Growing Prosperity: Can Giving Be The Secret to Abundant and Joyful Living?

Growing Prosperity: Can Giving Be The Secret to Abundant and Joyful Living?

Discover the Giving Secret

Growing Prosperity Giving SecretGrowing prosperity includes abundant and joyful living.

The secret in the growing prosperity equation is giving.

Giving maintains a generous heart.

A generous heart is the heart of God;

and those with a generous spirit are blessed with

an abundance of peace and joy.

“God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7

Generous Giving

Generosity, as a way of life, should be a given for Christian believers. Why? Because having freely received we should have a heart to freely give. (Matthew 10:8) Generous giving should not be a religious duty, but a joyful response to God’s saving grace.

“He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
— Romans 8:32

We should have an attitude of joy when giving, knowing the gracious gift the Lord has given us.

Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. (Deuteronomy 15:10)

Giving Is The Cure For Greed

Greed hardens the heart and takes one’s eyes off the Lord and puts it on money and possessions. This ultimately leads to unhappiness and self-destruction.

Giving allows a person to choose where they want their heart to be. Your heart follows your money. Why not let your heart be involved in godly and good things?

“Where your treasure is, their will your heart be also.”
— Luke 12:34

We are warned by Paul, in 1 Timothy 6:17-19, not to be arrogant and put hope in wealth, which is uncertain, but to put our hope in God. It is God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. We are told do good and be generous and willing to share. This will not only lay up treasures in heaven, but let us take hold of the life that is truly life.

Give Abundantly – Reap Abundantly

Giving and receiving go hand-in-hand. Giving opens the door to receiving. When we give generously and abundantly we reap abundantly.

  • Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. (2 Corinthians 9:6-9)
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. (Luke 6:38)
  • There is one who scatters, yet increases more…The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. (Proverbs 11: 24-25)
  • He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done. (Proverbs 19:17)

When we give, we reap the joy of sharing! Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

Blessed To Be A Blessing

When God prospers and blesses us, it is so that we can in turn be a blessing and give to others.

“I will bless you… and you will be a blessing.”
— Genesis 12:2

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and so that your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:10-11)

God not only allows us to enjoy our blessings, but He wants us to enjoy them. But remember, the main reason God blesses us is so that we may be a blessing to others. You will be amazed how much God will bless you if you are simply willing to be a channel of blessings for others.

Bottom line: Give. Give a little or give a lot as you are able. Give wisely and with a cheerful heart. Let the secret of giving bless you with an abundance of peace and joy in your life.

May God continue to bless you as you continue to be a blessing to others and abound in growing prosperity!

Be Blessed to Be a Blessing –

Abundance of Joy – 7 Things You Must Know to Overcome a Depressive Spirit!

Abundance of Joy – 7 Things You Must Know to Overcome a Depressive Spirit!

How to Keep the Abundant Joy of the Lord Flowing in Your Life

Abundance of JoyAbundance of joy is available for all.

Unfortunately many people struggle

day-to-day with a depressive spirit.

Yes, there are those who naturally find it

easy to go about their days light-hearted and joyful.

However, for most of us, we have to learn through the Word

how to keep the abundant joy of the Lord flowing in our lives.

Living in joy is the only way to live. If you agree, and you’re ready to say good-bye to a depressive spirit, then continue reading to get yourself started today.

7 Things You Must Know to Replace a Depressive Spirit with an Abundance of Joy:

1. In Times of Tribulation, Joy Does Not Have to Leave You

You have a choice to either trust God or worry; choose joy or anxiety. Either way you’ll be confronted with trouble. Jesus said it is possible to be in peace and of good cheer, even in the midst of tribulation, because He has overcome the world.

“In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33

Really it’s totally up to you. Just because you have trouble doesn’t mean you have to lose your joy. You can choose to be full of cheer, because you know that Jesus has already overcome.

2. You Can Laugh at Trouble, Rather Than Align Yourself With It

Your reactions to the storms of life are what will determine your success. If you give in to trouble and begin rehearsing the problems, the joy of the Lord in your life will suddenly be replaced with worry and anxiety. To keep your joy, you must major on the promises of God and not the problems of this world.

3. Every Human on Earth is Searching for Joy

Joy is one thing everyone wants out of life. If you choose to live in joy, others will be literally drawn to you. You will become like a magnet for the depressed and brokenhearted who are looking for hope. Joy is contagious.

Living in the joy of the Lord is one of the most effective ways to reach others, share the love of Christ, and be blessed to be a blessing.

4. God Forgives and Wants You to Start Living in Joy Again

God is waiting to forgive those who repent and ask for forgiveness. He wants you to get back up and start living in joy again. It is the devil that condemns and shames you with your past.

Resist thoughts of failure and refill yourself with joy by getting in the Word and dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.

5. Joy Can Keep You Living Well

The healing power of joy works like medicine in your body.

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”
— Proverbs 17:22

Your body wasn’t created to live worrying about every little thing. You were created to walk in the joy of the Lord every day of your life. His joy can keep you living well.

6. Joy Gives Strength

Joy is enthusiastic and empowering. The joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) Lose your joy and you’ll lose your strength and enthusiasm.

7. In God’s Presence is Fullness of Joy

The joy of the Lord springs out of a solid relationship with the living God. Much is manifested from a solid enthusiastic relationship with Him. God has blessed us abundantly and we have no place to complain, but only to give thanks.

“You will show me the path of life: in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
— Psalm 16:11

So there you have it: When we begin to release the power of the Word in our life, we begin to overcome a depressive spirit with the abundant joy of the Lord flowing in our lives.

May you live a life flowing with abundant joy and growing prosperity!

God bless you –

Brenda

Growing Prosperity – What Does the Attitude of Obedience Have to Do With Prospering?

Growing Prosperity – What Does the Attitude of Obedience Have to Do With Prospering?

The Heart of Obedience

Willing Obedient HeartGrowing prosperity is the result of obediently taking the right action steps that lead to abundance.

Manifestation also comes a whole lot quicker and easier when obedience is combined with the right attitude.

How about we take a look at the attitude of obedience?

We know the blessing of God follows obedience to His Word, but the attitude you have in your heart is important too.

The Attitude of Obedience

Many people obey God’s commands but they do it with a bad attitude. 🙁

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”
— Isaiah 1:19

Notice this verse also includes our willingness be mixed with our obedience; in order to prosper and receive abundance. When we step out and act in obedience to the Word of God, regardless of what area, we should do so with a cheerful heart. 🙂

God loves a cheerful giver! (2 Corinthians 9:7)

If you are giving tithes and offerings, or honoring your father and mother, or worshipping God, or walking in love, or forgiving, or praying, it should be done with a positive and willing attitude. When we do what the Bible says we will eat the good of the land.

The opposite side of cheerful obedience is to be grudging or unwilling. The person who obeys, but has a wrong attitude receives a different reward. Keep in mind; we do not have an excuse to disobey. We simply need to adjust the attitude of our heart to line up with our obedience.

Here is some good news: The Lord searches the whole earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9) Perfect here means to have a completely willing heart before God.

Now is the time to start putting this into action. Let’s choose today to not only obey God, but to keep a right attitude when we do. God can do something with us when we have a willing heart. At this very moment He is searching to show himself strong on our behalf and help us prosper and abound.

May your willingness and obedience fill your life with growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

How to Get Happy with 7 Quick and Easy Tips to Brighten Your Spirit!

Happiness – How to Get Happy with 7 Quick and Easy Tips to Brighten Your Spirit!

Discover the Happy Life!

Happy Spirit Lifting Power from God!Happiness is possible for everyone. Yet, like most things in life it does not come automatically. Have you been through some tragic events in life that seem to have robbed your happiness? Even after the experiences are past, your mind can be filled with negative thoughts that leave no room for happiness.

Do you want to be happy? Then I’ll be honest with you, it will require some work on your part. But believe me, you are worth the effort!

If you want to be happy, you first have to choose to be.

Once you decide to live happy, then start acting like it. Some individuals are naturally more cheerful and just happy-go-lucky all the time.  🙂

On the other side of the spectrum, it can be an almost battle for others to even crack a smile. 🙁

Regardless of where you fall on the happiness scale, these quick and easy tips are sure to brighten your spirit.

How to Get Happy with 7 Quick & Easy Tips:

1.) Be a Thankful Person. Start and end your day giving thanks. Always be mindful of the good in your life and let that fill your thoughts. It is easier to be happy if you are a thankful person.

2.) Monitor Your In Take. What do you watch, read, and listen to? What you take in, is what you are going to put out.

You’ll have to admit it is hard to be happy and upbeat if you are constantly watching the ‘doom and gloom’ on the news. So take in things that are going to lift your spirit. We all know the right song can put a skip in your step.  A funny movie will put a smile on your face.

3.) Live a Healthy Lifestyle. Your physical health plays a key role in your mental health and personal self-image. There is much taught on diet, exercise, nutrition, sleeping habits, etcetera. These things are all vital to how we feel. They must be kept in balance to make it easier to live happy.

4.) Discover Your Passion. So what are you passionate about? Passion gives an extreme power boost to your spirit. Discover what you are passionate about and pursue it.

The painter must paint. The writer must write. Doing what you are passionate about in life brings great happiness (to you and others).

5.) Help Others. Look around you and notice the needs of others. Find ways to help them. Learn to serve. As you look outside of yourself and start helping others, you’ll experience long lasting happiness.

Put some cheerfulness and generosity into someone else’s life. Like they say, ‘what goes around comes around’.

6.) Keep Things in Perspective. If today is not feeling so happy, just remember that this too shall pass. Tomorrow is a new day. We all go through seasons and the storms of life blow through. That is just life. But after the clouds blow past, the sun shines again. So stay determined to keep your happiness.

7.) Tap Into the Source of Happiness. Seek God and His presence daily. He is the abundant source that offers more than happiness, but joy everlasting. When you have a relationship with Him, Jesus says the kingdom of God lives within you. (Luke 17:21)

When we tap into the power He has put within us, our faces should be so lighted up that we give the impression to everybody that we just came into possession of some great, good fortune that made us extremely happy! Like a poor person who struggled all their life that has now become heir of a great fortune.

God’s children ought to look happy.

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”
– Philippians 4:4

It’s no secret, happiness is one of the great essentials to living the good life and it is to be realized here and now. Love, laugh, smile, dance, and be glad often. It is possible for everyone to have peace within themselves and enjoy true happiness.

May you continue to experience a life of happiness and growing prosperity!

Brenda
