Time Management – Overcome the Pressure of Time and Invest It Wisely!

Time Management – Overcome the Pressure of Time and Invest It Wisely!

You Can Overcome the Pressure of Time

Time Management Overcome the Pressure of TimeTime management is an important life skill.

Time is precious; we never seem to have enough of it.

More than that, we tend to be overcome with

the pressure of time, as we continually find

our “to do” list filled with too many tasks and

not enough time to finish them.

Sound familiar?

Well, why not choose to overcome the pressure of time,

rather than let it overwhelm you?

You can manage your time and take control of your life.

“Make the most of every opportunity.”
— Colossians 4:5 NIV

Time is a Gift – Do You Use It Wisely?

Time is one of the valuable gifts God has given us. And even though we may be aware that each day is a gift, none of us know how much of it we have left to use on this earth.

We are encouraged to use our time wisely in Psalm 90 verse 12: “So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”

The question is: What are you doing with your days?

Time Wasted or Time Invested?

When analyzing how we manage our time, we will most likely find that much of it is spent on “time wasters.” “Time wasters” are those things that soak up our time and distract us from accomplishing our goals.

Games, TV, Facebook, email, phone calls, and surfing the web are all common “time wasters” these days. And if you are procrastinating tackling your “to do” list, these distractions can easily take up way too much of the day.

The next thing we’ll probably notice is that a lot of our time is spent on the daily maintenance tasks of life. Not the most exciting activities to do, but yet necessary.

Keep in mind: without a vision of the future, we can easily get caught up in doing things today that lack lasting investment.

One of the most important principles, in our walk with God here on earth, is that time and activities spent for His kingdom have eternal value. Investing the time God has given us in kingdom work is not only satisfying, but will see everlasting rewards.

Time Management Tips

Managing your time gives you power. Disciplining yourself to improve this skill will reap life-long benefits.

The following time management tips will help you get started:

  • Make a “to do” list of the things you need to accomplish.
  • Prioritize the list and put a “P” in front of the main three to four priority items that need to be accomplished for the day.
  • Focus the first part of your day accomplishing the priority items.
  • Refuse to be distracted by “time wasters.” Remove distractions as much as possible in order to complete the priority items.
  • Motivate yourself to complete the priority items first by considering how great you’ll feel once you have accomplished them.
  • Schedule time for leisure activities and remind yourself they will be a reward to look forward to once you have completed your priority tasks.
  • Ask God to help you throughout the day.

Word of warning: don’t let the seemingly endless “to do” list cloud your vision and make everything seem like a chore, especially when it comes to relationships. Time spent in relationships is a valuable investment. This is no less true when it comes to spending time with the Lord.

The truth is, we don’t have to perform for God when we spend time with Him. It should not be a chore. He wants us to be still and to know that He is God. Spending time in His presence will result in joy. Regardless of how busy our lives become, we must guard our time with Him.

Are you starting to see the light? Time is a precious gift to be valued. How we invest our lives demonstrates where our heart is and reveals what is most important to us. Overcome the pressure of time by learning to manage it and invest it wisely.

May you invest your time wisely and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Leadership – How Can the Power of Loyalty in a Leader Result in the Blessings of Success?

Leadership – How Can the Power of Loyalty in a Leader Result in the Blessings of Success?

Loyalty is Required to Reap the Full Reward

Leadership is a powerful directing force for any nation, group, or family.

The quality of a leader greatly impacts the followers and where they end up.

And the power of loyalty is a core element that results in leading the people into success.

Loyalty is a Key Qualification for Leaders

It is often thought, when someone is looking to step into a position, that in order to qualify they need to be the most talented or gifted person for the position. However, it is the loyal and faithful who are the most qualified to be leaders.

It is also thought that the friendly, flashy, outgoing person might be the best one for the job. But do not make the mistake in thinking that. A core requirement for leadership is loyalty and faithfulness and not anything else. A loyal person can be taught the skills needed for the job.

“It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
— 1 Corinthians 4:2

Loyalty is Required to Reap the Full Reward

Success comes to the loyal and faithful ones. One day we all hope to hear those famous words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

In the good times everyone seems loyal. Those who remain supportive through the difficult times are different from those who come in when everything is working well. No doubt, loyalty is most appreciated in hard times.

Loyalty Needed for a Successful Team of People

One person can only do so much. Growing success requires building a loyal team of people. In fact, no team will be strong and effective if they are not loyal.

It would actually be better to work alone than with a team of disloyal, disgruntled, and disunited people. One disloyal person breeds strife, hatred, and murmuring like smoke that quickly fills the whole house. Whenever there is distrust and disloyalty, the people are on guard and stray away.

Effective leaders exhibit loyalty and faithfulness. People are attracted by genuine love and commitment and repelled by disunity and discord. Loyal leaders influence their followers to be an effective and loyal team of people, who in turn create loyal successors.

Bottom line: Those who benefit from the blessings of success are the faithful and loyal ones. Without loyalty every organization constantly undergoes disintegration. Loyal leaders build loyal teams that remain committed in the good times and bad so that all can benefit from the blessings of success.

May you be a loyal and faithful leader and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!

Growing Prosperity – Why Do the Wicked Prosper While the Godly Suffer Lack?

Growing Prosperity – Why Do the Wicked Prosper While the Godly Suffer Lack?

Put Yourself On The Road to Growing Prosperity!

Blessing of GodWhat profit is there in serving God? This is not a new question. People have been asking this for thousands of years.

When challenging times come, unfortunately God often gets the blame. Are you going to be found guilty of bad mouthing God when trouble comes your way?

I know I have had to repent for this. I also know that while I was busy feeling sorry for myself and questioning God, my situation only grew worse.

Once I decided to adjust the attitude of my heart, stand steadfast, renew my faith in the Word of God, and cry out to Him for help, things started to improve.

How’s the Attitude of Your Heart?

We really need to take inventory of our own lives, especially the condition of our heart, before we dare even think to step out in arrogance and pride to judge God; which we should never do.

Look at some of the people complaining about not prospering back in the book of Malachi. They were found speaking harshly against God; claiming to obey His law and yet failing to profit, but saying the wicked disobey and prosper.

The people said they were obeying God’s laws. Yet were they really?

If we take a look, we see they would go through the motion of what was required, but it was not out of love and honor for God with the right heart attitude. For instance, if they did give their tithes and offerings it was not the first and the best; it was the unwanted, rotten and moldy.

Their giving was not with a cheerful, thankful heart out of love, honor, and respect to God; who all provision comes from in the first place. They were just going through the motion.

God is after your heart. Where’s yours?

It may look by the appearance of some people, as if they have it all together and are prospering, even though they are living a sinful life and don’t honor God. A certain measure of success can be reached by following natural laws, however, without God it is impossible to truly prosper.

You Qualify for Prosperity

You have the opportunity to experience a full and complete life with God and prosper in every area. He wants you to experience an abundance of life on earth and in Heaven. In Matthew 6:10 Jesus told us to pray “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.” There is no poverty in heaven.

God’s will is that all his children prosper spiritually, physically, and financially.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” – 3 John 2

The abundant prosperity of God comes to those who obey His commandments. As long as your heart is right, God doesn’t have a problem with blessing you. If you have greed in your heart or poverty thinking in your mind, let God clean it out.

Renew your mind to God’s Word concerning prosperity and let Him reveal the mystery of sowing and reaping. God gives you the ability to gain wealth so that you can help establish His covenant.

Get your heart, thoughts, words, and actions lined up with the Word of God.

A Special Book in Heaven

In Malachi we also see the Lord make a book of remembrance for those who fear Him and who meditate on His name. He then reminds us that there is a day coming, that the righteous will be lifted up as jewels, and the proud and wicked will be put down.

Serving God brings rewards in this lifetime and in heaven.

Don’t let yourself get distracted with what the unjust are doing. Stand steadfast and don’t give up, because your labor is not in vain.

Prosperity comes through faith and patience. Don’t throw in the towel just because your prosperity has not yet fully manifested or because trials come your way. Adjust your life as needed as you continue moving forward.

The bottom line is this: We’ll never know all the answers in this lifetime, but we know enough to keep us busy a lifetime. It takes faith to please God and the just live by faith. They don’t just ‘try-it-out’.  So now go get busy doing what God says, because my Bible says if you do, blessings will come on you and overtake you.

May your heart chase after the things of God and your life be full of growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing,
Brenda
