Is Christian Meditation a Biblical Practice – Does God Want You to Meditate?

Is Christian Meditation a Biblical Practice – Does God Want You to Meditate?

Proof Biblical Meditation Empowers Christians!

Biblical Meditation Empowers ChristiansChristian meditation seems to be a lost art

for many believers these days.

Christians are often misled into thinking

meditation is unbiblical and that

they shouldn’t meditate.

However, this cannot be further from the truth!

Christian meditation is rooted in the Bible. God commands us in the Bible to meditate on His Word day and night so we will obey it.

“You shall meditate day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written.”
— Joshua 1:8

Biblical Meditation References

Take a look at Psalm chapter 119. In this chapter alone, we see that meditation on the Word of God is talked about over and over:

  • I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways. (Psalm 119:15)
  • Your servant did meditate in your statutes and didn’t bother what others said. (Psalm 119:23)
  • I will delight myself in your commandments and meditate in your statutes. (Psalm 119:47-48)
  • I will meditate in thy precepts. (Psalm 119:78)
  • Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. (Psalm 119:97)
  • I have more understanding than all my teachers: for your testimonies are my meditation. (Psalm 119:99)

We don’t count on man’s knowledge. Instead we count on the Word of God and our God given ability to have the eyes of our understanding enlightened when we meditate on the biblical truths of His Word.

Biblical Examples of Meditation

The Bible gives us examples of great men of God that meditated:

  • Isaac went out to meditate in the field. (Genesis 24:63)
  • Paul instructs Timothy to meditate on these things so his profiting may appear to all. (1 Timothy 4:15)
  • The psalmist prayed that the meditation of his heart be sweet and acceptable to God (Psalm 104:34, 19:14)
  • Joshua encourages meditation day and night in order to do it and become prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)

These references and examples are only just a sampling; to prove that yes, Christian mediation is biblical.

Do not be fooled: A reason so many Christians live empty, unsatisfying lives is due to the lack of obeying God’s command to meditate on His Word. Their deep spiritual need to be filled with the life transforming power of God is not being met.

Now that you are armed with this information, why not let God’s divine light shine in your life through meditation? There are many rewards of meditating on the Word of God and it is a major key to living a life of victory as a Christian.

Why not purpose to make Christian meditation a daily habit and get started today?

God bless you always,

Christian Leadership – 7 Attitude Factors You Must Consider If You Want To Be An Excellent Leader

Christian Leadership – 7 Attitude Factors You Must Consider If You Want To Be An Excellent Leader!

Want to be a Christian Leader of Excellence on the Road to Success?

Christian leaders should have a desire to be caring,

supportive, and positive leaders.

They should have a heart to help and serve.

Poor leadership results in hurting the very people

who leaders should be reaching out to help.

Do you want to be a blessing to others and

accomplish what God has called you to do?

Then you need to walk, talk, and lead with the right attitude!

7 Attitude Factors You Must Consider If You Want to Be an Excellent Leader:

1. Attitude Grows From the Inside Out

Attitude takes root inward. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What is inside of you is going to come out and it will affect people around you; for good or for bad.

2. A Good Attitude Guards Your Words and Heart

As a leader, it is vital to understand the significance of your words and the impact they have on yourself and others. A good attitude keeps a guard on the words spoken and this in turn guards your heart and keeps your heart in the right condition to lead by example.

3. A Proper Attitude Maintains Your Peace

Your attitude is going to be under attack every day, and you need to be prepared to maintain a proper attitude regardless of what happens or what someone says or does. Keeping a proper attitude throughout the day will maintain your peace and further empower you with self-control and other fruits of the Spirit.

4. A Positive Attitude Has Power to Advance You

A positive attitude allows your true self to shine, and this will help advance you. In a world full of darkness and chaos, people are looking to leaders that shine a positive light of hope.

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”
— Winston Churchill

5. Your Attitude Either Draws People to You or Repels Them

Leaders are meant to lead. However, it is hard to lead if you carry a bad attitude that repels people away from you. A good attitude allows people to be drawn to you even in the midst of disagreement.

6. Attitudes Are Contagious

Attitudes are contagious and to be a leader of excellence requires maintaining a proper attitude and at the same time not tolerating a negative contagious spirit to spread and do damage.

“You cannot tailor-make the situations in life, but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.”
— Zig Ziglar

7. Your Attitude Projects Your Future

Your attitude reflects what is in you and what is going on in your life. It is also like the prophet of your future. If your attitude is poor and negative and says “nothing ever works out anyway,” it is easy to see what you can expect in your future.

On the other hand, if your attitude is positive, hopeful, and rooted in a heart of love, you are clearly on the road to success and leading others on the way.

Make no mistake about it: Your attitude is a critical factor in your success as a leader. You must consider these seven attitude factors if you want to come to the place where God wants you in the area of Christian leadership.

May your attitude produce abundant results and lead others into a life of growing prosperity!

Manifest a Life of Abundant Prosperity – Are You Ready to Overcome Your Paralyzing Fear?

Manifest a Life of Abundant Prosperity – Are You Ready to Overcome Your Paralyzing Fear?

Why Not Walk in a Spirit of Power and Receive All GOD’s Richest Blessings?

Conquer Paralyzing Fear and Walk in Bold ConfidenceManifesting a life of abundant prosperity

takes faith and courage.

It requires positive action and

much energy and effort.

One of the main factors that prevent people

from reaching their dreams is the ‘fear factor.’

Fear contains a paralyzing power that stops us

in our tracks if we let it.

“If we let it” is the key here. Fear only has power as long as we allow it to.

Why Not Overcome Your Paralyzing Fear and Walk in God’s Richest Blessings?

How many more times are you going to let fear keep you from speaking up, taking action, moving forward, and receiving all the blessings of life that God has waiting for you?

The fact is, we are all human and everyone is inevitably afraid of something.

Fears can develop from almost anything such as; spiders, to going bald, to confronting a person, to speaking in public. Fear creates panic, it torments, and it causes timidity and a shrinking back. Fear is a thief and steals our confidence and dreams.

Know this: Fear does not come from God.

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear is a powerful spirit and we too often allow it to control areas of our lives; and it is also something the devil likes to use against us.

Think about it: How many of the troubles in your life are tied to fear? We worry, we let people control us, and we try to control others and circumstances all because of fear. We get in wrong relationships for fear of being alone. We get greedy and stingy for fear of being poor. And the list goes on and on.

The Paralyzing Spirit of Fear Has No Place in the Life of God’s Children

We can begin to conquer fear by confronting it and facing it step-by-step. When we confront fear, we turn the tables and start to master it.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
— Franklin D. Roosevelt

Choose today to stop saying “I’m afraid,” and start saying “I have a spirit of power, and love, and a sound mind.”

Over and over God tells us to “Fear not.” And He wants to be our partner in helping us conquer and overcome paralyzing fear.

God knows we are going to deal with fear regularly. We are going to come face-to-face with it and have feelings of fear. But, it does not have to control us. Each time we confront fear, it becomes smaller and smaller and loses its power.

Confidence to Manifest a Life of Abundant Prosperity

The opposite of fear is faith. Faith, confidence, and courage all go hand-in-hand. Fear drives failure and faith drives confidence.

You can do amazing things with strong faith and bold confidence. Why? Because both of these carry a positive energy and a powerful force that will propel you toward your dreams.

Press on toward your goals and do those things you fear. Do what you need to do, even if you have feelings of fear. You’ll create a bold confidence as you create a successful series of experiences behind you.

The bottom line: Hope for a successful tomorrow is possible as long as rising fears are immediately stomped out and faith is allowed to rule. Replace your fears with bold confidence and faith in God and yourself, and watch the abundance of God manifest in your life.

May you overcome paralyzing fear and manifest a life of abundant growing prosperity!

Be blessed to be a blessing –

Cheers,
Brenda

Higher Level Meditation – How Will Christian Meditation Change the Way I Think and Feel?

Higher Level Meditation – How Will Christian Meditation Change the Way I Think and Feel?

Discover How Christian Meditation Can Help You Achieve a Higher Level of Thinking and Living!

Higher Level MeditationChristian meditation is something

every believer can choose to practice.

Those who do choose to meditate

soon find out it changes the way

they think and feel.

Let me ask you this…

How Does the World Make You Think and Feel?

Think for a moment about the daily choices we make and how they change our thoughts and feelings. Do you watch the news? Do you watch movies? Do you listen to music? Do you read the paper? Do you browse online social media sites and forums? Do you have conversations with co-workers, family, and friends?

Of course you do, and it is no secret that what we see and hear changes the way we think and feel!

The trouble with regular interactions, in our everyday routine, is that it tends to be overwhelming, stressful and discouraging. Most of the news, shows, music, movies, websites, and people we talk to bombard us with tragedies, loss, hardships, etcetera. This in turn leaves us in fear mode.

For this reason, many people find themselves searching for something to bring peace in the midst of chaos.

Christian Meditation to Change the Way You Think and Feel

God commands us to meditate day and night, because it will draw us closer to Him and benefit our lives. Just as with His other laws, He does not force us to obey. Instead we get to choose.

So, will meditation on God’s Word change the way we think and feel?

Absolutely, YES! Those who choose to meditate soon find out it changes the way they think and feel for the better!

“Blessed, happy is the person who delights in the
law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night.”

— Psalm 1:1-2

The ways of the world come to no surprise to God. And Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “Whatever a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

God instructs us to meditate on His Word so that our heart will be filled with His power. If a person, with purpose and intent, will meditate on God and His ways, they will achieve a higher level of thinking and living, including joy and peace.

“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You.”

— Isaiah 26:3

No matter what happens around us we can meditate on God’s Word to draw strength, life and victory.

Believe me: Once you start to practice Christian meditation daily, the way you think and feel about yourself, and your life will take on a brighter outlook. The life transforming power of God’s Word changes lives!

Do you, as a Christian believer, purpose to achieve a higher level of thinking and living by meditating on the Word of God daily?

God bless you always,

Christian Meditation – Meditate to Release Bad Habits and Face a Bright Hopeful Future Fully Alive!

Christian Meditation – Meditate to Release Bad Habits and Face a Bright Hopeful Future Fully Alive!

Discover Christian Meditation to Help You…
Put Your Dependency on God and Live Fully Alive

Christian Meditation for a Hopeful Future Living Fully AliveChristian meditation can help replace those

negative memories and heavy weights of our past by

turning our faces toward a bright and hopeful future.

No matter how our wrong choices, bad habits,

or the storms of life blowing through have negatively

affected our health, employment, relationships, finances, etc.,

we can face a hopeful future and begin to build up what has been torn down.

Replace a Negative Dependence with a Higher Power

Negative, unhealthy thinking leads to a dependency on negative habits. Soon the bad effects of those negative habits weigh a person down more and more. Whether the dependency is on overeating, smoking, drinking, gambling, lying, gossiping, stealing, hating, or any other unhealthy addiction, it is time to find a new outlook on life.

Do not allow yourself to harbor disturbing thoughts that cause you to depend on bad habits. It is time to learn how to change from a low level of negative thinking to a higher level of positive thinking. It is time to break the dependency on bad habits that tear down.

Now is the time to depend on GOD instead!

Get Honest, Release the Weights, and Live Fully Alive

What an awful load people carry around with them when they live dependant on negative habits. It causes them to live only half alive due to the constant negative effects and fear of being found out.

Get honest with yourself and with other people. Release those heavy weights you have been carrying around on your shoulders and leave them in the past. Allow yourself the right to break the dependency on any bad habits.

Commit to Depend on the Almighty Power of GOD and Live Fully Alive!

“They should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28

A Daily Christian Meditation to be a Channel for God’s Spirit:

I keep my life calm and composed. My task today is to find peace and acquire serenity. I think of constructive things until calmness comes. I seek the Lord and in Him I live, and move, and have my being. When I am calm I act as a channel for God’s Spirit. The things of the Spirit come in to take their place. God’s love and peace and calm come in and fill me up and I live fully alive.

Closing thoughts: In the spiritual world, just as in the material world, there is no empty space. No matter what fears, worries, and resentments you may have, replace them with thoughts of constructive things. Sweep your life clean, allow good to come in, build yourself up, and be constructive by practicing Christian Meditation daily.

May God’s love and peace make you fully alive and fill your life with growing prosperity!

God bless you always,
Brenda

Successful Leadership – The Power of Teamwork and 4 Keys to Creating a Winning Team!

Successful Leadership – The Power of Teamwork and 4 Keys to Creating a Winning Team!

Successfully Lead a Winning Team and Together Achieve Incredible Things

Successful Leadership and Winning TeamsSuccessful leaders have discovered

the power of teamwork.

Much can be accomplished when

working together with others.

However, it is not just a numbers game;

the key here is working together.

Getting the job done requires a winning team.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
— John C Maxwell

Teams come in all shapes and sizes; from married couples, or small business partnerships, to large organizations of all sorts. A team not only provides companionship but it helps accomplish goals.

Every team requires a leader, and a successful leader knows that there is power in creating a winning team. However, simply having a team of people can be useless.

On the other hand, developing a winning team multiplies a leader’s value and makes them better than they would be on their own. It enables them to do what they do best and tap into the resources that those on the team do best. Then, incredible things happen and everyone on the team wins.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow…And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
— Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

4 Keys to Creating a Winning Team:

1. Develop a Winning Attitude in Team Members

A winning attitude is a positive attitude and must be prevalent. A winning attitude is developed in team members and they believe in their leader, themselves, their teammates, and the vision to be accomplished. Negative thinking is not allowed to creep in and hinder the task at hand.

2. Teach the Value of Personal Development and Character Building

Each team member as an individual must keep improving. Why? Because the highest reward for their efforts isn’t what they get from it, but the person they become because of it. And without personal growth they become a weak individual and a weak link on the team.

3. Empower Teammates

Winners are encouragers and empower each other to be more and do more. They strive to make their teammates more successful. Empowered teammates maintain a thriving atmosphere with an expectancy to win.

4. Instill the Importance of Playing to Win

A successful team plays to win. They know the difference between playing to win and playing not to lose is often the difference between excellence and average. They don’t play to ‘give it a try’, they play to reach their goal; they play to win.

Bottom line: A successful leader understands the power of teamwork and the importance of creating a winning team. They know that by doing so, incredible things happen and everyone wins as they grow and develop individually and as a team.

May you successfully lead a winning team and together achieve much and experience an abundance of growing prosperity!

10 New Year Resolutions to Renew Your Spirit!

10 New Year Resolutions to Renew Your Spirit!

Simple Resolutions to Enrich & Revitalize Your Life

Spiritual New Year ResolutionsThe New Year is just beginning.

Why not make this year’s resolutions ones that

will enrich and revitalize your life?

If you find there are a million things you intend to do,

but somehow you forget, procrastinate, or

just plain run out of time, I know how you feel.

Sometimes the simplest things are…

the hardest to accomplish.

When you evaluate your to-do list and priorities

this new year, move the things that enrich your life to the top of the list.

Clear out what you can when it comes to those things that drain you, and make simple resolutions that will renew your spirit. Even though they may be difficult to commit to at times, the results will definitely be worth the effort.

10 Simple New Year Resolutions to Revitalize Your Life
(You’ve probably already heard them a thousand times, but they still work.)

1. Read the Bible cover-to-cover this year. Keep a helpful Bible study resource handy to get you through those difficult reading points that may cause you to lose heart.

2. Volunteer your time and talents. Reach out to others through service in community and church based organizations. Be a blessing to your neighbors by serving them in some way.

3. Heal broken relationships. Forgive those whom you need to forgive. Don’t allow unforgiveness to hold you back any longer. Forgive and allow peace to rule.

4. Read a classic book. Enrich your life through some of the classics that you may have yet to experience such as C.S. Lewis, A.W. Tozer, Jane Austen, Shakespeare, etc… And don’t let reading be your excuse now that so many books are available on audio.

5. Make a monthly date night with your spouse. For those of you who are married, dedicate at least one day a month for a special date time with your spouse. Take a day to give your spouse the intimate attentions he or she deserves and enrich your marriage.

6. Pray daily. Bring your thoughts, praises, concerns, and requests to God every morning (at least). Stop trying to live life all by yourself. Talk to God and He will listen attentively and respond specifically.

7. Take a vacation. To many people never take vacations, but a time of refreshing is very important. Even God rested on the seventh day!

8. Renew relationships. Contact a friend or relative you haven’t heard from in a long time. Relationships are important to God and they should be important to us.

9. Visit a museum. Why not? There is a museum for just about everything. Revitalize your life by sparking a long-forgotten interest.

10. Share the Gospel. It is what we are here on earth to do. Make it a priority this year to share the Good News and show your concern for the spiritual welfare of those you come in contact with.

The New Year is a gift from God and a fresh start.

May you start strong, revitalize your life and experience growing prosperity!

Aim higher –

Cheers,
Brenda

Will Christian Meditation Benefit My Life Long-term or Short-term Only?

Will Christian Meditation Benefit My Life Long-term or Short-term Only?

Know What to Expect from Christian Meditation

Christian Meditation Benefits Long TermChristian meditation is meant to be…

a daily habit in every believer’s life.

Through meditating on God’s Word

we gain understanding, knowledge, and wisdom to live a successful and prosperous life.

Christian Meditation Short-term Benefits

The Word of God provides nourishment to our spirit, soul, and body. Just as one meal of food will not nourish and sustain us long-term, neither will one session of meditation on biblical truths.

Give us this day our daily bread. Why? Because God wants us to seek Him and walk with Him daily. If He gave us our monthly bread, think how many of us might wait until the next month to seek Him!

Meditation on God’s Word is a way to draw us closer to the Lord and strengthen our relationship with Him. We would not expect to continually know a person better after spending time with them only once.

Faith also comes from hearing the Word of God. But faith does not continue to grow from hearing only once.  Take a look at the following verse and you will notice it says “hearing and hearing.” This is an ongoing process.

“Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.”
— Romans 10:17

The world we live in is busy and chaotic and constantly bombarding us with negative thoughts and images everywhere we go. Do you think this is a surprise to God? Of course not; He warns us not to be conformed to this world. This requires renewing our mind daily with God’s Word. (Romans 12:2)

Christian Meditation Long-term Benefits

Now that you understand the importance and need for daily meditation, and that the benefits are primarily short-term; let’s take a look at long-term results.

The Bible is the divine Word of God. It is living and powerful. (Hebrews 4:12)  The scriptures are also full of “suddenly” verses. Meditating daily on His source of divine, living, power, sets us up for a suddenly.

Your life can change in a flash when the “suddenly” hits and the eyes of your understanding are opened. A transformation can take place in an instant that lasts a lifetime.

God also rewards obedience. And meditation on His Word is a commandment for all believers. Obedience to the things of God should be at the heart of every believer. The result is the manifestation of many blessings in our life on earth.

The ultimate long-term benefit, of obedience to God, is eternal rewards in heaven. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Whichever way you want it: Christian meditation practiced out of a love and obedience for God has the power to benefit your life short-term and long-term; even eternally.

Why not commit to making meditation on God’s Word a priority in your life?

God bless you,
Brenda
