God’s Blessings: 4 Roads That Lead You There
Marc Millan is a recording artist turned worship leader. I came across an article, he wrote recently on his blog, called “The Road to God’s Blessings.”
He shares how he learned four critical lessons while following Jesus… lessons to obtaining God’s blessings or favor, such as joy, peace, love, understanding, and rest.
God’s Blessings: 4 Roads That Lead You There
“Here are four roads that will lead to God’s blessing over our lives from what His Word tells us.
1. Forgiveness– If you are carrying around bitterness or a grudge, you gotta let that stuff go, you gotta trust God with those things…
2. Humility- If you think you aren’t prideful…sorry to break it to you, you are prideful. In fact, unless you are…
3. Submission- I struggled with this for some time because of how badly my father was treated in ministry, I felt I had to constantly…
4. Purity– A life called to serve God must be consecrated and separated from sinful activity. Not only that, the desire to…
If we can ask God, openly to reveal these areas in our lives so that these roads, these areas, a life that forgives, that walks humbly, a life submitted to authority and a life of purity can become part of us, we will remain under the mighty hand of God, in safety, with His blessing and favor over everything we do and everything we are.” (read the whole article here – Update June 2014: original link no longer good)
I encourage you to take a minute to read his entire article (sorry original article no longer available) and gather some wisdom he shares in these lessons.

Inspirational – Expect the Favor of God and Let Him Turn Your Trials to Blessings!
Expect the Favor of God to Flow in Your Life
favor abounds and flows from God.
So if you feel like there is no hope,
for the trials you are struggling to overcome
at this time in your life, be encouraged.
God is there for you and He wants to turn your trials into blessings!
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them out of them all.”
— Psalm 34:19
Trials Turned Into Blessings
Alright, well we can’t expect that the storms of life won’t blow our way. The fact is: storms are a part of life. What we can expect is to have God by our side; helping us through the storms.
God can be trusted to always be there for us. It comes as no surprise, but it’s not the same case with people – people let us down. And that is exactly why we turn to God first and foremost in our trials, because He is the one that can ultimately turn our trials into blessings.
Regardless of the trouble you may be facing, God has an answer. He wants you to turn to Him so He can help you with a solution. Remember, God cares about you. Not only that, He loves you and has a great plan and purpose for your life.
“‘For I know the plan I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
— Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Expect the Favor of God
Learn to put your expectation on the favor of God flowing in your life. Sure you can expect some storms in life to blow through, but you should have a greater focus that expects the favor of God to abound.
“For His anger endures but a moment; in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
— Psalm 30:5
Choose to see with the eyes of your heart and have an attitude of gratitude:
- Expect to find favor with God and man. EXPECT PROMOTION.
- Expect God to open doors that no man can shut. EXPECT DIVINE CONNECTIONS.
- Expect God’s strength in times of weakness. EXPECT HEALTH.
- Expect with God all things are possible. HAVE FAITH.
- Expect God, the Father of lights, to flow good things your way. EXPECT EXCELLENCE.
- Expect to be blessed to be a blessing. GIVE THANKS.
- Expect to be found when God is searching the whole earth for those whose hearts are towards Him. LOVE GOD.
Solomon tells us in Proverbs 8:35 that those who find wisdom, find life, and shall obtain the favor of the Lord. And we see in Luke 2:52 that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Seek wisdom.
Seize the day; it is a gift. God can turn your trials into blessings, your storms into sweet breezes. Great things happen with faith that starts as tiny as a mustard seed. Seek first the kingdom of God and be about your Father’s business. Expect the favor of God and let Him turn your trials into blessings.
May life overflow with the favor of God and abound with growing prosperity!
Be Blessed to Be a Blessing –
Growing Prosperity – To Be Blessed or Not To Be Blessed? That is the Question!
Why Not Grab Hold of a More Sure Force to Help You Prosper in Life?
However, the sad fact of the matter is that most people have bought into the “luck” system…
They believe that some people are just plain lucky and others are not. And if you don’t happen to be one of the lucky ones, well then, you are just “out of luck” and should never expect to prosper.
Well I’m here to tell you, the force you want present, in order to experience a life of growing prosperity, is the blessing of the God!
Yes, those who are blessed are obviously happy, and that happiness is on top of divine favor, and supernatural opportunities the blessing of God provides.
Do you want to be blessed or take your chance with luck?
Blessed and Highly Favored
How do you get the blessing? It simply requires switching from believing in the “luck” system, to believing in the blessing of God, and putting your faith in God.
First things first. Gaining knowledge and understanding of the blessing of God is required before believing and receiving it. The blessing of the Lord is important to God and He wants to see His children blessed.
In Numbers 6:23-27, He even gave specific instructions on how to bless them. They were told to say the following:
“The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”
After that God tells them He will put His blessing on them.
People used to take their children to Jesus and He would bless them. The last order of business Jesus did on this earth was to give a blessing. (Luke 24:50) God sent Jesus to bless us. (Acts 4:26)
A Blessing of Supernatural Abundance
In order to connect with the blessing of God and get results that manifest in life, it is important to mix your faith with it. God told Abraham he would bless him so great he would be a blessing to the whole world. (Genesis 12:3) Believers inherit the blessing of Abraham by faith. (Galatians 3:8-9) Faith requires believing and obeying the Word of God. Once you believe in the blessing and mix faith with it, it can increase!
“There is no telling where the blessing will end when you believe God.”
— Smith Wigglesworth
“Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:45) God wants us to grab hold of His word in the same way. He wants us to boldly say in faith that we trust Him to do what He has promised. God is pleased when we manifest a faith that holds Him to His word.
The blessing of the Lord is supernatural and gives access to all the resources of heaven. You are called to carry a blessing and bless others. (Genesis 12:2) And remember, others can’t curse what God has blessed. (Numbers 22:12)
What is stopping you from being blessed? The blessing of God is yours if you want it. You can know it is for you and boldly claim it by faith. Get knowledge of it, believe it, speak it, and enjoy the benefits of abundant prosperity from it in all areas of your life; spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially.
May you tap into the blessing of God and experience a life of growing prosperity!

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,
Oh that you would bless me indeed,

Acknowledge the Almighty God with Thanksgiving
Who Was the First U.S. President to Declare a National Day of Thanksgiving?
In light of celebrating Thanksgiving here in the U.S. tomorrow, I thought I’d share a bit of history I ran across recently at Paul’s Primer. (Be sure to check out his site for more details.)
So do you know who the first U.S. President was to declare a National Day of Thanksgiving?
Thursday, November 26th was proclaimed the first Thanksgiving Day by President George Washington on October 3, 1789, and designated by the national government of the United States of America.
“Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor, and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me ‘to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.’” — President George Washington
President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be celebrated on the last Thursday in November of 1863, and since then it has been observed annually in the United States.
The above proclamation by President George Washington is so powerful!
Just think if the majority of us were still practicing this today?
- Acknowledging the providence of the Almighty God
- Obeying His will
- Grateful for His benefits
- Humbly requesting His protection and favor
- Government representatives requesting this of the people
- Public thanksgiving and prayer to God
- Acknowledging with grateful hearts the many favors of the Almighty God
- Thanking God for a peaceable government for our safety and happiness
May we all, with grateful hearts, acknowledge the Almighty God with the Thanksgiving He deserves!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours –
God bless you,

How to Get Favor to Move You from Lack to Abundance!
Discover How You Can Move Into Abundance with These Keys and Confessions to Help Manifest Favor in Your Life!
Do you find yourself withdrawn into a shell of fear, anxiety, frustration, and negativism due to childhood experiences, bad situations, and failures in marriage and life? Have years of sowing negative thoughts into your spirit attracted to you negative, sour, mean, people and situations?
Well, don’t be kept in the dark. Your thoughts are the beginning of your reality. Constantly confessing the negative will put up a road block that prevents favor from coming through to you. Learn to change your attitude toward life and you’ll change your place in it and begin to see abundance.
Live expecting favor and you’ll change your insecurities and disappointments into success. In John 17:22 we are told that the glory that God gave Jesus, He gave to us. How awesome is that? You have the same glory that Jesus had.
Picture the Lord coming to you and placing a crown of glory and honor on your head. With this kind of favor you would live expecting things to happen! Your lack, doubt and insecurities would vanish and turn into powerful confidence.
The simple fact of the matter is: You need to change your attitude and let God’s Word be true in your life. Stand on the truth of His Word and it will set you free from whatever is holding you back. Faith comes by hearing the Word, so speak His words over your life daily. Don’t be one that confesses doubt and failure until you are depressed and broken down.
MAKE BOLD FAVOR CONFESSIONS TO MOVE YOURSELF INTO ABUNDANCE:
- God Makes His Face to Shine Upon Me Today and He is Gracious to Me
- I Have God’s Special Favor on Me Today and I Prosper
- God Gives Me Abundance of Favor
- I Have Favor with God and All Men
- God is Doing Exceedingly Abundantly Above All That I Ask or Think
- I Am Blessed to Be a Blessing to Others
- God is Pouring the Spirit of Favor on Me Today
Repeat these confessions until they are deposited into your spirit. Remember, nothing is impossible with God! Learn to walk in the law of God’s favor and abundance. It is available for everyone. Choose to receive it.
May you experience growing prosperity and favor and move into your desired abundant life!
