How Can Christian Meditation Guide You Into the Secret Place of the Most High God?

How Can Christian Meditation Guide You Into the Secret Place of the Most High God?

Abundant Power is Available when You Meditate on the Living Word of God!

Christian Meditation on the Most High GodChristian meditation is based on a desire…

to commune with,

to have relationship with, and

to be united in love with God.

Have you ever wondered how some believers manage to dwell in the presence of, in that secret place of, the most High God?

Meditation on God’s Word turns our minds away from the everyday affairs of life and toward Him. Blessed are those who discover and tap into the abundant divine power available in the living Word of God!

Our Place By The Father

There is a place by the Father God for every believer. We need to find our place and live in it. The Word of God tells us who we are, where our place is, and how to live in it. In the presence of God we can be shaped and transformed into His image.

“He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1

Through meditation in God’s Word we are able to dwell in the secret place of the most High God.

Christian meditation is at the heart of the Gospel and should also be for every believer. We were created for relationship and love, not only with each other but supremely with God.  As believers we are one with the Lord, just as Jesus said “I and the Father are one.” (John 17:21-23)

“That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in Me, and I in You,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe
that You have sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me
I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one;
and that the world may know that You have sent Me,
and have loved them, as You have loved Me.”
— John 17: 21-23

A Spiritual Connection to God

Christian meditation is way of experiencing God beyond what the mind can grasp. Meditation allows the nourishing richness and revelation of God’s love to flow into the deep places of our heart.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10

Meditation provides a way to connect into the heart of God’s love and acceptance. It is our spiritual connection to the One who is our heart’s true home. When we meditate on the Word of God, we are able to step into the blessings He has provided for us and experience spiritual refreshment and intimacy with Him.

In meditation, our relationship with God deepens.  And as we rest in our relationship, He works His love in our heart, drawing us deeper and closer to Him. As His light shines on us, we become more and more the person we were created to be.

It is no secret: Christian meditation on the Word of God strengthens our relationship with Him and has the power to transform our lives. Begin meditating on God’s Word today, and start strengthening your relationship with Him.

Are you ready to move yourself into the secret place of the most High God through Christian Meditation?

God bless you always,

Growing Prosperity – Get Yourself Prepared to Prosper!

Growing Prosperity – Get Yourself Prepared to Prosper!

Grow Financially as You Grow Spiritually

Grow Financially as you Grow SpirituallyGrowing prosperity is –

a process that…

requires starting at the beginning.

This means we have to prepare to prosper.

First we have to lay the foundation…

and then build on it.

Build a Strong Foundation to Prosper

Think about it. You would never try to build a house without first laying a foundation. It doesn’t matter how excited you are to finish the house so you can buy furniture and decorate, you must take time to put down a solid foundation first. Otherwise, you’ll soon find you’re living in a house so unstable, it comes tumbling down.

Now, that’s simple advice, isn’t it? Anyone with a little common sense knows it.

Yet why is it then, that in the spiritual realm, people make that mistake over and over?

We so often get excited when we see a blessing God has promised us in His Word. And we are so eager to have it, that we can find ourselves ignoring the foundational basics of godly living and pursue just that one thing.

This seems to be especially true in the area of prosperity. Out of desperation for a quick financial fix, people often pull a few prosperity promises out of the Bible and try to believe them, but without allowing God to change anything else in their lives.

Then of course, when it doesn’t work, those same people end up disappointed. And many will also then come to the conclusion that it just wasn’t God’s will for them to prosper.

Grow Financially as You Grow Spiritually

In preparing to prosper we need to come to the understanding that it is God’s will for all of His children to prosper.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” — 3 John 2

Notice that this verse doesn’t just say ‘I want you to prosper.’ But it says, ‘I want you to prosper as your soul prospers.’ Financial prosperity is tied to the prosperity of our mind, will, and emotions.

We grow financially as we grow spiritually. How can we expect to handle financial prosperity without being spiritually mature? God knows how dangerous it is to put great wealth into the hands of someone who is too spiritually immature to handle it.

“The Prosperity of fools shall destroy them.” — Proverbs 1:32

You don’t have to look far to see evidence of that fact in the lives of people who have acquired financial riches apart from God and His ways. Most of the time, such riches just help people die younger and in more misery than they would have if they had been poor.

Why? Because they use their wealth to sin in greater measure. They often use their money to buy illegal and addictive substances and pay for an immoral lifestyle that eventually destroys them. So, when people gain wealth and use it to sin, it results in doing them more harm than good.

In light of this, it’s easy to see why God wants us to increase financially as we increase spiritually. In order for our prosperity to bring us blessing and not harm, we need to outgrow our fleshly foolishness.

Get Busy Growing and Prosper

“Okay, okay,” you say, “But I need financial help fast!”

Then quickly get busy growing and building your foundation for prosperity.

How? By finding out what God says in His Word and doing it. You see, the foundation of prosperity is a continual lifestyle built on the Word of God. It is doing, thinking, and saying what His Word says.

Financial miracles and breakthroughs can happen at any time, but that doesn’t mean we stop growing spiritually and building on the foundation. Godly prosperity is the result of putting God’s Word, all of it, not just the parts about financial prosperity, first place in life.

Make no mistake about it: Growing prosperity continues when we apply these principles on a daily basis and not just because we want money. We always put ourselves in position for increase when we seek after God and do things His way. Go now and build your foundation, continue to grow spiritually, dare to believe, and you will surely prosper.

May you get yourself prepared to prosper and live a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Procrastinate No More – Why Put Off For Tomorrow What You Can Do Today?

Procrastinate No More – Why Put Off For Tomorrow What You Can Do Today?

Stop Procrastination and Tap Into Your Enormous God Given Potential!

stop procrastinationProcrastination is rarely our friend.

Why do we all have the natural tendency to…

do things tomorrow –

 instead of today?

Have you been putting off…

crucial activities…

and decisions in your life?

The Procrastination Trap

Often times we postpone our work and our choices in order to avoid discomfort. Sometimes we stall because of self-doubt or a sense of inadequacy associated with the task at hand. Other times, we simply lack the needed motivation to get started.

Whatever the reason, procrastination usually has negative consequences and simply creates stress as the projects and decisions begin to pile up…

And then there are spiritual consequences when we procrastinate. Important tasks in our church or volunteer organizations may be left undone and we may become a stumbling block to others. Our spiritual growth may slow to a stop, and worse of all, we may miss out on the blessing of God.

This is why we need to move beyond our fears and personal inadequacies and allow God to work in our lives.  Once we admit our weaknesses to our heavenly Father, He is faithful to help us overcome them.

Put a Stop to Procrastination

If you find that procrastination is negatively affecting your life, then first confess this problem and turn it over to God. Then, try to identify the areas of your life in which you procrastinate. Ask yourself what feelings accompany your lack of motivation in these areas? Are you afraid, angry, bitter, or resentful?

Once we are ready to submit these emotions to God, He is ready to help us remove them from our lives. Then we have to choose to do today what we know to do, instead of making choices on the basis of feelings. The next time you do not ‘feel’ like working, stop and ask God to provide the godly motivation you need.

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.” — Ecclesiastes 9:10

Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and that helps explain the urgency felt in the above verse. Whatever task we may have at hand, we need to respond by doing it now and doing it well. Take whatever God has put in your hand and use it, without delay and without reserve, for the Lord.

God created us all with enormous potential to do great things. But if we want to tap into the potential that is currently beyond where we are now, we have to take action with the gifts and talents and opportunities God puts in front of us.

The clock is ticking. Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Especially do not procrastinate in serving the Lord; ask Him every morning for his help.  Whatever God has put on your heart to do today; do it now with all your might and put a stop to procrastination.

May God give you the motivation to do today, what needs to be done today, so you can tap into your potential and manifest a life of growing prosperity!

Soar higher –

God bless you,

Christian Meditations – What Does Prayer Have to Do With Christian Meditation?

Christian Meditations – What Does Prayer Have to Do With Christian Meditation?

How do Prayer and Meditation Relate to Each Other?

Christian Prayer and MeditationChristian meditation is time devoted to being in the presence of God and consuming God’s Word.

There are many forms of meditation and prayer is one of them.

In general, meditation on God’s Word primarily involves hearing from God and prayer is primarily about speaking to God.

Prayer is often defined as spiritual communion with God.

“Prayer is the most important tool for your mission in the world. People may refuse our love and message, but they are defenseless against our prayers.”
— Dr. Rick Warren

God’s desire is to have close fellowship with us, His children. And like all relationships that involves a commitment of time and two-way communication.

In His Presence Through Christian Prayer and Meditation

From the earliest of days, prayer has been an essential part of meditation for Christians. Those who practice a deep, contemplative form of prayer often speak of it as a sense of “being one with the Lord” or being consumed in God’s love. But they don’t necessarily think of it in terms of meditation.

We see in the scripture that the psalmist used meditation as an approach to God and prayed that the meditation of his heart be sweet (104:34) and acceptable to God (19:14). His meditation also led him to a deeper and greater understanding of God’s Word (Psalm 49:3).

Christians sometimes think of meditation as quiet prayer, a prayer without petition, since the Lord already knows our needs. (Matthew 6:8) This might involve prayer that includes biblical confession of God’s Word. Praying God’s Word is praying His will.

Spiritual Discipline of Christian Prayer and Meditation Taps Into the Supernatural of God

The practice of praying God’s Word is at the same time meditating His Word. The spiritual and physical discipline needed for regular prayer and meditation will soon become almost effortless with daily practice.

Eventually we notice a life of living deliberately in the presence of God always; throughout the waking day.

“What blessed excitements those have who are much alone with Christ!… Such a man never has a cold heart or a slack hand who is much in meditation with his Lord Jesus.”
— Charles H. Spurgeon

As we tap into the realm of the supernatural God provides, through prayer and meditation, we live a victorious life because we are connected to the life force and power of God.

Do yourself a favor: Be the success God created you to be. How? By daily staying consumed and tapped into His presence, power, and love through prayer and meditation in the Word of God!

God bless you always,

Christian Meditation – What Areas of My Life Can I Expect to Improve by Meditating?

Christian Meditation – What Areas of My Life Can I Expect to Improve by Meditating?

Meditation Benefits and Affirmations to Get You Started!

Christian meditation should be a foundational practice in every believer’s life. Meditating on God’s Word greatly improves the quality of life in every area.

Anyone can access the benefits of meditation. Whatever your beliefs may be, we all live in the world God created. That being said…

it is through meditation on the living Word of God that ultimately manifests the blessings of God.

Take a look at some ways our lives will improve:

Meditation Brings Mental Stability

The mind has creative power and we are told to prepare our minds. (1 Peter 1:13)

God’s Word causes joy and rejoicing in our heart. It changes the way we see our self, our family, and our future. It helps us start seeing our self and our life the way God does.

Sample biblical affirmations to meditate on for a sound mind:

  • I have been given a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • God is not the author of confusion but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
  • God keeps me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on Him. (Isaiah 26:3)

Meditation Blesses us Physically

Meditation is like medicine. It is life to our spirit and flesh. Everything we need is in the word. Once we act on the meditated Word of God, we tap into the abundance of God. Physical and financial provision has already been provided, but it is up to us to act in order to receive.

Sample biblical affirmations to meditate on for physical needs:

  • I prosper and I am in health, just as my soul prospers. (3 John 2)
  • The Lord heals all my diseases and keeps me from destruction. (Psalm 103:3-4)
  • The Lord sent His Word and healed me. (Psalm 107:20)
  • By Jesus stripes I was healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Meditation Provides Spiritual Growth

Physical and emotional blessings are just the natural created gifts we receive when we meditate and spend time in His presence. Faith, love and spiritual growth in many areas will also soon begin to manifest.

Sample biblical affirmations to meditate on for spiritual growth:

  • Christ dwells in my heart through faith and I am rooted and grounded in love and grow in God’s love, which passes knowledge, and I am filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

As we tap into the abundance of God and His never ending supply, we will begin to experience growing prosperity in all areas of our lives. And meditation, which affects us both spiritually and physically, is part of God’s plan.

What is your next step? Take what you have just learned and put it to work in your life. Then watch as the power of Christian meditation transforms your life!

God bless you,
Brenda

Happy July 4th! Celebrating Freedom

Happy July 4th! Celebrating Freedom

Celebrating the 4th of July!

Independence Day in America is a time of celebration of freedom, both spiritual and physical.

May you all have a safe and happy day!

And special thanks and prayers go out to all those who have served and are serving in the military on our behalf; that we may continue to enjoy freedom.

Thank God for all His blessings!

John Adams
2nd U.S. President and Signer of the Declaration of Independence

“Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God … What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be.”
–Diary and Autobiography of John Adams, Vol. III, p. 9.

“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”
–Adams wrote this on June 28, 1813, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson.

“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out Your precepts.”
— Psalm 119:45

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
— John 8:36

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
— Galatians 5:1

“In Him [Christ] and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
— Ephesians 3:12

1861 (July 4), Senate Prayer:

“Almighty and everlasting God, be not angry with us for our sins, which we only confess and deplore; but pardon our offenses and extend to us Thy favor. We thank Thee for Thy goodness on this anniversary of the nation a day tenfold more precious by reason of our present troubles, and sacred to the heart for the ever memorable Declaration of our fathers, in which Thou didst begin more openly to give us a name among the nations of the earth. We thank Thee for all Thy manifold and abundant mercies hitherto to make our nation exceedingly great and glorious; but now disasters have befallen us and darkness broods in the land. And now we ask Thy mercy as the Senate is convening at a most momentous crisis of our history. Give to Thy servants all needed help. Add to their deliberations wisdom and unanimity, and profit and speed to their conclusion. Bless Thy servant, the President of the United States, our veteran Commander-in- Chief, and all that have functions in the civil and military power. May the angel of Thy presence walk in the Cabinet and in the Congress and in the camp, to go before, to purify, and to direct the now greatly and universally-awakened love of country. And we beseech Thee to guide us, to overrule and order all things, and so to cause that nothing shall fail, that the disorders of the land may be speedily healed, that peace and concord may prevail, that truth and righteousness may be established, and that Thy Church and Kingdom may flourish in a larger peace and prosperity, for Thy Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.”
— Rev. Byron Sunderland, D.D.

Happy 4th of July!

Expect Abundance – How to Use Expectation to Trigger the Law of Attraction!

Expect Abundance – How to Use Expectation to Trigger the Law of Attraction!

Increase the Flow of Wealth Into Your Material World

Expecting abundance is a powerful force.

What are you doing to generate increase?

Wealth will not come into your material world…

until you first expectantly visualize the wealth in your mind.

But what does that really mean?

Prospering Internally

Before we can begin to overcome the poverty surrounding us in our external world, we need to claim victory over the impoverishment buried deep within ourselves. Prosperity begins with an inward awareness that an unlimited supply abounds within the spiritual realm all around us.

“It’s almost as if there is an invisible reservoir of abundance in the universe that can be tapped if you will just obey certain spiritual laws.”
— Norman Vincent Peale

It is impossible to feel poor with an understanding and consciousness of being surrounded by the infinite God of the universe; a God that never lacks. The lack that we experience in life is simply caused from our own limited awareness.

The Light Bulb Story

There is a story told of a poor couple that moves into a small village and is astonished to discover their new home is lighted by electricity. They had no prior experience with the power and force of electricity and they never saw an electric light before.

After several months, the couple adjusts to this new found discovery when a salesman stops by and recommends they upgrade their 8 watt bulbs with 60 watt bulbs; to better meet their needs.  Once the new bulb is plugged in, the entire room is illuminated.

The couple never imagined, in their wildest dreams that the source of this new flood of magnificent light had been there all the time. They didn’t know this abundant increase of light could come from the same current that was feeding their 8 watt bulb.

Plugging Into Abundance with Expectation

The truth is; most of us are even less aware of the power available to us than this couple was of the electric power current. We never dream that the infinite, abundant, current which surrounds us could flood our lives with light more magnificent than the most powerful light bulb.

In order to experience increase we need to plug a larger, more prosperous, expectant idea into the current of the infinite abundance of God. Unfortunately though, most of us strangle our supply with negative energized thoughts of doubt, fear, and poverty; which only cutoff the inflow of prosperity.

Now is the time to change that negative, habitual, pattern of thinking. Remember, the stream of plenty flows toward the expectant mind. We must live by faith expecting to receive.

Firmly establish the desired goal in your mind and live expectant. Expect good things to happen. Expect to be blessed. Imagine already being in possession of wealth and develop the prosperity you seek in your mind first. Know where you are and where you are going; and expect to get there!

Allow your expectation to trigger the attractive force that will help move your desired goals in your direction.

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

Let the law of attraction help manifest your prosperous thoughts.

Remember: As you think means the innermost thoughts of your heart; which you control. That is what you expect, what you attract, and what you will ultimately receive.

May you live by faith, expecting to attract a life of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Powerful Spiritual Meditation – Why Should Christians Meditate?

Powerful Spiritual Meditation – Why Should Christians Meditate?

The Powerful “Lost Art” of Christian Meditation

Powerful Spiritual MeditationChristian meditation is a choice and a positive, life transforming choice at that.

The Bible makes it clear that meditation is for His children.

However, meditation seems to be a “lost art” for most believers these days.

Yet whether we realize it or not, as Christians today we have a deep spiritual need to meditate.

This is the reason many believers so easily get drawn into evil spiritual activity, which the Bible warns about often.

The list of reasons why Christians should meditate is practically endless. Let’s look at some of the key purposes of biblical meditation.

God Commands Us to Meditate on His Word

How about the fact that the Bible commands us to? God says to meditate on His Word day and night so we will obey it.

“…you shall meditate day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written…”
— Joshua 1:8

How can we do and obey without first having an understanding of what is required? Meditation on the kingdom of God way of living gives us that knowledge. It also empowers us to act on it.

Meditation Helps Manifest God’s Blessings and Promises in Our Life

Manifestation of the blessings and promises of God are a result of meditating on scripture. As we meditate, our understanding of God and His ways will draw us closer to Him.

Our faith and love will increase along with the desire to please God in a greater way. Meditation, and the gathering of knowledge alone, will not manifest results. Action on this revealed knowledge is required to receive the blessings.

In the same verse quoted earlier we see that it goes on to say that blessing can be expected when we meditate and then act on God’s Word.

“…then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”
— Joshua 1:8

Revelation of God’s Laws Benefits Society

God’s word is packed full of eternal mysteries just waiting for the diligent, faithful believer to discover. And just as discoveries in the natural world, benefit society, so do spiritual discoveries reflected in the living Word of God.

Electricity has always been, but think about how the discovery of this law greatly impacted the world. With discovery comes progress. And the discoveries found in God’s laws have the greatest power for transformation.

Case in point: Meditation on the laws of God’s kingdom can take us out of the spiritual Stone Age and into a life where spiritual wonders and miracles await.

Are you ready to make Christian meditation a habit in your life?

God bless you,
Brenda
