with parents who used words as verbal attacks?

If you did, I’m sure you hoped you wouldn’t do the same with your children. But the truth is, you will probably repeat the pattern unless you purpose to take action and stop it.

Stop the Negative Communication Pattern of Parenting

Changing your parenting communication pattern from one that uses negative verbal attacks is possible. Developing healthy patterns of communication, which reflect the presence of Jesus Christ, is key!

I’m sure you would agree that the cruel, degrading, judgmental, hurtful words we use to communicate with our children must stop. It is like verbal poison that wounds and destroys our children emotionally. Our words are often negative attacks at a child’s behavior, intelligence, appearance, or value as a person.

Verbal attacks can be direct or indirect. The following statements are some common examples:

  • You’re worthless and will never amount to anything.
  • Don’t act so stupid. Can’t you do anything right?
  • You are no good. Why can’t you be like your brother?

Just because we can’t see the inner damage that verbal attacks cause in our children, does not mean a negative impact still isn’t left lingering in them.

Parenting With Words That Prosper

How do we change a negative parenting communication pattern to one that is positive and helps develop our children into prosperous individuals?

Acknowledging the need to change is the first step. The next step is identifying abusive words we use. Then we need to begin exchanging the destructive, hurtful words with constructive, guiding, nurturing, and encouraging words.

James said the tongue is full of deadly poison and out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. (James 3:8-10) We need to lean on God’s help to keep our words, words of blessing and encouragement.

When our words are full of nurture and encouragement, our children know we are standing with them and not against them. Children need their parents to believe in their potential as they guide and discipline them.

Believe in your children. Help your children see themselves the way God sees them. Help them find their unique, gifted potential and you’ll also find they begin to respond in ways you desire. Once they discover you are standing with them, a healthier communication develops.

Yes. Our children try our patience, irritate us and sometimes humiliate us in ways we never thought possible. Problems, difficulties, disappointments, heartaches and failures are an unavoidable part of parenting. But we can choose to respond with words that heal instead of words that wound.

Bottom line: A parents words have power. We can make our children feel worthless or we can choose to learn how to parent with a healthy pattern of communication; one that helps them think as highly of themselves as God does, and helps them prosper.

May you parent your children with words of love and enjoy a family blessed with growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

Why Not Use the Power of Crying Out to the Living God in Your Day of Trouble?

The Power of Prayer in Your Hour of Need!

Powerful help is available when we cry out to God in our days of trouble.

Over and over, throughout history and in the Bible, we see God’s active involvement triggered by the cry of His people.

Moments of immediate, fearful need, hours of crisis, and days of trouble come to us all eventually. And they too often seem to show up unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

The Power of Crying Out to God in Your Storms of Life

Have you ever found yourself in similar storms of life, or do you find yourself in a trial today? Then stop what you are doing right now and cry aloud to the Almighty God in your trouble.

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
— Psalm 50:15

God is expecting us to call upon Him. So we should be ready to cry out loud to the Lord for His saving help; as soon as a need arises. God says He will deliver us, so we should boldly expect His deliverance. And the great thing is; we then have one more reason to glorify Him.

Humility Required to Cry Aloud to God in Your Distress

God makes it clear and simple that He wants us to cry out to Him, that He will deliver us, and third that we are to glorify Him for it.

Are you one that prefers to be an independent, self-sufficient type? Would you rather suffer through the storm without asking for help, and then with pride say ‘Look what I did?’

Crying out to God allows us to recognize our weakness and at the same time experience His strength.

“For when I am weak, then am I strong.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:10

Keep in mind it takes a lot of humility to cry out loud to God in our desperate moments. But that is what He tells us to do, regardless of our thoughts about the situation. God wants us to clearly see in the end that He is our deliverer and that He deserves the thanks. We should glorify Him by saying ‘Look what God did!’

A Desperate Cry to Calm the Storm in Your Life

Consider Jesus’ disciples during the storm on the Sea of Galilee. They were feeling overwhelmed by trouble during this terrible storm and the boat was filling up with water. The disciples were in a panic and overwhelmed; worried they were going to drown. And even though Jesus was in the boat with them, He somehow remained sound asleep.

As the disciples reached total desperation, they cried out loud to Jesus saying ‘Lord, save us!’ It wasn’t until they cried out to Jesus in desperation that He took action and calmed the storm in their lives.

The simple fact of the matter is this: God is totally serious about hearing from those who cry out to Him in their day of trouble. Know this and believe it. God delights in showing Himself strong on behalf of anyone who is facing a desperate situation and will cry out for His deliverance.

May you use the power of crying out to the Lord in your day of trouble and be delivered into a life of growing prosperity!

God bless you always,

Expect Abundance – How to Use Expectation to Trigger the Law of Attraction!

Expect Abundance – How to Use Expectation to Trigger the Law of Attraction!

Increase the Flow of Wealth Into Your Material World

Expecting abundance is a powerful force.

What are you doing to generate increase?

Wealth will not come into your material world…

until you first expectantly visualize the wealth in your mind.

But what does that really mean?

Prospering Internally

Before we can begin to overcome the poverty surrounding us in our external world, we need to claim victory over the impoverishment buried deep within ourselves. Prosperity begins with an inward awareness that an unlimited supply abounds within the spiritual realm all around us.

“It’s almost as if there is an invisible reservoir of abundance in the universe that can be tapped if you will just obey certain spiritual laws.”
— Norman Vincent Peale

It is impossible to feel poor with an understanding and consciousness of being surrounded by the infinite God of the universe; a God that never lacks. The lack that we experience in life is simply caused from our own limited awareness.

The Light Bulb Story

There is a story told of a poor couple that moves into a small village and is astonished to discover their new home is lighted by electricity. They had no prior experience with the power and force of electricity and they never saw an electric light before.

After several months, the couple adjusts to this new found discovery when a salesman stops by and recommends they upgrade their 8 watt bulbs with 60 watt bulbs; to better meet their needs.  Once the new bulb is plugged in, the entire room is illuminated.

The couple never imagined, in their wildest dreams that the source of this new flood of magnificent light had been there all the time. They didn’t know this abundant increase of light could come from the same current that was feeding their 8 watt bulb.

Plugging Into Abundance with Expectation

The truth is; most of us are even less aware of the power available to us than this couple was of the electric power current. We never dream that the infinite, abundant, current which surrounds us could flood our lives with light more magnificent than the most powerful light bulb.

In order to experience increase we need to plug a larger, more prosperous, expectant idea into the current of the infinite abundance of God. Unfortunately though, most of us strangle our supply with negative energized thoughts of doubt, fear, and poverty; which only cutoff the inflow of prosperity.

Now is the time to change that negative, habitual, pattern of thinking. Remember, the stream of plenty flows toward the expectant mind. We must live by faith expecting to receive.

Firmly establish the desired goal in your mind and live expectant. Expect good things to happen. Expect to be blessed. Imagine already being in possession of wealth and develop the prosperity you seek in your mind first. Know where you are and where you are going; and expect to get there!

Allow your expectation to trigger the attractive force that will help move your desired goals in your direction.

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

Let the law of attraction help manifest your prosperous thoughts.

Remember: As you think means the innermost thoughts of your heart; which you control. That is what you expect, what you attract, and what you will ultimately receive.

May you live by faith, expecting to attract a life of growing prosperity!

Self-Esteem – 7 Ways to Live With Bold Confidence

Self-Esteem – 7 Ways to Live With Bold Confidence

Transform Yourself Into a Shining Success!

Healthy self-esteem and bold confidence,

when put to work in your life…

have transforming power to make you a shining success.

Have you been living with intimidation, self-doubt, anxiety, fear, and rejection? If so, then you know it is time to change the insecurity into security.

Do yourself a favor and take a little time to focus on some ways you can overcome those negative, unwanted traits you’ve been carrying around for way too long.

7 Ways to Help You Live With Bold Confidence:

1.) CHOOSE TO RISE ABOVE

Make a commitment to yourself today, to begin overcoming the weaknesses and inadequacies you’ve been dealing with. Even though it will take hard work and you are bound to mess up along the way, make a conscious decision to keep pressing on and rising above. You are worth it!

2.) SPEND TIME WITH ENCOURAGERS

Be cautious who you spend time with. Your relationships are a key factor in overcoming a low self-esteem.  Choose to spend time with encouragers. Regardless of your past, you can have healthy relationships.

“He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
— Proverbs 13:20

3.) SHIFT YOUR FOCUS ON OTHERS

There is a great empowerment that comes from shifting your focus off yourself and on to others. It is easy to keep our minds focused on our own problems, fears, and insecurities. But this only intensifies them. Look around at someone struggling and reach out to lend a hand. True peace comes from giving.

4.) MAKE YOUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS RULE

Keep your mind filled with positive, empowering, confidence building, and happy thoughts. Overcoming a negative, and weak self-image is going to require that you eliminate those self-defeating thoughts. Squeeze them out of your mind by replacing them with healthy, confident thoughts.

Remember, God is not the one who gave you a spirit of fear. He gave you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind! (2 Timothy 1:7)

5.) LEAVE THE PAIN IN THE PAST

Do not waste any more time replaying painful, embarrassing, or intimidating experiences from your past. This keeps you stuck and prevents you from walking into the future with the bold confidence needed to succeed. You do not have to let others (or past memories) cause you to lack confidence and live with insecurity.

Forgive anyone that has hurt you, and forgive yourself while you are at it. Then put the painful past behind you and face your future with strong confidence.

6.) TRUST GOD

God has a good plan for our lives. If we spend our lives trusting in ourselves and other people, the result is disappointment after disappointment. We need to put our trust in God and let him guide us. He is the one that will give us the desires of our heart. (Psalm 37:3-6)

7.) TALK CONFIDENCE

Just like it is vital to your self-esteem to get control of your thoughts, the same is true of your words. What are you saying about yourself? Do you make self-defeating confessions such as: ‘I am so ugly,’ ‘I am such a loser,’ ‘I am worthless,’ ‘I am stupid,’ ‘I never do anything right,’ etcetera?

The words we speak have power to affect us for the good or bad. Use this knowledge to empower yourself with confidence building confessions. It does not matter if you or others have spoken negative, curses over your life; you now have the choice to speak positive, encouraging, faith-filled words.

“In all things I am more than a conqueror through Him that loved me.”
— Romans 8:37

Your next step? Make the decision to begin applying these seven steps to help you conquer low self-esteem, intimidation, fear, and insecurity. Encourage yourself and refuse to give up. God says you are a victor and you really can be all that God has called you to be. You can live with bold confidence and transform yourself into a shining success.

May you live empowered with bold confidence and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Soar higher in Him –

God bless you,

Growing Prosperity – How Can the Power of Patience Help You Prosper?

Growing Prosperity – How Can the Power of Patience Help You Prosper?

The Power of Patience in an “I Want It Now” World!

Growing prosperity and a look at the power of patience…

for a society that wants to pick-up their prosperity –

like a drive thru meal.

Can anybody argue with the fact that:

we are now living in a microwave culture?

We now have all sorts of things from…

fast food, spray on tans, instant text messaging around the world…

to drive-thru marriage ceremonies.

The “I Want It Now” Prosperity

Most people are in a hurry to receive whatever it is they desire to have, and almost everyone wants it right now!

Unfortunately, the microwave attitude continues to play a part in much more significant issues in our life. We often approach God and ask him to get involved in a situation only because we want to do everything within our ability to get the answer we want, and that we want right now!

We expect to have God answer each of our prayers by the speed of a microwave dinner, otherwise we start taking matters into our own hands.

The thing is, those that have genuine faith will not be hindered by circumstances or even the passing of time. They will be steadfast, immoveable, unshakeable, habitual, and in addition, just won’t give up until they receive the manifestation of their God breathed prayer.

“Wait patiently for the Lord, be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
— Psalm 27:14

Patience to Prosper is Not the Norm

Patiently waiting is a principle to live by. Society will attempt to persuade people that to become a mover and a shaker these days they must win at any cost and also neglect others in their effort to be successful. On the contrary God does not intend we do any harm to others on our individual journey down the path towards prosperity.

God desires our heart to be dedicated to His way, His will, His instruction, His right timing. Many times that may require patiently waiting.

Of course, the things we do when we are patiently waiting are going to make a huge difference. The truth is: a lot of believers regard patiently waiting as wasted time. These people may truly want to see the Lord’s will be accomplished in their life; however they already have been trained to believe that God needs them to physically assist Him out, all of the time.

Patience that Places You in Position to Prosper

Bear in mind, people who wait patiently on the Lord place themselves in position to prosper. Take a look at these verses, and then be aware, the word ‘wait’ means to be available, to be ready, to expect, look, or wait patiently for:

  • “Those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” (Psalm 37:9)
  • “Blessed are those who wait for His help.” (Isaiah 30:18)
  • “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him.” (Lamentations 3:25)

You will discover seasons in your life when God desires that you seek His presence and not seek Him just for his provision. In this fast paced world it is easy to get our priorities out of order.

Start patiently waiting on the Lord. Seek Him in prayer. Expect to see His promises fulfilled. Wait patiently for Him to set you up for future blessings. Worship Him. Many Christians will say this is time just wasted sitting around. But no!

Truth is: Patiently waiting on God requires faith, prayer, courage, and bravery. It takes a completely surrendered heart that trusts God, and believes His perfect timing is better than ours and will put us in the position to prosper.

May your patience increase as you wait on the Lord and position yourself for growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,

What Are 3 Key Mistakes Christians Make When Meditating God’s Word?

What Are 3 Key Mistakes Christians Make When Meditating God’s Word?

Overcome Obstacles that Try to Keep You From Time in His Divine Presence

Christian meditation is a valuable time that opens up truths and leads us into the great mysteries of God.

As children of God we should have a heart to seek wisdom and understanding of the Lord’s ways.

“My mouth shall speak of wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.” — Psalm 49:3

There is great wisdom in the Word of God just waiting to be revealed… but we have to do our part to discover it.

When Christians begin to meditate, they often make these 3 key mistakes:

1. Meditation Becomes a Religious Chore

First off, Christian meditation should not be looked at as a religious chore. We should look at it as an exciting time that keeps us blessed, happy, peaceful, successful, and prosperous even in times of trouble; because we are tapped in the power of God.

Once we make it a chore, our heart is no longer in it and we are no longer open to receiving. This essentially defeats the purpose to begin with.

So always remember what a blessing and privilege it is to spend time alone with the King of kings; God Himself. It is a gift to spend time in the power of His divine presence.

2. Lack of Flexibility When Meditating

The second mistake that many Christians make is jumping into meditation with a strict, fixed schedule. This can be a setup for failure if flexibility is not included in the mix.

We all know life is constantly showing up with the unexpected. And unfortunately, an unexpected interruption in a strict meditation routine will become an easy excuse to stop meditating all together. Allow yourself to be flexible with time and method, especially when getting started.

3. Failing to be Consistent When Meditating

The third mistake is failing to be consistent in the long run. Meditation can be practiced in different forms. So start with one or two ways that feel comfortable for you. Begin with a simple method and schedule that will allow you to be consistent.

The goal is to make meditating God’s Word a habit. That way, the Word of God will be built up in us and help us stand strong when the storms of life blow through. It is not about waiting to meditate as soon as a need arises in our life.

If you are a believer that has not yet made meditation a regular part of your life, well there is no better day than today to get started. If you are already meditating on God’s Word regularly, then keep at it and be consistent. The more time spent in meditation the easier it becomes.

In conclusion: Meditation enables us to purposefully take the time to draw near and make a connection to God. Do not let these common mistakes get in your way. We are well rewarded for the little effort meditating takes!

Are you ready to commit to daily Christian meditation in the empowering, living Word of God?

God bless you,
Brenda
