Just like we take steps that get us into debt, there are steps we can take to get out of it. Make a plan to get out of debt. Seek financial advice from someone that can help you with your budget and steps you can take. I personally know people that have gone through the Dave Ramsey course and are now free from huge burdens of debt. Ask God to guide you to the right person that has the wisdom to help you get your budget organized and create a plan of action to get out of debt.

Continue to act in obedience to God’s Word because that is how we position ourselves to receive God’s blessings. Take your focus off the spirit of debt and put it on the abundance of God by meditating and confessing the Word of God daily.

Example of a prayer/confession for freedom from debt and receiving the abundance of God:

“Thank you Father that you are my Lord and my shepherd and I do not want or have need in any area, because You are blessing me. You are the Almighty God, and You Lord can turn not enough into more than enough, insufficiency into sufficiency. I am a doer of the Word and I am being flooded with supernatural overflow in my life like never before. As you give unto me I give back and I am a blessing everywhere I go. Lord God, I thank You, that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or imagine. As I step out in faith on Your promises, I thank You for Your breakthrough, Your miracle-working power on my behalf and that I will testify to how great You are Lord! Thank you for these things, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
