Self-esteem is such a powerful, driving force in our lives. The image we have of ourselves; be it good or bad, is going to keep us in failure or move us to success. Another powerful force to take note of is fear. It is a negative one that will rob us of our confidence.
How can you even begin to be confident when fear makes you anxious, stressed, worried, depressed, and unsure of yourself?
Fear is a great handicap that hinders your self-esteem because it only allows you to see the negative side of things. It will paralyze you from moving forward.
Jesus even told us over and over not to be afraid. He helped reveal to us that fear will produce what we fear.
Are you with me? Do you understand the importance of putting a stop to fear? You need to learn to nip fear in the bud daily. Become conscious of fearful thoughts quickly!
Fear drives Failure and Faith drives Confidence.
Victory over fear is required if you want to boost your self-esteem. Mastery of the thoughts and the words you speak will help give you victory. Memorize some positive affirmations to use as replacements for fearful thoughts that try to attack your mind.
Put a stop to the cycle of fear by standing on the Word of God and replacing fear with faith. Faith is evidence of your trust in God. God’s Word frees you from fear.
Some Affirmation Examples to Help Replace Fear with Faith and Confidence:
- God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7) - The peace of God keeps my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
- My confidence is in the Lord and I will not be afraid. (Proverbs 3:25-26)
No doubt about it; there is no limit to what you can do in holding fast to self-confident and courageous thoughts. We fail only when we lose faith in our God given ability to abound in life. It is through faith we touch the very source of life and gain the strength to live successful. Replace the fear in your life with faith filled words and give a big boost to your self-esteem.

1) STRENGTH – The nearer you are to God the greater your strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. (Isaiah 40:31)
2) POWER to CREATE and INVENT – A closer relationship and consciousness with God, provides more power to create and invent because you draw upon the limitless resources of an unlimited God. His power works through us to glorify His name. (Romans 9:17)
3) WISDOM – Your partnership, with the God of infinite wisdom, allows you to tap into His wisdom. He says if we lack wisdom to ask and He will give it to us generously. (James 1:5)
4) HOPE – Realization of your divine partnership with God will enlarge your life and multiply your effectiveness with hope in Him. It will take away feelings of hopelessness, uncertainty and inability to overcome the storms of life. God’s plans are to give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
5) NO FEAR – When you take God into full, complete partnership, you will not fear. Your life’s ventures cannot end in disappointment. With God we are led into abundant pastures, beside still waters, and He says we will fear no evil. (Psalm 23)
6) MIRACLES – As God’s partner, He is able to perform miracles through us. Every great artist, writer, inventor, or healer that has done a miraculous thing, is conscious of the greater divine source of God working through them. God can make your tongue as the pen of a skilled writer. (Psalm 45:1)
7) SUCCESS & HAPPINESS – To have real success requires taking God into partnership and lining up your purpose and ambitions with His will. When your career and life does not run counter to God’s plan, but is in tune and contributes and benefits society, your cooperation will bring true happiness and success. In Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28)
8 ) HONESTY – Taking God into partnership means that you must not only be honest, but that you must be robustly honest. You cannot lie, cheat, steal, or take advantage of anyone. It is impossible for God to lie. (Hebrews 6:18)
9) LOVE – Partnership with God requires walking in love and loving Him. God is a god of love and what is life without love? God tells us to do all things in love and that love never fails. We are told that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord. (Romans 8:28)
10) PEACE – When you take God into partnership, and you are conscious of doing His work, you have a life of peace and security. With God’s great light in your life you can feel safe and reassured that you will not lose your way. We are told the Lord will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)
I could go on and on. The fact is, with God as your partner you will have a new zest in life to attain the higher things that are worthwhile and of eternal value. Working in harmony with God allows you to inherit the best from the King of kings and enjoy a prosperous and abundant life.

The Secret of the LORD – Discover the Key to the Treasures of Life!
Do You Fear the LORD?
Secrets are something we all have and not all secrets are bad. We share our secrets with those who are in close relationship with us and who we can trust. God has some secrets He would like to share with those who are in an intimate relationship with Him.
How do we enter into an intimate relationship with God?
Fear of God is the starting point to having an intimate relationship with Him.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7
It seems that many Christians call Jesus their Lord and Savior but they don’t fear Him with a holy fear that acknowledges He is their supreme Lord.
People tend to love a distorted image of Jesus that they create with their own imagination and understanding.
Don’t be fooled, a lack of holy fear separates us from intimacy with God.
How do you obtain this necessary fear of the Lord? (Proverbs 2:1-5)
1) Receive the Word of God. “My son, if you will receive my words, …”
2) Hide His Commandments in You. “… And hide my commandments with you; …”
3) Incline Your Ear to Wisdom. “… So that you incline your ear unto wisdom, …”
4) Apply Your Heart to Understanding. “… and apply your heart to understanding; …”
5) Cry Out For Knowledge & Discernment. “… Yes, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding; …”
6) Seek it and Search as You Would for Hidden Treasures. “… If you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures; then shall you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”
The fear of the LORD is the key to Unlock His Treasures.
Fear of the Lord is the key that unlocks His treasures in our lives.
“And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times, and strength of salvation; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.” — Isaiah 33:6
God desires that we draw near to Him, but this is impossible without a holy fear. It is not about being scared of God. The person who fears God has nothing to hide because he knows his life is an open book before God. He puts God’s desires before the desires of himself and others.
How does God know if we fear Him?
We obey Him. Evidence of a holy fear is obedience to God’s commandments.
The Secret of the LORD is with Those Who Fear Him
“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.” Psalm 25:14
A holy fear of the Lord produces unconditional obedience in our hearts and lives. The Lord is drawn to those who fear Him and He works in them both to will and to do His good pleasure. Those that fear the Lord enjoy his secret and treasures.
May you draw near to God as He draws near to you and experience a life of growing prosperity!

Get Victory Over Fear and Step Into Your God Given Ability to Attract Abundance!
Fear of failure 
is a common enemy to your prosperity. How can you even begin to prosper when fear makes you anxious, stressed, worried, depressed, and unsure of yourself?
When fear is in charge, it’s all that you can do to make it through the day, let alone even think about the first step needed to prosper.
If you struggle with fear, guess what? You are not alone.
Much is taught on fear, because it is a battle for many.
Fear Sets Failure in Motion
Fear is a negative force that attracts to you that very thing you fear. Jesus told us over and over things like; fear not, be not afraid, don’t be anxious. He wasn’t just saying these things to hear Himself talk! He was revealing the important fact that, fear will produce what you fear.
Hopefully by now you understand that when you fear, you set in motion the formula for failure. Fear is evidence of unbelief and it will paralyze you from moving forward.
Mastery of the thoughts and the words we speak will help give us victory. And victory over fear is required if we want to prosper.
Faith Sets Prosperity in Motion
But how do you go about that?
Put a stop to the cycle of fear by standing on the Word of God and replacing fear with faith. God’s Word frees you from fear. Faith is evidence of your trust in God.
Start resisting fear and begin attracting the prosperity you desire in your life by speaking faith verses such as these:
“God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.”
– 2 Timothy 1:7“Whoever harkens unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”
– Proverbs 1:33
No doubt about it: The timid, fearful, questioning of ‘What if I should fail?’ attitude has ruined more careers than anything else.

It is through faith we touch the very source of life and gain the strength to grab hold of our prosperity.

Dave Ramsey Town Hall for Hope Meeting
Dave Ramsey Town Hall for Hope Meeting
This post is a bit delayed, since the Dave Ramsey Town Hall for Hope meeting was on Thursday 4/23. I wanted to blog sooner but I had surgery the next day on Friday and have been recovering…
Now that I am back on my feet and playing catch-up, I want to help pass on this much needed message of hope. Our church hosted the Town Hall for Hope telecast and it was encouraging. With so much doom & gloom everywhere you turn regarding the current economic condition, a spirit lifting message of hope was gladly received.
Dave has a real back-to-basics, common sense approach to not only financial affairs, but life in general. He presents it with a positive and humorous outlook and includes clear steps of action. It is always great to leave a meeting “feeling” better, but if you don’t also leave knowing what action to take, the feelings will fade and nothing in your life will change!
There was a lot presented that night and some others have put together great summaries and reviews. Just do a quick search online. You’ll also want to check out the Town Hall for Hope website at www.townhallforhope.com that has additional resources. I’m assuming a video replay will be available soon.
I do want to make note of the action steps Dave left us with though…
3 Steps for those Struggling with Hope:
1. Get Up & Take Action! – Don’t rely on anyone else or the government to fix your problems. Take control and take personal responsibility of your future in all areas and start with yourself and get your own house in order.
2. Don’t Take Part in Loser Talk!!! – Stop listening to all the negative loser talk from people that are going to suck the life out of you and keep you in fear. Get around people that are positive and going to encourage each other and at the same time hold you accountable. Speak hope. (Dave cracked me up when He said “The average millionaire can’t tell you who got thrown off the island last”. :0))
3. Start Giving! – Giving takes the focus off yourself and this does wonders for your hope. Giving of your time or money helps change your mindset for the better. America is #1 in giving, but we can do even better.
There is a family at our church that shared how they were $60k in debt and within a few years after going through Dave Ramsey’s course, they recently became debt free!
It always helps me to hear of others that overcome. I stepped out into full-time self-employment a year ago and also started taking some online classes. So with the added expense of classes, mixed with cost of starting a business and temporary drop of income…on top of already being a single parent of two teenagers, lets just say my personal financial situation is not where I want it to be.
I’ve never stopped giving of my time and money though. Never stopped tithing and putting God first. I truly believe my situation is changing for the better everyday. :0)
My favorite verse is Hebrews 10:23 from the NLT:
“Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.”
