What Is God’s Will? Skit Guys Video

What Is God’s Will? Skit Guys Video

A Look at Knowing God’s Will for Your Life

Enjoy some humor with this video by the Skit Guys. Be sure to hear what he says in the beginning of the video: God’s plan and will for our lives will NOT contradict God’s Word (which is His will).

So yes, there are lots of obvious things in God’s Word that are His will for everyone. God also gives us unique gifts, talents, and desires. We all have a purpose in His kingdom. When we put into motion, in life, those things we are passionate about and follow our heart – this helps move us into the center of God’s will.

For some Christians, God’s will for their life is very clear from an early age. For others, it is a constant step-by-step process that seems to be revealed with each step and act of obedience to God’s truths.

Again though, our heart and our passions will help guide us into the center of God’s will, but they need to be in line with God’s Word and not contradict it.

“I pray for you and desire that you might be filled with the
knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing,
being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power,
to all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Giving thanks to the Father, which has made us
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
Who has delivered us from the power of darkness,
and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through His blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of every creature:
For by Him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by Him, and for Him:
and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.”
— Colossians 1:9-17

The Gift of Worship – Video

The Gift of Worship – Video

This video is a helpful self-examination of where our heart is at in worship. Do we lay our burdens down at the cross and fix our heart on Jesus and give Him praise?

(Or do we simply sing-a-long and rehearse all our problems in our head and keep the focus on ourselves the whole time we should be giving praise to God Almighty!)

“The hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
— Jesus Christ (John 4:23-24)

God doesn’t just want you to show up and go through the motions of worship –

God wants your heart!

May we all worship God in Spirit and in truth!

God bless you,
Brenda

This Year Will Be Different – Skit Guys Video

This Year Will Be Different – Skit Guys Video

A humorous but honest look at several people that wrestle with goals and want to get the year started on the right foot.

I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to where these people are coming from in this video… enjoy!

May we present our body a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service. And may we not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. — Romans 12:1-2

Positive Attitude – How Can Positive Thinking Revolutionize Your Life for Success?

Positive Attitude – How Can Positive Thinking Revolutionize Your Life for Success?

The Power of Positive Thinking

Positive Thinking PowerPositive thinking has been promoted as a must have character trait for years.

Many believe in the power of positive thinking…

and many more think it is just a bunch of nonsense.

The kicker is: They are both right!

Positive thinking is related to your beliefs. So the catch is; if you believe it does not work then it won’t. And if you believe it does work, well, then it will.

However, that being said, the main reason it does not work for non-believers is because of their negative belief; they don’t even give it a try. But anyone can get positive results and will tend to become believers of positive thinking once they put it into action.

Norman Vincent Peale once said:

“If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.”

Once you start to plant seeds of positive thinking, it begins a chain reaction. It encourages those around you and that in turn encourages you.

It is contagious…

When you choose to think positive, you will eventually speak and act positive.

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7

If you water and tend to the positive thoughts planted in your mind they begin to grow and take root in your heart.  What’s in your heart is the true reflection of who you are.

Keep in mind: There is no harm in living with a positive outlook. But there is great harm in living with a negative outlook.

Just like a joke or a smile can break the tension in a group of people, your positive thoughts have the power to break the tension and discouragement in your life and move you toward success.

Clear the negative thoughts that may be planted in your mind by daily watering the positive ones. Do this by speaking to yourself daily something similar to the following positive affirmation:

“I was intended to express joy and success. I am victory minded. God created me to win out in life. I was born to live life with peace and hope.”

If any of this rings true: Start planting positive seeds of change and watch as the positive vibes you send out result in your own harvest. The fact that you are reading this is a great indication that the seeds of change are already there. Now go start watering your positive attitude.

May your heart be abundantly positive and your life full of growing prosperity!

God bless you –

Cheers,
Brenda

Merry Christmas! What is Christmas All About Anyway?

Merry Christmas! What is Christmas All About Anyway?

Without Christ There Would Be No Christmas!

In this video Linus helps out Charlie Brown and explains what Christmas is all about.

“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.’

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.”
— Luke 2:17-20

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

God bless,
Brenda

Discover Hope to Stand Steadfast When the Storms of Life Are Blowing Through

Discover Hope to Stand Steadfast When the Storms of Life Are Blowing Through

Inspiration to Renew Your Hope by Tapping Into the
Supernatural Source!

Hope is a choice. You might be saying, “There is no hope, so I might as well give up.” But I’m here to tell you as long as you have breath, there is hope to be had.

Keep in mind that your faith works with hope.

If faith is the substance of things hoped for, then there has to be some hope in the mix. Once you give up hope, there is nothing for your faith to give substance to.

Hope also gives your faith some direction.

Hope says “This is the target I’m aiming at”. It states what you are standing in faith believing for.

The great thing about hope is that it’s free. So you have no excuse not to use it.

What storms of life are you facing today?

Sickness and disease, loss of loved ones, financial lack, broken relationships, poor environmental conditions, and spiritual turmoil and separation from God are just a sample of the common trials going on all around us.

Looking at these trials, it is easy to see why so many decide to throw in the towel and give up hope.

If you’ve reached that point, then do as Abraham did when he felt the situation seemed hopeless. He believed in hope. Yes, he chose to believe in hope.

Are you with me still? Not only is there hope available, but there is a source for supernatural help. And you’ll find it the same place Abraham did; in the God of hope.

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 15:13

If your situation, doctors, relatives, friends, test results, bank statements, and news reports say there is no hope; then there is no better time to side with God. It is never too late to turn to the Word of God and find hope that is always available!

Are you just plain fed up?

Find out what God’s Word says about your situation and begin speaking it over your life, because hope makes demands by speaking. Quit fretting and complaining about the unfortunate condition of your present situation and lift your head and face toward the light.

Say to yourself:

“I am a child of God and I am intended to express joy and success. I am victory minded and I was created to win out in life. I have hope in the Lord and renew my strength. His power in me helps me overcome every circumstance and makes my future bright.”

The truth of the matter is: We can allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by discouragement and lose hope, or we can choose to rise above it. You’re still breathing, so choose hope.

May your hope be renewed and your life full of growing prosperity!

God bless you –
Cheers,
Brenda

P.S. Feel free to share if you have overcome a situation that once seemed hopeless. We’d love to hear about it…
