New Year, Fresh Start – 7 Exit Tips to Move You into the New Year with a Clean Slate!

New Year, Fresh Start – 7 Exit Tips to Move You into the New Year with a Clean Slate!

Out With the Old and In With the New

New Year Fresh StartA new year means a new start.

But first we need to look at the ‘out with the old’

before we look at the ‘in with the new.’

Why not start the New Year with a clean slate?

We all have skeletons in our closets;

those unpleasant things we are ashamed of

and hope nobody discovers about us.

But God can clean up our closets and wipe the slate clean.

He can give us a fresh new start and a clean slate in life so that we no longer care if others find out about our past, because God has cleaned it up and made all things new.

“Old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

7 Exit Tips for the Year:

1. Take an Account of the Past Year

Make note of the people that have done you wrong and FORGIVE everyone of them. Release them, loose them, let them go, and let it drop.

Don’t let your anger cause you to sin, or let the sun go down on your wrath. (Eph 4:26) Remember, forgiveness does not condone behavior, but a lack of forgiveness hurts you. And if you don’t forgive others you hold yourself in unforgiveness. (Matt 6:14-15)

2. Forgive Yourself

Confess your sin and God will forgive you. (1 John 1:9) We are not to sin, but if we do, we have an advocate with the Father; because Jesus is righteous we are righteous in Him.

If God will forgive us, but we won’t, that is extreme arrogance and pride.

3. Examine Yourself

Ask yourself, “Where am I at in my faith?”

“Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves.”
— 2 Corinthians 13:5

4. Repent

Repent means to turn from our ways and change for the better. Repentance is a basic principle of the doctrine of Christ. Repent and face the New Year renewed.

5. Commit to Forget the Past

“Forget those things which are behind and reach for those things which are ahead.”
— Philippians 3:13

Let God wash away your sins and any heavy burden of guilt that you have been carrying with it. Leave them in the past and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil 3:14)

6. Commit to Not Live on Past Successes

Don’t live on yesterday’s successes. Today is a new day and a new year is upon us; keep pressing forward. God does not want us to live on yesterday’s manna.

Don’t take record of the past. (Phil 3:8) Be busy about your Father’s business today. Commit to hunger after God’s Word daily.

7. Bury Past Events that Need to be Buried

Sometimes we need to bury past events.

“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
— Hebrews 12:1-2

Before we start the race we have to first drop the weights holding us down. Strife, gossip, worry, fear, pride, arrogance, racism are just some of the many weights.

Now what? Take some time to let God help you exit the year with a clean slate. Let Him fill your New Year with love, joy, hope, peace, power, prosperity, and victory.

May you have a blessed and Happy New Year filled with growing prosperity!

Cheers,
Brenda

Self-Confidence – Do You Possess the Essential Success Power of Believing in Yourself?

Self-Confidence – Do You Possess the Essential Success Power of Believing in Yourself?

Renew Your Confidence Energy Level Daily!

Self-Confidence Success Power - Believe In Yourself!Self-confidence is an essential,

powerful energy that will help you…

succeed at whatever you do.

A lack of confidence hinders success.

Believing in yourself and building yourself up regularly will provide great rewards in life.

Speak Well of Yourself

How do you know if you lack confidence? Listen to how you talk. What do you say about yourself to yourself?

Pay attention to how you are speaking and strive to always speak well of yourself. Others may say you are egotistical, but that’s not true. We are simply being imitators of Jesus and He didn’t speak badly of Himself.

Others will try to influence us to say negative things about ourselves because they don’t believe or understand us. But we should be like Jesus; who spoke well of Himself, even on the bad days, because He knew who He was.

Confidence in Who You Are

Do you know who you are? Have you grasped the understanding that if you are a child of God, that God lives in you? He has put a tremendous amount of ability inside of you.

Too often we look at our exterior and think only of the limitations of our brain and body. However, God looks at our spirit. And He has given us a big spirit. It is our spirit that is made new and so big that there is plenty of room to house the God of more than enough!

Confidence will come when you know who you are in Christ. That confidence will spill over into your speech.

Energy Boost for Confidence and Success

Do you want to be successful, stay motivated, and keep up your momentum? Then be one of the people who speak well of themselves.

Renew your confidence and energy level by speaking what the Word of God says about you. Speak out loud to yourself and in front of the mirror if you need to. Do it every morning and continually renew your mind to the thoughts God has of you in His Word.

Give yourself a charge and build your confidence level up regularly. Refuse to believe the lies and give them no place. Don’t let things like “I can’t”, or “I’m just this or that…” come out of your mouth.

Believe in Yourself

Whatever you do, build yourself up about it and you’ll do a lot better. When you have confidence, others pick up on that positive energy and are drawn to you.

Believe in who you are and the abilities you have been given. Speak well of yourself to yourself. Don’t let the lies rule your thoughts when you have a bad day. Remember, double-minded people can’t be confident because they are too busy trying to figure out what they believe.

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”
— Matthew 12:25

If you are inwardly divided, you can’t give out the positive energy that makes people want to be around you. Confidence exudes strength, energy, and a joy for life.

Truth is: It is easy to be confident when you know that the almighty God lives inside you. You can be a light to the world. Believe in yourself and the God who lives inside you, and move forward with unwavering confidence in His vision for your life.

May your self-confidence grow daily and your life be filled with growing prosperity!

Abundant Living – Prosperity Destroys Fools! So Why Don’t You Wise Up and Prosper?

Abundant Living – Prosperity Destroys Fools! So Why Don’t You Wise Up and Prosper?

How to Use Your Confession to Prosper and Manifest the Abundance of God

Wise Abundant LivingAbundant living requires handling the affairs of life wisely.

Yes, I know, prosperity occasionally falls in the laps of

some individuals; for example, they may get an unexpected

inheritance or win the lottery.

However, we all know that IF these individuals are fools,

the prosperity will destroy them.

Prosperity Destroys Fools

“The prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoever hearkens unto Me shall dwell safely.”
— Proverbs 1:32-33

Some argue against being prosperous, and their reason is that ‘prosperity will destroy you.’ But the Bible says it will destroy a fool. So don’t be a fool.

How do we keep from being fools? Joshua 1:8 tells us that if we follow God’s method and confess the Word of God, then we will make our way prosperous, and deal wisely in all the affairs of life and have good success.

Wise Up and Prosper

Prosperity is a blessing, if it is acquired God’s way. A powerful way of keeping in line with God’s methods and activating His Word is through confessing it.

Now, sometimes people hear this and get crazy ideas about what this means. But all confessing really means is, speaking the Word of God out loud so you can hear yourself saying it. In order for us to succeed we must confess it out loud. This allows us to hear our own voices and that brings faith, because faith comes by hearing.

As we confess and affirm the Word of God, what we are doing is setting goals, and planting seeds in our heart. How can we expect to get something or somewhere if we don’t know what we want or where we are going? We establish God’s goals with His principles when we confess the Word of God. This in turn puts us on track to manifesting the abundance of God in our lives as the planted seeds soon become growing prosperity.

Positive Confessions for Abundant Living

Confessing what the Word of God says about you will change your life. Even the most negative people have gotten results after only putting this into practice for a few short months.

Keep in mind, when you first start speaking some of the things God says about you, you may feel like it’s the biggest lie that ever came out of your mouth. But the Word of God reflects the way He sees us, and confessing it helps us see and think about ourselves the same way God does.

Find a truth in God’s Word that pertains to your situation and make it into a confession. For example:

‘My God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and whatever I do prospers, for I am like a tree planted by the rivers of living water.’
(Philippians 4:19, Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 1:3)

It’s hard to imagine the impact this has on a person until they’ve confessed it every day for at least a month. Confessing the truth of the Word is calling things that are not as though they were and calling them into manifestation. Allow the will of God concerning you to manifest in your life.

So go ahead; put this to the test right away. God’s Word is living and powerful and when confessed will change you. The wisdom of God will empower you to handle all the affairs of life wisely so you can manifest and enjoy abundant living.

May you wise up to God’s ways and live a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

How Does Christian Meditation Compare to Other Forms of Meditation?

How Does Christian Meditation Compare to Other Forms of Meditation?

Traditional Forms of Meditation vs. Christian Meditation

Christian Meditation on the Word of GodChristian meditation is based on the Word of God.

It is the Word of God that saves, delivers, instructs, and

empowers, believers to live a successful life.

There are some key differences between

traditional forms of meditation and Christian meditation:

Meditation on the Living Word of God

The Bible is the foundation and source of life for every Christian believer. The truths of the scriptures are the object of their meditation. Meditating on God’s Word manifests success. The Word of God is full of living power. (Hebrews 4:12) God’s Words are spirit and they are life. (John 6:63) It is through His words that God spoke creation into existence.

“In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
— John 1:1

Christian believers focus their meditation on God Most High.

In traditional meditation, the focus is on self. The object of focus may be referred to as the “higher self” or spiritual self. A physical item, such as an idol may be used as a representative object to focus on. Or a word or sound may be the object of focus while practicing traditional meditation.

Meditation Power with the Word of God

Meditation, for the Christian believer, is practiced so that their hearts and minds can be filled with biblical truths. It is a way to renew their minds and be transformed into the image of Christ. It helps them become more like Christ daily.

The Christian meditator fills their thoughts with the promises of God, and the ways of God, by meditating on His Word. Revelation of His truths connects and draws them closer into fellowship with the living God. Then, action taken on revealed biblical truths, manifests success and prosperity in their lives.

The traditional meditator seeks to empty their thoughts by focusing on a simple mantra until they have cleared their consciousness of all thought as much as possible. The goal is to achieve peace and relaxation.

Reaching and tapping into one’s higher self may result in a greater conscious level of peace, awareness, and relaxation. Yet even at the peak of one’s highest level, they are nothing without God.

“In Him we live, and move, and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28

It is God, the creator of the heavens and earth, who is the source of all; the beginning and the end. The Word of the Lord endures forever. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being. It is with God that all things are possible and it is with God that nothing is impossible.

Now that you know this: Why not open the Word of God and meditate on His promises and allow them to manifest in your life?

God bless you always,

Yes, You Can Thrive and Live a Long Abundant and Prosperous Life!

Yes, You Can Thrive and Live a Long Abundant and Prosperous Life!

Growing Prosperity – Thrive, Prosper, Flourish and Have Good Success

Flourish and Thrive like the Palm TreeGrowing prosperity is something that is…

possible in every area of life.

God’s desire is that we thrive in life;

not just survive.

However, to get off the treadmill going nowhere will require making the right choices moving forward.

Thrive, Prosper, and Flourish

Thrive is defined as: to make steady progress, to prosper, to grow vigorously, and to flourish. If we are willing to follow the instructions and plans God has given us we will thrive. It is possible to have growing prosperity and flourish in any area of life.

Thriving Crowd or Surviving Crowd?

If we want to get out of survival mode and begin to thrive, then a key choice we need to make is to not hang out with the wrong crowd. We ultimately become like the company we keep.

Do you continually surround yourself with unmotivated, negative minded people that do not thrive? If so, you can’t be surprised if you simply survive in life.

Hanging out continually with the wrong crowd will stunt your growth and rob you of the power to prosper and reach your greatest potential. As you become more determined to follow God’s plan you’ll soon find you become more attracted to those who are serious about their walk with God.

Prosper and Have Good Success

God wants to reveal every good path to you and He has provided sound wisdom that will enable you to live up to your full potential. However, it is up to you to study and meditate His Word regularly…

Then as you put those words of wisdom into practice you will make your way prosperous and have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

When we plant ourselves firmly in God’s Word, we tap into His streams of living water and find that everything we do is fruitful. So instead of running on a treadmill going nowhere and watching things around us wither, everything we do will prosper. (Psalm 1:3)

Yes, you can move out of survival mode and be on your way to thriving. Regardless of your current situation, your future is bright and waiting for you to flourish mightily.

God’s plan is for you to be like those described in Psalm 92:12-14 and flourish like a palm tree in the courts of our God and remain fruitful in old age.

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.” — Psalm 92:12-14

The Good Life Is For You!

Regardless of your background or age, you can grow vigorously and live out God’s good plan for your life. If you refuse to hang out with the wrong crowd and are determined to feed on God’s Word, you can expect to thrive.

It may not come overnight, but if you are faithful to live by the Word of God you can live a long and fruitful life.

Decide today. Make the choice to thrive and not just survive. Don’t get stuck on the treadmills of life that want to steal God’s good plan for you. You were created to win. Yes, you can thrive and live a long, abundant, prosperous life.

May you thrive and flourish in the Word of God and live a long life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Self-Growth – Uncovering the Great Power of Possibilities Within! Part 2 of 2

Self-Growth – Uncovering the Great Power of Possibilities Within! Part 2 of 2

Self-discovery by Finding the Presence of God Within!

Finding the Presence of God WithinThe following are words of wisdom and encouragement,

from Orison Swett Marden.

They are excerpts from chapter 7 “How to Find Oneself”

from the book “How to Get What You Want.”

Although written back in 1917,

these words still hold great insight and the ability to stir us up and check our current progress in life.

This is part 2 of 2 for men and women who strive to make the most of their lives and never stop growing on their journey through life.

Excerpts from “How to Find Oneself” by Orison Swett Marden:

Self-discovery is simply a question of finding the presence of God within ourselves.

When we become conscious that the kingdom of God is within us it becomes a great self-illuminator, because it takes us back to our source, connects us with infinite life, with the great cosmic heart of the universe. It is a trolley pole which connects us with the mighty current of infinite power, and then our life problems seem easy because we are not pushing our car ourselves. God does that.

Many people had never really met themselves until they became acquainted with the reality of their connection to the Creator. That is, they had never up to that time found the best part of themselves.

They had previously been getting their living by their weak faculties instead of their strong ones. They had been in the position of people living in poverty on a little corner of their vast estate, ignorant that there were great deposits of undiscovered, unmined wealth.

The possibilities of mental expansion, enlargement of vision, quickening of the mental faculties, increasing the efficiency,—in other words, the possibilities of self-discovery are almost unbelievable.

We find ourselves in very different ways. Struggling with difficulties, disappointments, failures, great responsibilities, has been the means of recalling many human beings to themselves.

The greatest of their latent possibilities lies so deep in some natures that it takes the impact of a tremendous emergency, a great life, or national crisis to call it out. Any ordinary event, the easy way of prosperity, will not do it; it must be something which shakes them to the very center of their being and knocks out from under them every support.

They must feel that they have nothing to lean upon but the creative power within—only the God who made them.

So long as there is no supreme call made on the great within of them they never know their own resources. On the other hand the structure of many a divine success has risen out of the ashes of a burned fortune or apparently ruined hopes.

Like the plants which must be crushed before they will reveal their sweetest fragrance, or their beneficent properties, many people never reveal the sweetest thing in them until they are crushed by some great sorrow.

They go through half a life or more unconscious of the richness which lies buried within them, when suddenly some great grief, some overwhelming misfortune reveals a wealth of personality, and of power which not even those who knew them best dreamed they possessed.

Many people pass their fiftieth, even their sixtieth milestone, before they find themselves, before something happens which unlocks a new door in the great within of themselves and reveals new powers, new resources, of which they had never before been conscious.

Then in a few years after their discovery they have redeemed half a lifetime of ineffectiveness.

We often hear men and women who have found themselves tell of the particular things which awakened their ambition; the accident, the sorrow, the emergency, the book, the suggestion, the encouraging friend, which first gave them a glimpse of their own possibilities, uncovered powers which they never before dreamed they possessed.

If all of the people who have done things worthwhile in the world would only give an account of how they were awakened, tell of the things that had aroused their ambition,—the incident, the circumstance, the book, the lecture, the sermon, the advice, or the catastrophe, the failures, the crisis, the emergency, the afflictions, the losses in their lives, what a wonderful help it would be to the strugglers who are conscious that they have locked up within them forces which have not been aroused and which theycannot seem to get hold of.

The man who can write a book that will enable people to discover their unused assets will do an incalculable service to humanity.

“Great masters are they who help you to find yourself, the others simply find you.”
— Dr. Frank Crane

There are a multitude of things which assist our self-discovery. Keeping our minds in a positive, creative condition; keeping ourselves physically at the top of our condition, in perfect health; maintaining mental poise, a cheerful, happy mental attitude, by keeping our minds free from fear and worry and anxiety,—all of these things are great aids to self-discovery.

And there is no secret about any of these things.

Self-confidence is a potent self-discoverer. Distrust, self-depreciation closes the doors to the locked-up potencies and powers within. Faith opens the door and releases them.

Seek every possible experience which seems to open up your nature and release new force.

For instance, great lovers of music after listening to a wonderful voice, or going to an opera, feel something inside of them released, something which had been locked up before, something which they never really knew they possessed until then.

If you would get at your hidden resources, stimulate your growth and your power, you must be continually improving yourself somewhere; increasing your intelligence by closer and keener observation, by the constant study of men and things, the broadening of your mental and spiritual outlook, the getting away from self and the enlarging of your sphere of service and helpfulness.

We are all in a continuous process of development, and, as yet, strangers to the immense possibilities that sleep in the great within of ourselves. Uncovering these possibilities, finding our resources, should be the great object of every human being.

“Know thyself!” This is really the chief business of man—to learn to know himself, to realize the power that is his through his inseparable union with his Creator.

The end of part 2 of 2.

Self-Growth – Uncovering the Great Power of Possibilities Within! Part 1 of 2

The Great Secret the Creator Put in Our Hands at Birth!

Secret, Sealed message from The CreatorFall is in the air and children are heading back to school.

This is a great time of year to remind all of us,

young and old, in school or out of school,

that men and women who are trying to

make the most of their lives,

never stop growing on their journey through life.

The following are words of wisdom and encouragement from Orison Swett Marden. They are excerpts from chapter 7 “How to Find Oneself” from the book “How to Get What You Want.”  Although written back in 1917, these words still hold great insight and the ability to stir us up and check our current progress in life.

Excerpts from “How to Find Oneself” by Orison Swett Marden:

One of the most difficult things in the world is to get people to realize the extent of their latent powers, to believe in their own bigness, in their own possibilities.

The reason is that they see only a part of themselves, because they have only partially discovered themselves.

“Each of us has resources of which he does not dream.”
— Professor William James

If we could only turn a spiritual X-ray on ourselves most of us would find powers and potencies in the great within of us which may not have gotten even to their germinating stage.

There is probably not a living being who would not be amazed if he could see unfolded in panorama all of the potentialities within him, if he could only glimpse the man he might be.

He would say, “These remarkable success qualities belong to someone who has achieved distinction, not to an unknown person like me.”

What you are actually doing may be a dwarfed thing compared with the giant achievement you are capable of. It is not what you have done, but what you long to do, what you feel capable of doing that will, if you struggle to express your ideal, count most.

Up to this time you may have been seriously hampered or dwarfed in your development. All sorts of things may have happened to the possible man, or the possible woman in you, to limit its growth, to restrict it, to impoverish it.

But it is that superb thing that is possible to you, the thing which the Creator sent you here to do that you must strive to express.

In the great within of yourself there may be vast powers which you have never called out. What masterfulness, what vast reserves of helpfulness, inspiration, and encouragement may still lie uncovered within you!

You doubt that there is anything of the kind? But you do not know.

Many a man has carried locked up within himself for more than half a century the germs of a mighty genius without even guessing at it. There are multitudes of men and women all over the world who are as ignorant of their possibilities, of their hidden success assets.

“Few men find themselves before they die.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Many carry with them to their graves undiscovered continents of ability. The great majority die without developing their possible efficiency of hand, or tongue, or of brain; without developing any of the special gifts locked up in the great within of themselves.

Most of us die with the great secret, with the sealed message which the Creator put in our hands at birth, still unread, because we have never learned how to open or how to read it.

How can you be sure that you have not a lot of this ability you long for locked up in yourself?

If you have not tried your strength, how do you know what you may be able to do? You may have more ability slumbering within you than you dream of.

Why waste your precious time thinking about other people’s genius? Why not unlock your own, see what you have, bring it out into the light and develop it?

When we know that even the great majority of men whom we call successful use only a comparatively small part of their ability because they never find all of themselves, why should any of us put a narrow limit to our possibilities, remain paupers in achievement when we might be princes?

We set our own limitations.

There are enough powers, enough resources in the minds of the people in the great failure army today to revolutionize the world if their sleeping potencies could be aroused; if they could only be made to believe in themselves.

If they could only learn how to enter into the secret depths of their nature, to get hold of themselves, to arouse latent qualities and powers, they could do marvelous things. The great problem is to know how to get at the force in the great within of ourselves and to put it to work to the best advantage.

For whether life shall be a success or a failure depends upon the call we make on our resources, the extent to which we develop all our possibilities.

We don’t know what we can do until we try, and unused faculties never grow or strengthen.

Everywhere we see starved, stunted lives, people who have discovered but little bits of themselves, little patches cleared up here and there in the great wilderness of their possibilities. They couldn’t believe in their inherent greatness.

They couldn’t realize that they were born into this world to do a certain work; and that to do that work they would need every bit of power they could develop.

The average youth starting out in life has no means of knowing what his total assets are.

He sees only the assets that lie on the surface, and if he is not instructed how to find those that are deep down below the surface, if he does not get into the right environment, if he does not make a call on the divinity within him, he may never develop the man it is possible for him to be.

The end of part 1 of 2…

Confess Success – God Declares You Prosperous and Successful! Do You?

Confess Success – God Declares You Prosperous and Successful! Do You?

Why Not Agree with God and Confess His Good Success on Your Life?

Prosperous success requires –

having a mindset that strives for success.

God wants you to be successful in all that you do.

God declares you prosperous and successful…

so begin to agree with God’s Word.

Be a person of the Word; speak the Word.

Think and Imagine Success

If we want to stay in a place of growing prosperity and constant success we must diligently seek God and His presence at all times. (Ecclesiastes 8:12) The thoughts and images that we allow God’s Word to create inside of us are powerful forces that cause us to succeed in every part of life – spiritually, physically, and financially.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” — Joshua 1:8

Meditating and thinking on God’s positive, life-filled words have the power to change your life.

Speak Success

Having prosperous success means regularly speaking and confessing God’s Word. His word will manifest results, but we have to speak it. We can’t expect a life of growing prosperity while we constantly speak the opposite of God’s Word and confess things such as; ‘Nothing I ever do works out.’

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” — Job 22:28

Keep in mind: As you regularly speak God’s words of truth, your negative thoughts of doubt will gradually fade.

Confess and Declare Success

Take time daily to confess and declare over your life the same things that God declares over you. The following is a sample confession to get you started:

‘I declare the good success of God on my life. I confess that I have a spirit of faithfulness, wisdom, diligence and giving. I give bountifully and I reap bountifully. I am blessed coming in and blessed going out. God has given me power to be successful. The light and favor of God are shining on me and I am victory minded in everything I do. I am a winner, an overcomer, and I triumph and live successful to the glory of God. Everything I put my hand to prospers. Success is overtaking me in Jesus’ name.’

Believe me. Once you start to keep God first place in your life, you can expect His blessings. God declares you successful, so begin to agree with the Word of God, observe to do it and make your way prosperous.

May you declare the success of God on your life and live in growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

God bless you always –
Cheers,
Brenda
